What surprised you the most when you went to another country?

 

It was a big surprise to me that the shops in Berlin do not work on Sundays and that I am not a shop working 24/7 in the vicinity.

I came to Italy at the time of riposo and I was really hungry. All restaurants were closed when I arrived. This was really surprising to me.

And yes I was also surprised by Germany's Sundays.

When visiting Austria the nice thing about it is its beautiful landscapes and challenging mountain ranges, besides the stone houses which are also very nice.

Japan, I was very surprised when I visited Japan 
This is because the cityscapes seen in anime were actually vividly expressed.

For me it's honestly the variety of different people you meet and their culture.

Every country has their own culture and people that mostly behave

and act very differently from what you're used to in your country.

 

Besides that there is obviously the point of sightseeing.

As I was walking home after midnight on a snowy winter day in a town called Krosno in Poland, I came face to face with a deer for the first time in my life. It was a very beautiful animal, I wish I could see it easily in my own country.

Hi, most surprising for me was when I visited Italy. The restaurants there open for lunch, then close from about 2pm until 5pm then open again for tea time. When I went, I did struggle to find something to eat between 2pm-5pm.

Well. two weeks ago I visited Great Britain. I thought that driving on the other side of the road will be very difficult, but it wasn't.

Country side roads were small, but I was able to see everything. Small villages, roads and the great view...

I've met kind people.. if you need help, they will help you with everything you need. Also, I couldn't believe, how many speed camers is in GB..

When you come to China, you will find Chinese culture rich and colorful, delicious food, magnificent architecture, exciting entertainment facilities and so on. Coming to China may surprise you! If there is an opportunity, we welcome international friends to visit China.

So, we live in Italy and last summer we went in vacation in France, Nice.

Since it was our first time there, we tried to search everywhere for some restaurant doing traditional french food but there was no way we could've found one. Ended up eating again classic lasagna

Oh, yes, I would visit China with great pleasure, but I'm afraid that I will often get lost and not understand where to go because I don't know Chinese.

But looking at how tourists from China come to my country, I can conclude that most travel in groups with an interpreter, which makes it much easier to stay in the country, but I prefer to travel alone. 

I remember once a couple of Chinese people came up to me in the subway and tried to find out from me where they should go, but they didn't know either Russian or English and had to somehow communicate through an interpreter. It was an interesting experience!

As far as I have seen in most countries I have been to, people think it normal to wear shoes in their homes. This is not the case in my culture
