Registering issue

So my friend and I want to play together but when he is registering on the website, it says this: To create ETS2MP account you must have ETS2 assigned to your steam account. If you have it in your steam library try to check if your profile is public. If it's private make it public and press F5. He does have Euro Truck Simulator 2 in his steam library and his profile is public so we have no clue what to do now as I didn't experience this issue while registering.

Close steam and start Steam with admin rights

Try to set everything to public and check some time after, the steam server does not refresh every second, they are very slow.

You can chek if it is a problem from steam or from ets2mp by going on your friend's steam page in private mode (or disconnected from your profile) and look if you can see ETS2

another point is that it cannot be added as a "non-steam game" on steam, it must be an actual steam copy.

Is it shared account ? Like familly share ? If so it will not work he needs to buy his own ets2 copy

You can add non steam games to steam you can buy retail game ets2 in shops and activate it on steam

It is a shared account but I gave him my disc and he installed the game using that disc. I dont know did he use my key or did he find one online though although I think he might've used my one. I'll ask him as soon as he is back on skype

You can't activate one key on two accounts even if they are in family sharing that's why he can't activate it

I believe you got your answer it's not working on the second account with family sharing Locked
