Hello there!

We are proud to announce that a new version 0.2.4.3.2 has been released!

Features

  • Supported Spring Graphics/Weather (Euro Truck Simulator 2: v5.0, American Truck Simulator: v3.1)
  • Custom content for St. Patrick's Day celebrations (by the Add-On Team)
    • Available only for Euro Truck Simulator 2
    • Added on 17th March, removed on 20th March
  • A brand new Head Up Display for all trucks
    • Features the map, current speed, maximum speed, cruise control, and current time
    • Exclusively shows the remaining distance to drive
    • Available at your truck dealer now!

Fixes

  • Fixed a game bug regarding excessive hardware resources usage
    • When the game loses focus (e.g., by switching back to desktop), the game frame time is heavily limited to avoid hogging the GPU
    • Limited the hardware usage when reaching 500 FPS

Changes

  • Closed off another dead end on ProMods The Great Steppe (by the Add-On Team)
  • Updated the Smart Signs modification
  • Removed support for Frosty Winter Weather Mod
  • Disabled the winter season effect (snowing)

Hello;

I know that I am suffering from a lack of knowledge of dev speak, what is meant by “closed off a dead end road in ProMods Great Steppe”?

Dead end roads are, to my knowledge, closed off by definition?

Can some sample images or a greater explanation be provided please?

Thanks in advance

RB.

there were some roads wich ended in nowhere and if you took them you would fall out of the map. (the invisible Wall was just missing)

Maybe a stupid question but how do I activate/show/hide the Head Up Display? The list of changes says it is available at the truck dealer, but how?

You need to purchase it for your truck, it's an interior accessory that goes only in "windshield corner" slot, where it replaces portable navigator or cellphone.

It can't be turned off, unlike built-in navigation, you can adjust zoom level with navigation zoom mode key.

I recommend highest zoom level, or it is too small and hard to see, especially in bright light, when it's raining it gets all blurry, because it is displayed "outside" in front of the windshield.

Because of that, I don't like it that much, it needs some adjustments, or it's only for 4k resolution.
