Removal of Scout Cars

Honestly in all my time playing TruckersMP I never really had a issue with them. I think between the scout car and other addon vehicles (buses and the alternating vehicle) it makes the game better since it isn't just all trucks on the roadway.

Hello,

I don't have a problem with Scout vehicles staying on the road, but I think there should be some requirements for acquiring that vehicle. Because most of the drivers whose aim is to troll in the game are driving this vehicle and most of the time it can make us experience hell.
 

For example, one of the requirements of driving a Scout vehicle may be a limit on the number of active bans. In addition, the driver must have a vehicle permit according to the ban record history. For example, if the driver has more than two reckless driving, collision or trolling records, that driver should be prevented from taking the Scout vehicle. 

 

Of course, it's just an idea that I thought about for a moment, but that made perfect sense to me. This idea can be developed and implemented through reflection and discussion.

There should be a variety of vehicles in the game. Although these cars are often the culprits of accidents, but without them I can no longer imagine the game

i dont think Scout cars should be removed, they're an extra feature for people who dont want to drive always trucks, and i really like that TMP sometimes updates the game by giving us AI cars, the detail of the cars arent the best but still a good thing

If this is a truck game, passenger cars should be removed. in some cases they do much more damage than a truck. at the same time, users are not very good at using them, and the game dynamics are very different. If the problems are fixed, I don't see much harm in that. but for now they are dangerous.

While yes, they are a staple trolling vehicle in the CD Warzone. There are a handful of players who know how to use it, even with a caravan attached.

 

However, removing them won't solve anything at all.

1. Trolls will just move to back to trucks. (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLk4FvVg9Bilq9lt-9shDw4_M1bVx9ty-j I have an entire playlist of Truck Sim that shows trollls and bad drivers in trucks).
2. You take away Staff's Police Cars. Which is counter-intuitive for Real Operation Events.
3. See my PFP? That's early Duisburg (i want to say 2017ish), before NCZ was added to the town before the makeover. All that was caused by trolls and impatient drivers.

If they wanted to remove the cars they could they could make it to where only staff could use them I'm sure.

If we make scout cars a patreon exclusive thing, I think there would definitely be a reduced number of trolls. Unfortunately there will never be a permanent solution to trolls, but having a system to reduce the numbers would be nice

Like somebody else has said before me. It is about the individual driving the car. No reason why they should be removed as the majority use them correctly however I'm sure the same folks also troll in Trucks too so it would be no point either way. Long Live The Scout!!

Personally, I think scout cars being "annoying" or "trolling" is just a stereotype. Whilst the majority of trolls do use scout cars as it makes it easier for them to cause chaos, scout cars can be very good for roleplaying escorts etc. Me and 2 friends once took a train between 2 scout cars along the C-D road, and we tried not to cause any accidents and we were not trolling, just having a bit of fun with them. If they were removed then it would remove an awful lot of fun from the game in my opinion...

As much as I hate when idiots get behind the wheel of scout cars I don't think they should be removed. VTC's use them for convoy control and people like to use them for an alternative to driving a truck once in a while

As someone who drives cars a lot, you are right. But I don't think trolling will decrease even if the cars are removed. I will give an example from myself. Because I am a small car, oncoming trucks drive me and drive me off the road. They're older than me and they have /fix commands, I can't do anything against them.

 

In short, trolling has nothing to do with the tool used. The main factor is in the person using the tool.

Scout cars have a use, maybe if they were banned from the CD road where if you get too close it kicks you automatically possibly. Scout cars have multiple pro's such as being able to get around quickly, useful for convoys, i cant think of anything else but I don't think they should be nerfed. Also you would still have the PAV sooo.

I personally like replacement vehicles and scout vehicles, so it would be sad if these disappeared.

I think you came up with this idea because of the unrest caused by the people who use skoda in the game. The main problem here is the people who use it, rather than the tool used. Methods should be developed to turn reckless drivers into better drivers, otherwise trolling will continue regardless of the vehicle used.
