Skodas/car

Can somebody do something about skodas/cars in the game being this ever powerful being that can flip trucks and push trucks out the way like im a bit of paper...im sick of being flipped by them or barged out the way from them when there is at times a 60x weight difference.......or better still

 

get rid of them (mayby except for patreon subs)

The Skoda is that powerful because its physics are based on a truck.

I agree that these physics require adjustments to make it more similar to its real world counterpart.

Im aware they are based off a truck,

It's not the Skoda but the reckless driving player who you should direct your dissatisfaction to, if at all.

The Scout car should be accessible only in these 3 situations:
1. It has been used by a staff member with the POLICE skin only;
2. It is used by the members of a convoy escorts with the convoy skin while performing their respectable jobs;
3. It is used ONLY by paying members, but without any skins.

This should ballance the use.

With the exception of the first datum, I don't see how any of the suggested options address the issue of players causing collisions with the scout.

Making the Scout available to a limited number of players would certainly reduce the number of vehicles in road traffic, but it wouldn't guarantee appropriate driving behavior.

Actually it does. You want to be a bomb, then pay full price to be a bomb. This way fewer people will use them as these contraptions are not easy to drive.
Paying, sorry, donating does not exclude you from been in a "REC+BAN" situation, because your vehicular control is bad.

Agreed. I've had this convo many times with my mates, it's odd that I game made for trucking has "civilian" cars that are openly available. Having a sort of paywall for the vehicle is a good way to reduce the numbers of accidents, on top of that every single patreon scout I see drives properly and with respect. This is a game to simulate truck driving, not Burnout

The unproven allegation that mainly non-donating players are the cause of intentional misuse and disregard for the use of passenger cars and other vehicles contrary to their intended purpose is a defamation of all players in good standing and a discrimination of those players who don't have the financial means to become a patreon of TruckersMP.

Speaking from experience, I have never once been hit by a patreon driver, because the type of people who donate to TMP are the ones who take it seriously and want to see it prosper

Good suggestions to balance the use of Scoda, but the main point here is the person who drives rather than the vehicle used. Even if the skoda drivers who disturbed the owner of the subject and caused him to open this issue, they would have caused this inconvenience even if they were driving a truck. Whatever vehicle these people use, they have the potential to annoy other players. By limiting the use of Skoda we will not be able to prevent these irresponsible drivers.

And you say that because you're one of those that ruin in for everybody else or you are saying that our fun should by all means be ruined by default? - EDIT -> I'm not a lawyer, but the way you wrote your comment makes it sound like the truck driver is screwed and should be screwed by cripples in cars. Is that better? I hope so as this is the direct way, yet not the pretiest thing in the world. I am going to say that you've aked for it.

That may be so, but you are able to see a truck from afar and will be able to react in time. The F1-option works only in not-moving stqance.

Well said. The allegation IS in fact against non donating players, it's logical that people would be less inclined to cause mischief if there was some form of barrier for the car. I got one wouldn't want to spend money on a game and get banned. I would like to say I am correct in saying (through my own experience) that never ONCE in my history on TMP have I been hit recklessly by a patreon driver. There may have been the odd swerve to avoid an accident, but it was never not justified. Just a quick /fix, apologies in chat, and on our way. 9/10 Patrons of TMP donate because they want to see the game improve and thrive. They wouldn't be going around causing mischief. If you want to play Burnout, play Burnout, don't download TMP and cause havoc. It's a trucking SIM, not City Car Driving SIM. Limiting access to only admins (police), and convoy pilots makes the most sense, as that is for the simulation. If the player needs to get places, they can fast travel, or use a truck. There is also the job dispatcher if you want to unlock a certain town, just take a job to that town.

Passenger vehicles account for the largest share of vehicles in road traffic and should be considered in this way in a truck simulation for the sake of realism.

However, if you want to see only trucks on the road, then your suggestion is the way to go.

 

Nevertheless, the allegation remains unproven and doesn't become true by giving examples of the opposite.
Be aware that it shows a lack of respect for the individual to lump everyone together.

Heck even Viva trucking has an ad on TFM poking fun at pilot cars. If it was unacceptable, the Devs would not have put that ad in game. If this isn't a sign that even the Devs know there is a pilot car issue, I don't know what is

In my opinion, since I prefer the Skoda more than trucks, I would not completely remove it or restrict it to Patreons only. Even if it was, people could simply return to trucks for ramming other drivers.

The developers do not choose what ads play on TFM. This is completely up to TruckersFM Management.

TFM and TMP are 2 separate things. TFM can do what they like, even mock TMP if they wish but it could cause their partnership to go poof

Wouldn't be as easy tho. Skoda's are so much smaller than trucks, this is what let's em drive almost like a bike, filtering through traffic. A truck wouldn't be as rapid and agile, and would tip more frequently, not fit where the Skoda can.

smaller than a truck but still using the same physics as a truck hence they can ram you out the way like your nothing.
