Last month we officially announced our plans to rework the country of Switzerland in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and since the work is progressing really nicely, we are now ready to take a look at another wonderful city that will receive a fresh look in this challenging project - Geneve!

Due to the complicated and turbulent history that Geneve shares with France, it is safe to say that it is the most "French city" that lies beyond the actual state borders. Among many other details, this legacy is mostly noticeable in the local architecture, which we hope will be better represented after having the entire city rebuilt from scratch.

Additionally, the rework will further enhance your experience of visiting the city and its surroundings. It will be possible to drive along the beautiful Geneva lake, ride through the city center, cross the Rhône river with a view of the lake and a famous fountain, and then continue via A40 further East in the direction of France.

The economy was recreated as well in order to better reflect the real world and to have the city offer more variety. Due to this, the overall layout had to be expanded, and it will include an industrial zone, agricultural area, railway terminal, chocolate factory, and shopping mall. We truly hope many of those who are familiar with the city will instantly recognize these new additions.

While we are currently unable to say when exactly will this project be finished and available to players, make sure to let us know if you like what you have seen so far.
