Pilot cars camping

I drove at overpopulated areas and noticed something:

I've seen so many pilot cars camping at the Calais intersection, mostly near at the traffic lights.

Do they just enable their beacons and just stay there and does it have some purpose? Is it allowed?

I've also seen some act like as if they were admins and blocking traffic.

I think this is really weird, because pilot cars are meant to escort convoys.

What do you think?

Yes, I agree with you on this. I see it every time, especially at crowded times. I think there should be a rule for this. Or I think the admins should give a strict punishment on this issue.

Cars are allowed to sit there, useless traffic/parking use to be a rule but it was removed a while ago(I believe in 2019). As long that they aren't stopped on the road there is nothing wrong with it.

Players are not allowed to control traffic (per rule 2.3 and 2.6). If you see anyone controlling traffic please use the report system.

There really is no point for them to be sitting there other than to watch traffic. Some people like to sit there and report people- but this violates rule 1.4. No action will be taken in-game for a reporting violation though.

As said above, if they start to block traffic or try to control traffic then you should record them and report them. If not then they are allowed to park there as long as they dont interfere with the flow of the traffic. Personally i think that we should not allowed people to park in certain zones as they just add to the traffic without moving. Especially if they have their beacons on, it could mean more frame drops. But that is not a rule and they are allowed to park there.

What The Rules Suggest
I can see the reasoning behind your statement as it can be considered odd from a realism perspective. However, if they are simply parking in those areas without doing the following :

  • Interfering with the normal movement and progression of vehicles through the use of obstructions or other means of control

  •

Impersonation as an official representative of the game or its staff, whether through words or actions, without the proper authority or credentials

Then there is see no reason for action to be taken against them.

My Experiences
As someone who frequently participates in the TruckersMP community as a regular driver, I can speak to my own experiences in this regard. In my interactions with these drivers, I have not encountered any instances where they have broken the rules that TruckersMP enforces. In fact, they have generally been respectful and mindful of their surroundings, and have not caused any issues for me personally. It seems to me that as long as we are able to navigate our own journeys without interference from these drivers, it is best to simply mind our own business and allow them to do the same.

Hello friend! Thank you for creating such a good issue.

I often see the vehicles you mention. I think because they are not admins, they emulate the admins and try to control the road like them 😄 At least some of them do not have the authority to ban like the admin, but I think they report the player by recording the images of the road.

“Be careful who you trust, Sergeant. People you know can hurt you the most.”

Actually I'm having a hard time understanding why this is happening...it started out that it was a truck game...it's about to end up in a GTA V...cars and buses I can't stand them, they don't make sense in a truck game... It's better if instead of putting cars and buses, they put all models of trucks from the oldest to the newest...😍

REMEMBER that you are playing a SIMULATOR GAME and this game is NOT a RACING GAME. If you like races, maybe you're on the wrong game. SL: 80-90 Km/h
