Failed to verify files error

Hello, I have this problem, when I launch the launcher, it says loading and then I get error "Failed to verify files". I have set the path to ETS2 correctly and I don't know what the problem might be.

What I've tried:

• Verify game in steam
• restart PC

I don't know if I should try reinstalling the launcher or ETS2. Also I have ETS2 on external HDD, I don't know if that can be the problem too.

Hello there,

 

Please try the following steps.

1. Go to "Settings"

2. Press "Browse"

3. Navigate to a directory of your choice (not were TruckersMP is currently installed)

4. Right click > Select "New" > Click on "Folder" > Create a folder named "TruckersMP"

5. Click the new folder once to select it

6. Press "Select Folder"

7. Press "Save"

Would you mind showing where the ETS2 directory is?

The TMP launcher can be a bit picky with which directories you use.  I went to Steam>right click ETS2>Properties>Local Files>Browse
And then I copy and pasted that directory into the Game Directory Path(s) under Settings in the new launcher.

Added new information after the first 2 lines

Got the same problem a few minutes ago. I selected the path for ETS,the launcher updated and i can play online as usual.

If i try to add ATS path,the laucher will update but can´t be finished and I get the same error shown above.So I selected a "fictional path" for ATS,update started again and at least i can run TMP for ETS.

Maybe this helps if you want to play ETS only.
