MUSA-800 Posted November 13, 2022 Share Posted November 13, 2022 I've recently reported someone for running the red light just I was about to enter the intersection and the moderation team declined the report because while the person ran the red light they did not cause any damage. Interstate Nomad Posted November 15, 2022 Share Posted November 15, 2022 Basically, you are required to follow both, with the exception that you are perfectly entitled not to follow them if no other user is in the "immediate area". How ever "immediate area" is defined... On a serious note, always proceed with caution if you decide to ignore traffic laws and road signage. If in the course of an incident the proof suggests that your behavior was the cause of or led to it, you can be punished. Here are the two sections of Game Rules §2: Quote Traffic laws and road signage must be obeyed. This means European road laws and signage must be followed in ETS2 and American road laws and signage must be followed in ATS. Failure to adhere to the respective road laws and signage could result in a punishment. Quote Traffic lights and stop signs can be ignored if no other users are in the immediate area. Black Alcoa Posted November 21, 2022 Share Posted November 21, 2022 As I learned from this incident that happened to me years ago, the reward for running a red light is getting kicked off the server if you're not going to cause confusion, accident, or danger.
