Connection Error, Retry?

NordhessenGaming

Question

Hi,

I have a problem, when I'm in my launcher and want to update TruckersMP, the following error always comes up, see attachment.

I have already done the following: restarted the PC several times, restarted the Internet, reinstalled TruckersMP, ran the launcher as admin and checked ETS via Steam

I hope I can be helped.

Regards
north

Hello,

Follow these steps and let us know if you still encounter the problem:

Quote

1. Create a text file called tmp.txt and put the below text inside of it (You create a text file by right clicking on the desktop. Then go to 'Create/New' -> 'Text document')

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319]
"SchUseStrongCrypto"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319]
"SchUseStrongCrypto"=dword:00000001

2. When saving the file, change the name to "tmp.reg".
3. After saving, run the executed file and agree to the changes that it will make to registry.
4. Restart the PC and try again to update the launcher.

There is a possibility that the error message will change after following the above solution. In such case, try the following:

- Go to Internet Options -> Advanced Tab -> Scroll down to the bottom and enable "Use SSL" options that are available for you ( https://prnt.sc/tcOjOwPQuGHZ )

- Additionally, you could try to add "https://truckersmp.com/" to the trusted websites list in the same window but in "Security" tab ( https://prnt.sc/cGpvVWw3f1cL )

Hello there, @NordhessenGaming 👋

Could you please tell me if you are using Avira antivirus? We have found a pattern that this error occurs for the users that are using Avira antivirus and I would like to know if this is the case here too.

Sincerely,

Leon Baker

sorry to enter this topic too,got the same problem.

already used the solution above-no changes at all. update windows/net framework. deinstalled AVIRA and reinstalled TMP.

no connection -no protected SSL channel could be established.

Unfortunately, we do not have any other solutions right now for that issue other than making a complete re-installation of the operation system.

I realize that this is the last thing one might want to do but that is the only known solution we can offer in such cases. Thanks for understanding.

Hello, the new launcher seems to solve the problem,at least for ETS. I selected game path-updated the launcher again...and it works.

However i try to add ATS game path-the laucher force a update, which can´t be finished and locked the laucher to start for both games. So i selected a "fictional path" for ATS,the laucher updated again and it´s possible to start the new laucher again.

So basicly you can only play TMP for ETS...at least for me.

Thanks for the help so far, hope there will be a solution for both games to run properly.

Hey

I just tried it. And it throws me an error that the data launcher-state.json does not exist. I checked the file fad and the file really isn't there.

The question now is where do I get the file from?

Nord

To solve your issue, please do the following:

1. Hit windows key

2. Immediately type: %appdata% and hit enter

3. Find the 'TruckersMP' folder and leave the windows open

4. Open the launcher

5. Go to settings

6. Now copy the path of the TruckersMP folder -> https://gyazo.com/9e1e16573a5c8796e88c0566fc38b04c

7. Paste it in to: TruckersMP installation directory -> https://gyazo.com/02e29f618948616f33d9a1e4855d13cb

8. Hit save

9. Go back to 'Play' and install latest updates (You might have to do it twice or so. I at least had to 🙂)

I hope that solves the issue 🙂

We'll be looking forward to hearing from you 🙂
