However, there are certain tasks where one manufacturer's options will perform better than the other. If you're looking to work on multi-threaded intensive tasks - such as video editing or transcoding, or heavy multi-tasking activities with dozens of browser tabs open - AMD processors are more capable at the high end and more cost-effective in terms of price. Intel processors aren't bad, but you'll have to pay more for the same performance, though it may be worth it if Thunderbolt 3 is something you really need and you're looking ahead with newer versions.
