cant launch the launcher. when i do it freezes

hey all, im struggling over here lol. i cant launch the launcher 90% of the time. even in administrator mode. and when it does launch, the update download wont make it past .06 mbps.

ive re installed the launcher twice.. opened my fire wall. i have no clue what else to do and im starting to lose my marbles. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there!

 

Please try with a VPN ? 

I can recommend https://windscribe.com/

 

Here's how to get the VPN downloaded and set up (Step 6 regarding creating an account is up to you, you can always test without an account, as far as I remember): 

 

1. Go to https://windscribe.com/
2. Click the green 'Download Windscribe' button
3. Click the green 'Windows' button
4. launch the 'Windscribe.exe' to install the VPN
5. Hit install to install it at the default place or hit the gear to customize the install location
6. Once installed hit 'Get Started' and create an account (remember to put an email address + activate the email with the link in the activation email for 10 GB of free data pr. month)
7. Go back to the launcher and select 'Login' and sign in with your account
8. Go to 'Locations' and scroll down to Germany and select 'Frankfurt Castle'
9. Test the TruckersMP launcher and see if you can finish the download of the launcher.

 

If everything works after step 9, try testing again without the VPN on. If the launcher still works, you're good to go but might want to use the VPN when new updates gets released ? 

If the launcher stops working after stopping the VPN, you'll most likely have to run the VPN at all times (You can test it, by connecting to a server and then disabling the VPN. If you stay connected, you need the VPN for: Launcher updates and connecting to our servers)

 

If you didn't create an account, I think you have 500 MB or maybe a few GB of VPN data, creating the account is fully up to you ?
