Do you think the Calais - Duisburg road can be made a more beautiful and aesthetic road with an update by the TruckersMP Team?

Hello Dear Friends,

As you know, some parts of the Calais - Duisburg road, which we travel frequently, have been renovated and arranged by the TruckersMP Team.
As an example, one of them is the junction that connects us to Calais - Duisburg Road when we come from the Brussels road.
I don't know if any permission from the game makers is required or if it will be a problem. But if it's okay, the Plugin team or any authorized team can bring a nice update about this way. Changing the bends, barriers and crossings of the road by bringing various differences similar to the road quality of the Alps will distract us from the usual image. And I think it will be incredibly enjoyable.

 

-What do you think about such an update?

-Is it a difficult and lengthy update to do?

-Is it possible to do this?

• I think it's an excellent idea. I think TruckersMP should address this kind of issue on the management side. Because 90% of TruckersMP users get stuck on the C-D path. In this way, applications can be made on the roads where people hang out like this.

It takes more than cosmetic updates to make this road attractive and challenging.

Landscapes have to be shaped, horizon images improved.

 

I guess that the infamous road between Duisburg and Calais will disappear for good once the Benelux countries get a future update by SCS.

I think SCS will do this in the near future. SCS improved a lot on the map and started building beautiful roads and cities that everyone liked (eg Alps or Hanover). SCS accelerated its work on maps andt the map update is very close to the C-D route, which we call the thin road which means that the popular road will be renewed soon. I don't know how this renewal will be whether it's a real life highway or just a change of textures but change is required.

 

I think TMP has taken this into account and working on a region that will soon renovated is just waste of time. Other things can be done instead, for example; Patreon & Public vehicles should have interior design.

I would looooove to actually have this road less attractive in order to discourage people from regrouping on it and to have them exploring other areas of the map

The following is my opinion and not necessarily representative of TruckersMP. I doubt TruckersMP will make any major map edits to the Calais to Duisburg road and would rather keep the game map as intended. The only exceptions have been is the custom TruckersMP city and the Brussel junction which have both been positive impacts for the community. I believe it's SCS Software's duty to rework that road and not us

i just want to see barriers on the side of the road so no one can over take illegal, park up and force lag for youtube views...

For me, that part of the map should be in non collisions zone, even if you just pass by to take the ferry or the train, you get trolled

it could but why should it?

 

1) This takes time and uses recourses that could be used more effectively

 

2) TMP would need to get custom assets and data files to do this making TMP even bigger to download and more things to load on your game

 

3) And they have already changed the road a little with the Rotterdam/brussels intersection
