Cats Posted May 26, 2022 Report Posted May 26, 2022 Suggestion Name: Photo mode afk kick. Suggestion Description: Disabling auto kick when the server thinks you’re away whilst in photo mode. The 10 minute time of getting kicked would be reset when a photo is taken, or a setting in the photo menu is changed. Any example images: None. Why should it be added?: When a user is doing convoy media in a simulation server (or any other server that afk kick is enabled for that matter) we will always have our chat and name tags off so if we do reach the 10 minute mark we wouldn’t realise that we have got kicked - but rather think that there is a gap which is a natural and common occurrence in convoys. This will be very useful to media team members since a convoy is limited time and if you were to get kicked, there’s no going back to redo what you missed as a convoy is an ongoing event and won’t stop to accommodate what you missed, of course. Although I don’t want it fully disabled whilst in photo mode, as it will just be abused by players wanting to sit at Calais bus station to avoid being kicked out the server, instead the timer could be reset when either a photo is taken which the game could distinguish. Alternately, the timer could be reset when a change is made inside of the setting menu, such as a weather/time/FOV/saturation etc. change is made to the display. Thanks! 5
Phon Posted February 2, 2024 Report Posted February 2, 2024 Hey, The potential for abuse is too high here as people could easily go into photo mode to avoid being kicked. Note that since this suggestion was made we have changed the AFK kick to be more lenient and it is dynamic based on population, therefore this is less of an issue than at the time it was raised.
