In ETS2 and in TruckersMP Simulation servers, the only way to go faster than 110 Km/h (68 mph) is when your truck is going downhill, like Granite said. Once the vehicle reaches the speed limit, it can't accelerate any further, so only gravity can make it go a bit faster, for a while at least.
