Audio not working on newest version of ETS2

Hey there , recently i updated ETS2 and since then there has been no audio in game whatsover . I have tried removing all my mods , updating drivers and veryfing intergretity of files and nothing seems to work . However , if i downgrade to any older version , it restores audio but then I can't play truckersmp . Does anyone know a fix?

What version of Windows are you running?

Remove any unsupported or outdated mods from mod folder in both ETS2MP and Euro Truck Simulator folders in your documents. Upload this file here: C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\game.log.txt

The following just solved an audio issue for a different player over on ModMail, so I figured I'll send it here too  

 

To fix your issue, make sure the correct sound device is selected for Windows:

 

1. Hit the windows key once
2. Type sound
3. Open 'Sound settings'
4. Select the correct device for 'Output'

 

You can also go the the bottom right hand corner and right click on the speaker icon, and then select 'Open settings for sound'.

 

If that doesn't fix it, try again to right click on the speaker in the bottom right hand corner and then select 'Sounds' then go to the 'Player' tab (Not entirely sure if that is what it's called in English).
Then disable all devices you don't use (You should then end up with 1 or 2 devices active)

 

Right click the proper device and select 'Use by default'.
