Which is the Best Way to take a Job?

Hello, I hope you all can help me out!

 

Since the beginning of my playtime on both ETS2 and ATS, I have found myself unsure of what system to use when taking jobs. Which one brings the most bang for your buck?

 

• Price Per Distance
• Price Overall
• ???

 

I like being efficient and want to use my playtime wisely to make the most $$$ in the least amount of distance!

You will find "price per distance" the most effective setting to gain the most money per kilometer.

 

Also, less kilometers spend will not only save you time but will keep your fuel and maintenance costs low in the long run.

You answered your own question. If you're looking to be efficient, the best jobs you can take are clearly the ones with the higher "Price per distance" ratio. Sorting by price can give you better paid jobs, but at the "cost" of having to spend more time driving. Also, the Price per Distance ones are usually jobs with "skill requirements", like Urgent, Fragile, etc. so not only they pay more for the same distance, they also give more XP that you can use to raise those skills even further in a shorter time.

yes less km and high value cargo. 

But if they repair a fragile load together with a fast delivery load, that's what makes a lot of money, and if they have the eco driver at most, the truck will spend less fuel. It's the result bigger profit.
