OGF- Posted January 1, 2022 Share Posted January 1, 2022 I've been playing this game since 2016 and I remember that the route between Calais-Duisburg and Rotterdam-Europort were always high populated for whatever reason. You would think people would get sick of it by now. There's this one road in Germany I have in mind for an alternative that's very similar with the tight turns and it looks good now because of the Germany rework and would be a nice change for once. Since you only need the base game to drive Calais-Duisburg, there will be many more drivers in this area. 2. Popularity. Calais-Duisburg route was spread through social media like a super congested road full of trollers. It is the most famous road, and attracts alot of people. Just see youtubers like Tony747, and all the others. For example, this video: (ETS2... The Death Road Calais-Duisburg...). 3. Importance of cities. Calais is one of the most important cities in terms of cargo transport. Cargo comes from all parts of world, which is then unloaded at Calais and redirected towards all of Europe. Other cities where you can notice this phenomenon is Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
