CB radio key broken

Hi I have searched for this but cant find many answers, I am having an issue where when I press X to activate my CB radio the key does nothing, the icon that normally pops up when pushing the button isn't there also. it seems as if the key has been unbinded but im pretty sure that is not possible. I have also ran a test on my mic in game and it seems to work when testing

  • As you have said, you can not able to see the icon, while you speak via CB radio - please try and follow these instructions: 

1. Start TruckersMP as Administrator - right click on TMP - launch as admin

2. Go to your TAB - Settings - Sounds - Set there your main microphone device 

3. Click on apply - then press ok, restart your game. 

 

If it did not work, I highly recommend re-installation of your TruckersMP Client 

  • Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
  • Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
  • Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
  • Go to documents and delete this folders called (ETS2MP, ATSMP) 
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
  • Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/ 
  • Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"

Hey @iiVoid!

 

In addition to the steps mentioned by other users, make sure that the cb radio isn't turned off. You can check this by looking at the top of the cab where the cb mic is in-game. If it is on, it should show a channel number which I believe is by default 19. If that isn't displayed, enable the mouse by pressing tab and right-click, and press on the first small dial that I think says off/on. That should turn on the cb radio.
