/:\ Soniic /:\
Since I am using the DAF 2021 I had to change the transmission for the 6 speed illegally, because in low speed with the 12 speed the truck dies

Ruffian
Hello there, Typically I use both 6 speed and 12 speed transmissions (depending on configuration), usually set on Real Automatic but occasionally I like to do some manual shifting. Grey Cat
It depends on the truck. For example, the Renault Magnum runs very well with a 6-speed gearbox.

Dubbeledraaideur [NL]
6 speed for the 4x2 trucks. 12 speed for the 6x4 trucks. And 12+2 speed for the 8x4 trucks. I use full automatic, because my Xbox controller has all its buttons assigned >< Currently I'm visiting all the cities by alphabetic order in promods. So then I mostly drive a 6x4, so I can take any load I like. But during convoys, I mostly use a 4x2 truck. The reaction time of a 6 speed is instant, while with a 12 speed it takes a sec to shift. [ARG] Alfa131313
I used to use 6 or 12 Manual when my Logitech Shifter worked, but after it broke, I use only real automatic with 12 gears.

[G-T-R]GrayWolf
If I carry heavy haul I'm using manual 12+2 transmission under 22 tons lightweight haul I'm using 6 speed automatic transmission.
el macciiii
6 speed manual if the cargo is light .. otherway 12 or 16 speed manual. p/d: transmission of volvo is one of the worse and i try with all the trucks
partyaap
6 speed automatic. I don't have a shifter, so that's why I use automatic. And 6 speed because I don't do heavy hauls. And with a 6 speed the engine sounds are better because the truck is not constantly shifting xd Kind regards, partyaap Driver - Bruijn Logistics Rules | Knowledge Base | Support | Feedback | Recruitment | News | Events | Staff Team *Views and opinions expressed are my own and do not represent anything or anyone else. Ivonole
I use a 12 speed automatic for newer trucks like Scania S and DAF 2021, but I use 12 speed manual for older trucks like Scania Streamline. For racing trucks I use a 6 speed manual because of better shifting. And for Scout, I don't use Scout too much.

Interstate Nomad
I'm using a Scania Opticruise 12 speed version. It works reliable in a long-haulage truck that isn't used for heavy-duty operations in the first place.

Quiber
I use steering wheel it is much better in H for acceleration if it changes a lot and more when you have a Volvo or scannia with 730 or 750 it accelerates those trucks faster. Quiber
The 12 gearbox is very good but in the simulation issue it is better to use 6 because of the issue that is limited to 110km, for personal opinion I use 6 gearbox.
