ETS2 saying game not registered but ATS works fine, whats wrong?

Hi I am trying to help a friend ( who has learning difficulties) setup his MP. I have access to his system so as I can make sure things are all done correctly. but I have hit a problem. the error "This game is not registered to this account".. Though when you log into his TMP it shows both games as registered. I have checked off all the list that comes under the heading "Issues with registering" but cannot seem to find the problem. He was hoping to join us tonight on a convoy but I have still not come up with an answer. Can anyone help please.

Heyou there! 

 

I will try to help you my friend ? 

 

Firstly, please log into your Steam account by the following link https://steamcommunity.com/id/any/edit/settings and make sure your privacy settings are set to public.

If it did not work, then please follow these steps: 

  • Go to your steam privacy settings 
  • Set up everything to Private then close client
  • After that start steam again and select everything back to public and close steam 
  • Then go to your internet browser - clear all cookies there, and cache and close it
  • Then restart your PC. 
  • After this it should be fixed! 
  • Also make sure you really have more than 2 hours in ETS2/ATS on the Steam profile you want to register with. 
  • Lastly, if you're sure about all the above and you have changed your privacy settings accordingly, wait about 15-30 minutes and then try again.

Thanks for your help, [GökBörü] RedWolf [CZ], but after trying all that you suggested still says that "This Game is not registered to this online account"... The guy has 64 hours of ETS2 played his ATS is working fine. It is saying in his linked games that ETS2 & ATS are both registered. So we are still no further forward though your help is appreciated.

Yeah, and has your friend tried re-installed TMP Launcher? Has he tried that? Because if you have added new game to your TMP Account you will probably need to re- intall it.

 

If not please re-install TruckersMP Launcher 

 

How to that? 

Firstly, please remove currently TruckersMP Launcher and then install it again

  • Press the Windows Key + R (Win+R) on your keyboard
  • Enter "%programdata%" and press Enter (without the quotes)
  • Find the folder "TruckersMP" and delete that folder.
  • Go to documents and delete this folders called (ETS2MP, ATSMP) 
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\ and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher"
  • Go to our website and re-download and install the Launcher with admin privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/ 
  • Open The Launcher with admin privileges and click "Install Available Updates"

Hopefully, It will works as soon as possible!
