Hello there. @dario0139

If you have set your betas to none already and yet you cannot play, please try the following: 
- Make sure Steam has finished the download. Keep in mind, sometimes you need to manually start the download.
- Downgrade your game to 1.39 and afterwards upgrade it to 1.40 again. 

Alternatively, there are some steps that might also be helpful for you:

Step 1

1. Open Steam and go to your Library

2. Right-click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 and open Properties...

3. After the Properties window has opened click on the Local Files tab and press Browse Local Files...

4. A folder with game files will open, then copy the path to this folder

Step 2

1. Click Start -> Run (or WIN+R)

2. Type regedit and hit enter

3. Follow the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TruckersMP

4. Double click on InstallLocationETS2

5. Paste the previously copied path in Value data:

Hello again. @dario0139

Please make sure you properly follow the above mentioned steps. These are really helpful and have helped fixing the issue for many others too.
However, if you happen to struggle with anything related to what I have stated above, please have a look at the following article. 
It will explain what to do in detail, including a video: 

Also, keep in mind to always launch TruckersMP as Administrator.


-> Another possible solution would be reinstalling TruckersMP and seeing if this fixes the issue.
 
> First of all search for the folder %programdata%
> Once you opened that folder, try to find the folder TruckersMP and delete it.
> Open your documents and delete the folder(s) ETS2MP ATSMP
> Once you have done that, open your windows control panel and head over to programs and features. Once you are in there, delete the TruckersMP Launcher.
> After that head over to https://truckersmp.com/download and redownload the Launcher.
> Once the launcher is downloaded, run it as Administrator and follow the instructions. Please make sure to enter the correct ETS 2 / ATS path(s)!
