I think a better solution would be something simpler. Maybe this would be an okay solution for Calais though. Because in the areas with traffic, there are not only single-lane intersections consisting of a t-shape, there are wide, large and traffic-lighted intersections at most populated areas. I think we need to do something less ambitious, but if our goal is to increase cross-country traffic, then your option is very good, provided that you need to embroider the adjacent roads. One could argue about how unrealistic it is and you're right. But you know what's not realistic? Having 4800 vehicles passing the same area on a daily basis. What are the up's and down's to this? If players can't afford the toll, they'll go somewhere else or find a way to get more money without playing a simulation. Queue's at the tollbooth. Whether a roundabout's added, tollbooths, more paths to alleviate the traffic, or highway ramps, one thing will remain. Bad drivers and queue's.
