Game save issues

SO recently I have been trying to save edit and have had some success. However lately when I edit a save and load the save up it loads up my latest autosave and not the save I selected. I have tried everything yet no success. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Maybe it works if you move the last auto save file to another location and with that force the game to ask you which file to load, or at least not load an auto save.

I'm not entirely clear on what the issue is. You load the save in-game and it just loads a different save? Have you tried loading the save from the saves menu? (As opposed to just loading the profile)

In addition to the answers given above, are you also able to make sure you're not using a profile that has Steam cloud enabled? It can sometimes cause issues.
