Hi,

 

have you tried using shortcut "Alt + Tab" to switch between windows? I know the blackscreen happens time to time, but that's how I solve it.

Scan the file integrity on steam and delete TruckersMP and reinstall it, this may help you. Also run TruckersMP as administrator.

First of all, thank you for creating a topic and welcome to the TruckersMP forum! 
  
I will try to help you with your problem with some steps you have to follow, I hope I can help you.

 

Solution 1:
Have you tried verifying your game?
> Go to your Steam library
> Right-click on Euro Truck Simulator 2
> Properties
> Local files
> Verify the integrity of the game files > Verify the integrity of the game files
Wait until the game files are verified and try again if the error persists.

Solution 2:
> Press the Windows key + R (Win + R) on your keyboard.
> Enter "% programdata%" and press Enter (without the inverted commas)
> Locate the "TruckersMP" folder and delete that folder.
> Go to (C) \ Program Files and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher" > Go to our website and come back to our website and delete the folder named "TruckersMP Launcher" > Go to our website and come back to our website.
> Go to our website and re-download and reinstall the Launcher with administrator privileges https://truckersmp.com/download/

Solution 3:
you must start TruckersMP as administrator. This is really important.
Also, try to start TruckersMP with DirectX (64)
> Go to your Steam application
> Go to the library
> Go to ETS2 / ATS
> Click on "Play" > Choose "Start with DirectX (64 bits) 
> Choose "Start with DirectX (64 bit). Make sure you choose 64-bit.
> Start ETS2 / ATS
> Select your profile and press "Unity" > First ETS2 / ATS > Click on "Play".
> Start ETS2 / ATS
> Start TruckersMP as administrator. TruckersMP will start with DirectX for all times. Unless you change it again.

Solution 4:
> Update your graphics card driver.
> You may need a new profile, delete the old one and get a new one.
> Do not use unsupported mods. Also, too many mods can cause the game to crash.
> Delete Documents / ETSMP files (Please make a backup copy of this file before deleting).
> This may be due to a missing game file. Go to Steam library / right click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 / Properties / Local files / Check game file integrity.
