    Truckers MP Road Code

Suggestion Name: Truckers MP Road Code Suggestion Description: Adding the European Road Code (ERC) which all players must follow. Any example images: None. Why should it be added?: 1. Europe has universal road rules, this means, the traffic signs, road marks, road rules, etc... are the same across Europe. 2. Having a similar code in ETS2 servers can help players to get knowledge about the road rules and also help Game Moderators to easily detect who was the blame in Web and Game reports. 3. This Road Code can also include indications to the Game Moderators how to effectively manage the traffic in congested junctions and in this case also indicates the players how to act in such traffic control by Game Moderators. 4. If this idea gets approved I will write the entire Truckers MP Road Code to then be reviewed by the Game Managers and make all the necessary adjustments until we have a final code.
  2. TruckersMP Traffic https://traffic.krashnz.com TruckersMP Traffic is a simple tool that tells you how busy a location is in TruckersMP. Note: If you want access to the traffic API just send me a PM. I've added a game status image that you can use in your signatures or wherever you want. Just replace <id> with your TruckersMP ID in the following link: https://traffic.krashnz.com/api/v2/user/<id>/status.png For example, my TruckersMP ID is 6818 so my link would be https://traffic.krashnz.com/api/v2/user/6818/status.png Note: Data is collected from ETS2Map so if the map is down it will say you are offline.

    Traffic light rule

Suggestion Name: Traffic light rule Suggestion Description: Because this is based on a simulation game, I demand that a rule be issued to respective traffic lights, in any area. I have seen that they have certain controls on the game, such as limiting the speed, if possible, I would like the infractions of the game to be enabled obligatority. This is a simulator, those who want to collide have the FlatOut game and those who want to run have the TOCA 3 game. I hope that my proposal is considered, since I am a bit saturated making reports of bad players. Sorry for my anger... Why should it be added?: To avoid crashes, order traffic and take money when it does not respect the traffic light. Any example images:

    Radio for Traffic Jam

Hello everyone, I would like to know a few things, for the radio for Traffic. is there a French radio for the Traffic Jam in ETS ? Thanks you advance for the answers. Cordially.
  5. Hello I'm Ultra. I played alot of TruckersMP in the last 2 years or so. It is a very fun game if you don't look at the griefers ;D. I'd like to give the TruckersMP Team a suggetion, which is AI Traffic in TruckersMP. I can see that this propably would be a problem, because the server needs to spawn Traffic not only around you but also on 4000 other Players at times. It would be also nice, if the Traffic is the same for everyone, so you can't see your friend drive through an AI bus in your screen, because on his screen there is noone. But maybe you guys give it a go and you manage to master this problem . The Pros I thought of are: +The world feels a lot more alive and diverse, which adds to the replayability aspect of your mod. +Because the Server has some griefers online, it could force them to obey more traffic rules to not constantly crash with an AI car. +The Trucks would also obey the Traffic Rules more. For example: People in cities often rush to their destination ignoring lights and speed limits. If you add AI traffic, then suddenly these Trucks have to obey the rules to not crash and earn their money. The Cons i think of: -A big chunk of coding maybe? -System and server Resources need to be tested on that, -There would be more Traffic jams in popular cities. (But also: Hey thats life, traffic jams happen) If you could add this at some point of the developement, it would be awesome ^^

    Traffic light and junction chaos

Hello I’m fairly new to TMP and have only been playing for a few months, Truckers multiplayer is brilliant and I enjoy running a VTC with my friends. However there is one major problem, traffic lights. When I first started playing there was no problem, all vehicles stopped at the junction and moved accordingly to the lights, but recently in the last month I have noticed when ever I pull up to a red light I get someone beeping their horn or calling me an “idiot” or “why are you sitting there”. The fact the lights are not the same for everyone hit me when I was at one of the road works traffic lights on the road to Paris, I waited for the light to go green and proceeded through. But as I got nearly half way a truck started to come my way. Eventually after talking to a few people I found out that it’s ‘hit and miss’ to weather my friends (or someone else has a red light or green light too.) I have also noticed it causes a lot of traffic problems at many places where people are arguing who’s right of way it is with annoyed drivers waiting behind. I have heard of the problem before last year but it sort of disappeared and has come back now. I haven’t seen any suggestions of fixes and maybe it’s not possible to fix but who else here agrees it’s a big problem? I’m not personal too bothered but I’m not sure whether to just go through but be cautious or just wait? What’s everyone else’s idea? Sorry if it sounds stupid but being a new member I thought I’d check with people that have experience. (I’m good at driving so do my best to avoid crashes)

    Most important traffic tipp!

Hello! I am a normal player of ETS2 and I think it´s really annoying if you drive on the roads but suddenly there´s a truck parking on the road and you smash into it! Not just your truck is damaged also the other one. Because of that I want to give you a tipp that you should follow, in order to prevent stuff like this: (They may seem obvious, but they are important.) If you want to go into the menu or want to take a break, do not just park on the road, better park a meter next to the road or on the standing stripe! It´s so important, please give it a try! Greetings, Gerrit!

    Conducting the traffic?

There's a lot of in-game discussion between players at the roadworks on the Oslo-Bergen road, in terms of if normal players are allowed to conduct the traffic as admins are. There's some players who thinks that they can conduct the traffic when there's no visible admin there to block the traffic. But personally, I don't think we are, since we have to follow the rules, which includes blocking. I mean, if the trucks you're blocking want's to get passed you, they can. They simply gonna overtake. Only if it's an admin, there's a 100% chance of they ain't getting away with overtaking the admin, but if it's a player, they simply overtakes. Since some people overtake, because it's a normal player, conducting the traffic, should we be allowed to conduct the traffic anyways, or is it banreason if you're blocking one lane, trying to hold back the players while the others overtakes? What do you think? Are we allowed or not? Should we be allowed or not?
  12. Suggestion Name: Duisburg traffic flow improved Suggestion: The Duisburg road should be a one-way as showed in the image, this should help traffic flow and not let anyone get in in case their in carrier mode yet this also keeps the large amount of traffic in the game. I think this is a major improvement and should be implemented into Europe 2. Note: Please check the image before commenting. I might have miss-wrote so do check the image to get a better understanding. Any example images: <img src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DCZV-V2XkAUnMt9.jpg"> Why should it be added?: I love traffic in TruckersMP but I am always scared of being rear ended, slammed into, brake checked, or hit when ever I am in my Carrier profile. But I figured out a way to improve the traffic flow in Duisburg and it keeps the large amount of traffic but without people intersecting with each other and without having to mod/change the base game! Q&A Q: What if I have traffic offences on? A: People who have traffic offences on should stay on the correct side of the road or they can turn traffic offences of in the game play settings Q: If I was about to turn into a drop off point but missed it what should I do? A: You will have to go around again, you wont have to exit and re-enter Duisburg. Q: How will I know witch way to go? A: In Duisburg there's a average of 50-100 vehicles, if every vehicle were going one way you can check witch way the traffic is flowing. Or a admin who is monitoring Duisburg can get a Scout vehicle and park in direction the one-way faces. Q: If there is a accident and one lane is blocked what should I do? A: You don't need to overtake. Just go into the other lane since it's a one-way!
  13. I would like to discuss the large scale and long-term effects of removing NCZ in all delivery/pick up points in all of TMP. The reason I would like to discuss this, is because it seems to me that a huge amount of players actually love experiencing massive traffic, traffic jams and the "chaos" it brings. My basis for this claim: Calais, Duisburg and CD-road. I drove through them this Sunday at their busiest to see what the fuzz is about, and luckily it was actually a fairly pleasant experience due to the effective admin work at the time. However, when I arrived in the cities, there were probably 20+ trucks inside every single depot, which made it near impossible to enter or exit without causing damage. Not to mention the fps drop this overload of trucks caused. It was down at 4-5 fps for me inside the city limits. I think this happens because people get away with being able to park their trailers without ANY limit to how many can park at any one time. This is why we get this absolute overload of trucks inside a crowded city. If there were limits to how many trucks and trailers you could fit inside a depot (hence collision zone activated), then you would also get much better fps as well, since there would be less overall amount of trucks in any city. Now, why would removing NCZ be ANY good you might wonder? There are a couple of things. Firstly, it will remove the gains from overtaking standstill traffic. You won't get to deliver faster by skipping the wait, it will only get you banned(eventually). On a larger scale, it will cause even more traffic jams, at even more cities. What this means, is that you no longer have to explicitly go to CD road to experience that amount of traffic. You will experience it at many more places around central europe because of the natural limits of depots and cities. And let's be real, nobody is going to sit in traffic for hours. Thereby people will start to go elsewhere, where there is less traffic, and start using the ETS2 Map, or this excellent page to gauge traffic and plan their routes. Think about it. Yes, it will definitely be a mess of epic proportions at first, but I think that it will even out over time and with more admins on duty. What are your thoughts? Think large scale and long-term effects, not just the immediate and obvious initial chaos such a change would bring.
  14. Places like Calais and Duisburg are always full of traffic and I think the reason is, when people see traffic they always do a u-turn and cause even more traffic...I don't see the logic behind it? But how does the traffic form in the first place...
  15. I was going to deliver a trailer from duisburg to calais, and it felt like 50% of the traffic was just skodas messing around and trucks with no cargo trolling other players. How to prevent this? //Axel

    Calais - Duisburg road

I wont be the first or last to say, the road between Calais and Duisburg is a complete cluster f*ck. There are certain times of the day where it is near impossible to pass safely. The main culprit is the small A1 junction, it is a magnet for trolls. Horn / Mic / Ramming / Blocking, you name it, its all there. Something needs to be done about this. From around 4PM - 7PM GMT is when traffic starts to build, everyone is trying to push in. I hardly ever see admins around the area when they're needed. The only admin I ever see is Burner, nevertheless this is later in the day. I think there should be an admin monitoring this area when its needed the most. At least make the presence of authority known by parking next to the main disaster area, this would more than likely cut some of the trolling. Anyone else with suggestions to battle this atrocity let yourself be known down below. Thanks,
  18. So it appears that not all players know,or just don't care about how they should drive in heavy traffic. Well I'll tell you how you should be driving. Drive-Defensively - Defensive driving covers a wide range of skills you should employ to prevent dangerous situations on the road before these occur. You should plan for ways you can react in a situation, like if another vehicle were to try and merge into you. In addition to this, you should also: Keep your eyes scanning traffic Identify vehicles that appear unsafe, such as those that are erratically merging across lanes, speeding dangerously, or drifting within a lane. Follow the flow of traffic. Signal before making a turn or merging into a lane. Allow plenty of space between you and other vehicles. You should gauge how many seconds of distance is between you and the next car ahead. Do this by picking a feature, like a road sign, and counting slowly up from “one” as the car in front passes the sign. When your car is even with the sign stop counting. The number you have stopped counting on represents how many seconds of distance is between you and the car in front of you. Adjust your speed accordingly. More time between you and the car in front will mean more reaction time in the event of sudden braking. Impatient drivers can make poor decisions that might require you to take action to prevent an accident. In some cases, you may have to merge out of your lane and onto a shoulder. Keep your eyes scanning traffic, the shoulder of the road, and potential places you might direct your truck/car in the event that you have to make emergency maneuvers. Impatient drivers in stop-and-go traffic will often accelerate faster than necessary to traverse the distance between them and the stopped truck/car in front of them. This is highly inefficient, as the unnecessary higher speeds will cost you more in fuel and not get you to your destination any sooner. Accelerate at a steady speed that is slightly below the flow of traffic. This way you can coast forward without having to come to a stop. This slow-but-steady method will also create a solid buffer between you and the truck/car in front of you. You should, however, be ready to downshift if impatient drivers merge into this buffer space. Road rage is a real and naturally occurring phenomenon that can lead to some people racing through traffic and overtaking in places where on coming traffic in coming toward them, and this causes more tailbacks. As one driver is slamming on their breaks, it will cause a ripple effect that eventually leads back in the line where the last truck/car in the cue is fully stopped, effectively causing a full on traffic jam. Just try to stay calm, wait patiently, and you will get to your destination. No amount of lateness on a delivery is worth being banned for long periods of time and will effectively ruining your reputation with the trucking community, especially if you are driving for a VTC! So, to put it simple... Keep your distance Expect inpatient drivers pushing past you Take your time Don't slam on your brakes too hard And most of all.. Stay Calm! Happy Trucking!

How to solve the Europort problem?

Hello Truckers, I just played the ETS2 multiplayer and had to recognize that it's really terrible around Rotterdam... A solution, which would reduce the chaos: Build a kind of tollstation infront of Europort and it's destinations in England. People who are allowed to drive through, because they have a job to do around there (Rotterdam -> Felixstowe) just pass it, but those who haven't got a job there (Berlin -> Hamburg) or even without a trailer can't pass it! Additionally I would recomend to check the reports and bans of the player. If he caused some problems a few times, the admins can tell the system this player isn't allowed to pass the gates! I think it'll lower the problems around Europort ; ) What do you think? Lotus3xiG3

    TruckersMP Live Map For ATS?

As we know on the TruckersMP website, there is a "Real Time Map" for Euro Truck Simulator 2 I have a couple of questions and suggestions. My question is; is there going to be a "Real Time Map" for American Truck Simulator, if so when do you predict it will be released? I think having a ATS real time map is useful because if there is traffic problems in the particular server you can avoid them by choosing a different route, this brings me to one of my suggestions. I think on the real time map (both ATS & ETS2) there should be colored lines on the roads to show traffic in the particular road/highway (ex. red = high yellow = usual green = a little bit) I realize this would take a lot of time to code in but I think it would be worth it in the end. Let me know your thoughts on this idea, good? bad? Thanks, Max, (know as maxreid432)
  21. So recently, Traffic at Oxnard in ATS came to an halt. MANY many players were stuck in a traffic jam using the small road, besides the 2 lane road right next to it. Admins handles well and kicked/put players into the right place. But my question is, dont traffic jams add realism to the game? I mean they even happen in real life. Often. I understand the argument that some players act ridiculous in jams, purposely blocking the way and crashing and such, but you can't avoid that in any aspect of the mod. Personally, i would let them be as they are, be stuck in a traffic jam for solid 10 minutes, even if you are in a hurry. Next step to realism!

    ATS US Semi Traffic Laws..

Hi there, Could please someone from the US (maybe a real driver), point me European where i can read about the CA and NV Semi Truck Traffic Laws? I'll looked around on google, did only find the laws for normal car traffic. Or maybe someone from the US (maybe a real driver), can explain the laws and roles? Thank you

    Only Red Lights

Hey support, i noticed (and I'm not the only one) that the trafficlights are red and they stay red. I waited 4 Minutes and it didn't turned green... This might need to be fixed. cheers
