  1. Hello fellow truckers, I've been noticing that the report system hasn't been serving justice as well as it used to be. This is probably due to the high traffic of the system, but even so a mod this massive with 8k+ concurrent players everyday they should have seen this coming sooner or later. I currently have 4 pending reports WITH VIDEO PROOF that are yet to be seen, as shown in the screenshot below. The mod feels somewhat unplayable with this amount of offensive behaviour from trolls / those who do not take the "simulation" aspect seriously within the community, and I'm afraid it'll only get worse and worse with time. My suggestion is to remake the entire reporting system, so it's easier for the staff team to view, check, and take decisions on reports from their players, that way it'll be a smoother experience not just for us, but for your staff team as well. There is almost no point in reporting anyone anymore and just accept the fact that this community is filled with trolls and expect that the staff will not provide any help whatsoever anymore.. Tell me what you think below as I will be following this case personally for this mod is very dear to me and have met friends that have been the best people ever. And I don't want this experience to be ruined.
  2. Whether it is for a montage video or reporting someone who is violating the rules, it can be very useful to be able to record your gameplay in TruckersMP. GUIDE WITH IMAGES In this guide, we will cover: how to use the XBOX recording suite how to change the quality and framerate of the recording how to change the location of the recordings Other useful tips to maximise the usefulness of the tool Requirements: Windows 10 operating system A reasonably powerful system It is important to note that recording gameplay will use additional system resources and therefore on weaker systems may cause noticeable slowdowns in TruckersMP. Most modern systems should be fine, however. XBOX GAME BAR The XBOX game bar (as it is called) can be brought up at any time throughout the Windows 10 operating system (unless you are playing protected content) by pressing the WINDOWS key and the G key simultaneously. A prompt may appear asking whether you want to identify that application as a game, if it does, accept it. The UI should look similar to how it does in the image below. There are some performance metrics, which can be useful to see what the bottleneck in your system is, along with some other features however we are interested in the panel called capture. Using the capture box is one way to start and stop recordings in the XBOX suite. If you press the button with the white circle, a recording will begin, the XBOX game bar will close and a timer will appear in the top right hand area of your screen showing how long you have been recording for. You can then press the stop button when you want to stop recording. Starting recordings with a keyboard shortcut Using the XBOX game bar to start and stop recordings is fine, however it may be difficult and dangerous to attempt to use it whilst driving a truck. Luckily you can easily start and stop a recording using a keyboard shortcut. This may be useful if you spot someone who is breaking the rules and wish to report them, but are not already recording. By default, the keyboard shortcut to start and end recordings is: WINDOWS KEY + ALT + R This keyboard shortcut can be changed using the steps I will show you later and it is even possible to map it to a macro pad or similar device, perhaps a button on a steering wheel. N.B. ALL VIDEOS USED IN TRUCKERSMP REPORTS MUST BE AT LEAST 5 SECONDS LONG OTHERWISE THE REPORT WILL BE INVALID AND DECLINED CHANGING THE QUALITY AND FRAMERATE OF THE RECORDINGS By default, the xbox game bar will record your content at the following settings: At the full resolution of your monitor At 30 frames per second At a “standard” quality (I have found this to be roughly 6.5mbps) These settings are fine for most people and will be sufficient for reports, however if you intend to make a video montage or use the captures for videography purposes I recommend you change these settings to record in 60fps and at a “high quality”. To change these settings, you press the WINDOWS KEY on your keyboard and type “game bar settings” using your keyboard, before pressing enter. Then press the captures button, as shown below. Scroll down to the “recorded video” section and select your desired frame rate and quality from the menus. How to change the location of the recordings By default the recordings will save to the following folder This PC \ Videos \ Captures. This may be fine for some people however often the C:\ drive where the Videos folder is will be smaller and you may wish to store your recordings on another drive, for instance an external hard drive. Go into the Videos folder where the “Captures” folder will be located and right click on the “Captures” folder before selecting “cut”. The “Captures” folder will now turn translucent, but do not panic, your recordings are safe. Now, navigate to your desired location for instance D:\Recordings\TruckersMP Right click again. Press “paste” and a window will pop up telling you the remaining time for the transfer. Once this is complete, the “Captures” folder will have been moved and all past and future recordings will now be in this new location. Using advanced features XBOX game bar also has some more advanced features such as background recording. These features can be useful, however they require lots of system power. Background recording will continually record your gameplay and when you press a certain key combination (by default WINDOWS KEY + ALT + G) it will save the last x minutes of gameplay. You can choose how long it will save in the settings. To enable background recording: open up the game bar settings as shown earlier and select the captures tab before click the slider underneath “background recording”. In the drop down menu, you can select how long you wish your retrospective recordings to be. I would recommend 3 minutes as this will account for longer incidents such as repeated ramming or blocking. Now when you are rammed unexpectedly or reverse a triple trailer successfully (some say it is possible), you can press the key combination and save the last x minutes of gameplay, so you can share it. Changing key combinations The default key mappings of the XBOX Game Bar are easy to remember and access, however you may wish to change them. To do this: - Open the game bar settings as show earlier - Click the game bar button on the side panel - Click the area below the function for which you wish to change the key mapping for. A flashing cursor will appear - Now press your desired key combination, for instance ALT + F - success ! This can be used in combination with software such as Joy2Key to convert buttons on gamepads and steering wheels to your chosen key combination, enabling you to keep your hands on the wheel.
  3. Personally I think its fairly annoying I think we shouldn't say rec. As it gives less purity I think if we are all silent the admins will be able to disclose and kick the person if they are recklessly driving as they may drive cautious for a bit if we say recording yet if we don't say anything they will most likely be quiet.

Hello everyone, I am thinking about starting to go to Calais-Duisburg road and recording the whole way and then post it to forum so the people who drive like idiots get banned. Do you think is it a good idea? Please respond. Greetings Jahmed
  5. Are you tired of recording videos of the game using some external software that takes up the valuable resources of your computer? Do you waste your time editing long videos to make reports? Here we have the solution. But what is this? Windows 10 includes a feature called Game DVR to record video within any verified game, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator fall into that category. This function is similar to the one used in NVIDIA Shadowplay and Replay Buffer in OBS but without heavy processes, making your game a little more fluid since Game DVR is included and optimized in the operating system. And how it works? Simple, you enter the game and when you want to record what just happened you press the key combination WIN+ALT+G, this will create a video file in a specific folder. For example: You are driving quietly and suddenly a Skoda car comes with NCZ hack-lag and sends you to fly to another universe, it seemed like a nice moment so you press the combination WIN+ALT+G and a video clip will be saved with what has just happened in the last 15, 30 or more seconds (depending on your configuration) before pressing the combination. I want it now! What I need? Windows 10 Creators Update (1703, Build 15063) or higher. You probably already meet this requirement. And now what do I do? Open "Settings": Select "Gaming": In the "Game bar" tab, verify that the following option is active: In the "Game DVR" tab, verify that the following option is active: Note: Do not forget to select the number of seconds that will be recorded before you press the key combination, we recommend 30s although 15s is also viable. (Optional) In the "Game DVR" tab you can choose if your video will have audio: OFF: The file size will be smaller. It is a good idea if you will only record reports of road incidents since the audio is not necessary for the evidence. ON: The file size will be a bit larger. It is a good idea to record evidence where audio is important, for example: Voice insults/spam via CB Radio. (Optional) In the "Game DVR" tab you can choose if the audio of your video will be only of the game or it will also include the sounds of the system: ON is an excellent option for those who play and listen to music with some application, for example Spotify, and who do not want their songs to be heard in the video. (Optional) In the "Game DVR" tab you can select the parameters of the video: You can choose the frames per second that will be recorded, with 30FPS is more than enough. You can also select the quality of the video, Standard is quite good. We already finished? Yes, you can now open the game and record your clips of what has just happened by pressing the WIN+ALT+G key combination (you can add another combination of keys in the Game bar tab). By default the videos are saved in This PC -> Videos -> Captures. Spanish version: Polish version: Czech version:
English version of this guide:
  7. Masz już dość nagrywania dowodów używając zewnętrznych programów, które zużywają dość duże zasoby Twojego komputera? Tracisz czas na edytowanie długości filmików do Reportów? Jest na to rozwiązanie. Ale co to jest? Windows 10 zawiera funkcję o nazwie "DVR z gry" do nagrywania wideo w ramach każdej zweryfikowanej gry. To proste. Wchodzisz do gry i kiedy chcesz nagrać coś co się właśnie stało, naciskasz kombinacje klawiszy WIN+ALT+G. Spowoduje to utworzenie pliku wideo w określonym folderze.
