  1. I played around with Jon Ruda´s Kenworth W900a modification.

Here is the result. What do you think?

Great photo and good looking truck 🥰❤️:HaulieLove:

  2. Your post made me aware that I didn't mention "save-editing". I added it to my initial post. So guys, this is a question about "save-editing"!
  3. Howdy fellow truckers, I'm interested in save-editing my truck in American Truck Simulator. In particular, I'd like to know how I can change the paint color of the truck frame of a Kenworth W900. Maybe one of you smart guys can help me understand how it's done? Many thanks in advance!
  4. I'm probably too old or too concerned about road safety to understand why one needs or wants to be distracted from the road by chatting (now also with emojis).
  5. WIth a weight of about 3 tons, the helicopter is a lightweight. Especially if compared to the 61 tons locomotive. (Source: https://truck-simulator.fandom.com/wiki/Euro_Truck_Simulator_2_Cargo_types)
  6. Howdy fellow truckers,

is it just me, or do European trucks 🇪🇺 feel like toys after driving American trucks 🇺🇸? 🤔

  7. In the end, you have to decide for yourself whether and how important chat announcements are. To my knowledge, you can't be punished for missing an "important" announcement due to an deavtivated chat, can you? Nevertheless, the reworked system is a disimprovement. PS: Turning off player names can reduce visual clutter on the screen, allowing players to focus more on the road and gameplay elements without constant distractions. Hiding player names can make the game world feel more realistic. Being able to deactivate chat while still seeing player names allows players to remain aware of other players' presence without being exposed to potentially negative interactions in the chat.
  8. Can't random road events be excluded from high populated areas, like the infamous area in and around Duisburg and Calais?
  9. Thanks for the follow, mate! Much appreciated! 👍

You are welcome, I believe there will be a lot of information I will learn by following experienced players like you. ^^

  10. And I like to add that "a good reason" is any condition, occurance or action that might call for braking. From slowing down to safely take a turn, adapting your speed to bad weather and visibility conditions, or an emergency stop. Do not let traffic following too closely delay the time at which braking is required.
  11. The fact that the TruckersMP team is aware of the solution to that problem but doesn't put it in action renders me speechless. Why haven't you already added "must own all DLCs" to the requirements of becoming a game moderator? How else is a game moderator supposed to fulfill his duties to the full potential, if he fails to provide all necessary tools for his work?
  12. Fair enough, and the high number of upvotes (suggestion: 14 upvotes, question: 26 upvotes) should be reason enough for the TruckersMP team to seriously re-consider their decision.
  13. Are you talking about tachometers or tachographs? I'd welcome the introduction of working tachographs in both simulators, as it would increase realism.
  14. Here are my favorite pictures taken in Euro Truck SImulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Enjoy! Euro Truck Simulator 2: American Truck Simulator:
  15. @OtherGuy, I heartly thank you for providing the results of your detailed research. The question remains on my mind: What (new) in-game events or features would encourage players to invite more friends to join American Truck Simulator in TruckersMP? I have following ideas: regular convoy events adding more diverse job types or special cargo deliveries having monthly or seasonal challenges where players compete for rewards based on factors like distance traveled, cargo delivered, or fuel efficiency enhance the customization options for trucks and trailers introduce dynamic events such as road closures, or extreme weather conditions that require players to work together to overcome challenges and earn rewards Just thinking aloud.
  16. Is an annual event similar to an American National Truck Driving Competition of interest for TruckersMP, in particular against the background of increasing the player numbers in American Truck Simulator? In contrast to other events held in the past in TruckersMP, the National Truck Driving Competition is an event where truck drivers demonstrate their skills in various challenges related to safe driving and maneuvering. It's an opportunity for drivers to showcase their expertise, compete against other drivers, and promote safety in the trucking industry. It's not about motosport categories like racing, drifting, or similar.
  17. @Aligatoor, What do you mean by a "stroboscope flashing light"? Are you referring to the emergency lights of the unmarked police car, like the one on the very right in the picture below?
  18. The picture would have been perfect if the truck had not been mirror-inverted.
  19. Unfortunate, that American Truck Simulator was n-egg-lected.
  20. In general, it is not your fault if another player rear-ends you. In most cases, a rear-end collision is caused by a lack of safety distance, distracted driving, or a combination of the above. As a rule of thumb, the safety distance should be at least half of the driving speed in meters. For example, if one drives at a speed of 100 km/h, the minimum safety distance should be 100 / 2 = 50 meters. Another way to keep your safety distance is the three-second rule. The three-second rule is a rule of thumb stating that you should keep a timely distance of three seconds to a preceding vehicle. In the field that means if a preceding vehicle passes e.g. a traffic sign, a tree or any other fix marker you should pass that spot three seconds later. So when the preceding vehicle passes the spot, just slowly start to count 1,000...2,000...3,000. If you arrive earlier than three seconds, increase your safety distance.
  21. Isn't it the tragic fate of a trucker to understand the limits of himself and his truck far from home?
  22. I really enjoy the angle and depth of field in this shot. Well done!
  23. The revival of nature is a true miracle.
  24. On the rare occasion that I have a soft drink, I choose a classic Coca-Cola.
