Unlike ProMods on Euro Truck Simulator 2, with ProMods Canada on American Truck Simulator, you're able to play on any of the servers. I'd recommend you checkout this Knowledge Base article on how to install ProMods Canada for TruckersMP: https://truckersmp.com/kb/1122 Please ensure you have downloaded all the required files, you have not edited the names of the files and they're installed in the correct location. If you continue to have issues, I'd recommend you share a screenshot of your mods folder, so we can see if everything is set up correctly.

It seems as though you and the other user were both inside each other when you both left the company. This resulted in you both being in ghost mode. I believe on the other users game, you both separated so you were no longer in ghost mode for that user. But your game still thought you were inside of each other, so the other user was still in ghost mode for you. Which is why when you drove through the user it caused them to flip. Short answer: They was in ghost mode for you, but you wasn't in ghost mode for them.

When you damage on your truck, it will most likely damage your gearbox as well. Which will result is less gears. When using the /fix command it will fix this.
