  1. No more reloads, no more getting kicked for unreliable connection, while loading in a job. This job dispatcher is so good. Really great job!
  2. I am glad the 150km/h speedlimit has been dropped to 110km/h. And that you only can go Arcade if you want to speed. If the servers were as busy as a few months ago, with 150km/h speedlimit, on the normal servers. I think admins would go nuts about the additional amount of idiots, who think driving 150km/h on the C-D road is fine >< But I think if the servers were still on 150km/h, I think TMP never had over 10,000 logged in users at one time. Because a lot of people would've quit because of the chaos.
  3. Depending on the mood I am in. Mostly I listen to discover trance radio If they have bad music, I listen to rock music from the 70's to 90's (own playlist). If I am upset or overwhelmed, I listen to heavy death metal. (It is so much fun on arcade racing with the truck with 1t of cargo and having heavy death metal on XD).
  4. I bought the game in July 2016, after seeing several Twitch streamers driving in traffic. Also downloaded TMP in the same month to try it out. Did not play it constantly, left it on the shelf for a few years. About a year ago I came back. And also joined a VTC, and it is much more fun to drive for a VTC. Also promods is a lot of fun.
  5. I mostly transported medical vaccines, because it is light and makes a lot of money. But now I am trying to discover all cities in ProMods. So I made a list with all the cities I need to visit, put them in alphabetic order. And drive from one location to another. Mostly taking random cargo, whatever Trucky suggested, and also keeping in mind, what kind of company I went from and go to. Sometimes I also like to drive 2 lane mountain roads, then I mostly take a low loader with a dozer, because it takes skill to not get stuck XD
  6. Not really. But my max speed is 97km/h due to trucksbook. But mostly I drive with the speedlimiter on, because that is easier when accelerating. I'm not slowing down for every little village, that has nobody driving through it. I keep a good look at the mini map, if there are players around. And I mostly drive in promods.
  7. Would either buy or build a 1 floor house with at least 4 bedrooms and a garage. Climate control and also completely eco friendly. Buy a new motorcycle and a electric car. But also a old car or motorcycle to fix as a hobby. After I build a extreme gaming rig, I would donate my current gaming pc to a friend of mine. Maybe going on a vacation flying 1st class.
  8. 6 speed for the 4x2 trucks. 12 speed for the 6x4 trucks. And 12+2 speed for the 8x4 trucks. I use full automatic, because my Xbox controller has all its buttons assigned >< Currently I'm visiting all the cities by alphabetic order in promods. So then I mostly drive a 6x4, so I can take any load I like. But during convoys, I mostly use a 4x2 truck. The reaction time of a 6 speed is instant, while with a 12 speed it takes a sec to shift.
  9. Programmed traffic would be fun on multiplayer, but I really hope they make 1 sim server with programmed traffic and one without. I hate the programmed traffic. The reason I don't say AI traffic, is because AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. Intelligence means you can learn from mistakes and make adjustments. The traffic is very dumb and also doesn't learn. I played with traffic a bit on ATS, but I ended up ramming them off the road, if they were in my way. Those American trucks don't have a big bull bar for nothing XD
  10. Max Verstappen - Red Bull After what Mercedes has done, to slow down the pits-stops. I really hope Max Verstappen and Red Bull will win this season. But I do hope there is more of a fight on the top, Hamilton and Verstappen should be at each others throat on the racetrack. Not like the last 2 races, where Verstappen is comfortably driving on top (or the same with Mercedes last couple of seasons).
  11. Probably been suggested 100s of times: Random detours would be fun. The server picks a road that it is going to close off, for 4hrs in-game time. As soon as the road doesn't have anyone within 1km distance, the detour gets activated. Then the other players will need to start to detour. The detour is generated by closing off the lanes near a intersection, so a player is being redirected towards a other road. For example the road to Denmark between Hamburg and Odense. Players would be forced to take the ferry, between Rostock and Gedser. But if there is only 1 road towards a certain destination, like towards Istanbul. Then a detour cannot be placed. Disadvantage: there could be some players, thinking it is ok to turn around on the motorway when they get the chance. But most of them will learn if it goes wrong, to never do that again.
  12. Don't give me that. I already said they are volunteers and I know they are busy. But the issue is for months now, and we didn't receive any update about it. They could at least share with us where they are bumping into. Maybe they need new equipment, but due to the chip shortage they don't get the equipment. Maybe they have problem buying new equipment, because of a financial issue (solution crowdfund). Maybe they don't communicate with us, because they think everything must be perfect and communicating about issues, is demeaning. Hello were not in China or Russia. People know that nothing is perfect and problems arise. (At least 85% of the players). Maybe their hosting provider doesn't want to solve the issue. Even though it is in their equipment. (Communicate then, the issue is with a 3rd party and we wait for them to solve the issue). Doesn't take hours to make a single post.
  13. So this morning around 05.45 I couldn't sleep and decided to do some TMP trucking. After 3 minutes of loading on ProMods and then another 3 minutes of loading for the job, I finally set off. (some navigation update error in promods). At 06:00, the server closed the connection. And my client wanted to reconnect, but it couldn't. Was this due to maintenance? I don't know, because it didn't say in chat why the server closed the connection. Or was it just to have everyone mandatory accept the new rules? Because that popped up when I logged in again. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/532894061783416833/848407077055758336/20210530054335_1.jpg Even though TMP staff is all volunteers, is too much to ask for some better communication from the admins? Like the issue of the servers lagging like crazy, from time to time. (like last Friday night). This issue is going on for months. Other than that it is known, there has been no further communication about it. Would be nice if we could get some details, and maybe some information about the troubleshooting of this issue. Is it the fault of the TMP servers, being overrun? Is it the fault of TMP ISP, or the Host provider? Is it a switch or router, that has a buffer overflow what is causing the lag spikes? Maybe not that specific, but give the community something about this major issue, before people get fed up with it stop their patreon and/or go over to SCS Convoys. And maybe it is a idea, if a server restart is planned, or needs to happen. To give the admin a selection: - Restart due to scheduled maintenance (Giving server announcement in chat, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 minute before the restart and on the restart itself). - Restart due to unscheduled maintenance (Giving a restart reason notification). - Restart due: *Fill in reason* (Giving a restart reason notification). Most MMO's do this. People need to know when the server gets restarted, so they can find a place to safely park their convoy. And also for people who can't handle sudden changes well, so they know ow this is going to happen. Instead of **** I got disconnected! (And I think I've seen those announcements few years ago before a restart). If the server admins are not willing or able to communicate with the community, about ongoing issues. Maybe let a communication manager, ask for weekly or bi-weekly updates on ongoing issues, or planned maintenance. And have the communication manager communicate this with the community. Little more work, but if you communicate better, people are more patience. (I learned that as a phone service employee). As then people know that issues are being updated. And then people don't start a page long suggestion/discussions on the forums, about the lack of communication.
