I'm kicking myself for not trying Promite all these years! I've only been to two cities so far, being London and Dover but I am 100% sold already. i'm so glad TMP supports this now! 

Imagine if, before humans the planet was inhabited by robots and androids, some of them were experimenting with creating 'life' out of biological matter. So, I found out the hard way that its not a good idea to drive tired.
At least I had my caring friends to make sure I was ok and not make fun of me via an old ad campaign.

You know, they always say you should be careful when it comes to fake news, but I think this is the one exception xD

An important PSA regarding overtaking and desync:

So recently I've seen a couple of people banned for ramming trucks off the road when overtaking (moving over before they're clear). These people have said that on their screens they thought they were clear. Since I have witness this happen first hand, when a friend will overtake, ram me but claim they were clear I decided to run a little test.

In an obscure part of the map far away from any players, two of my friends and I set up to try and capture what we  suspected was happening. I would be the test dummy truck, driving at a normal speed when someone (my friend) would overtake me. I instructed him to "move over when it looked clear on his screen" (we decided that given most overtakes that happen in crowded areas of TMP don't ensure a safe distance before re-joining the lane) we wanted to try and get an accurate representation of someone overtaking a truck. We commenced the test and just as we expected, even though it was clear on my friends screen to re-join the lane, in actual fact, on my screen it was not and I got rammed off the road.

Why did we do this?

Im sure most of you out there are well aware of such an occurrence and I'm sure that you take appropriate precautions and overtake using the popular overtaking guide (provided below) infact its mentioned in that very guide to watch out for desync. This is more aimed at less regular players, or maybe new players to online trucking who are unaware about such desync issues. Hopefully if this is you, you can avoid such a wreck and possible a ban; which would otherwise be likely to happen.

that although this test was conducted in a public server, we took many precautions to ensure it was conducted in as safe a manor as possible.
The test was performed at off peak times, in a remote corner of the map with a third friend 'spotting' using the tab list to inform us of any trucks in the area.

When you're on the CD road but you're trying to remain calm.

I was wondering if any tech savvy forum users could help explain my recent... anomaly? idk.

So long story short my headphones broke. I found an old cheap pair from about 2014 sitting in my drawer completely un opened!
and apart from the fact that they're cheap as h**l, they have a weird sound to them. Pretty much they don't play back any voice sounds. Let me explain.
Say I'm watching a video of someone playing a game, I'll hear all the sounds of the game just fine, but can not hear the people at all.
Or if I'm listening to music, I can hear the music just fine but can not hear the vocals at all! This happens on every video I watch regardless of what it is. Its pretty cool actually since occasionally there will be a song/video that I can just hear the vocals in, but they're played back in such a way that it sounds like they're being played inside a house really loud and I'm outside hearing a muffled version of it.

These are obviously not a long term fix for having a proper set of headphones but I don't thi I'll ever get rid of them just because of the incredible experience you get pretty much hearing any song without its vocals.

So does anyone have the slightest clue as to whats causing this?

So I just found out about the scout car physics bug the hard way...
 I was exiting the London service when my car shot forward almost resulting in a crash. I decided to test it out and, well I'll let the video show.

The first test I lost all control and shot into a barrier, the next one was more dangerous. I shot forward at such speeds I flew into oncoming lanes and lost traction as I regained control. This was a scare thing to happen and I'd like to warn all car drivers about this. I should also mention that during these tests I was not pressing the accelerator hard at all, maybe only a 3rd of the way if that. I'm not making a forum post about this since I see its been done already. all we can do now is be very careful.

So a few friends and I decided to play around with the bridge near Astoria in Oregon, I was trying for about 10 minutes to get past the barriers when the bridge was up, and when it finally worked it wasn't what I was expecting...

Anyone remember the Arizona race track? The place that used to be full with racers back in the day?
Well my friend and We thought we would have a fun little race in our trucks, best of 3 laps. It was the last lap when my friend in the black truck crashed out side the course, and it was a frantic battle to the end pushing and ramming each other back and forth to try and win.

I think my friends voice just perfectly summaries the chaos of it all!

Its kind of sad that its completely empty now, no one goes there much anymore

I don't think I've ever fallen in love with a state from SCS more than I have with Oregon. Just sitting back, watching the scenery go by, listening to a good song, is one f the memories of this game I will never forget

I don't care if it takes us a year per state. if this is the quality SCS is giving us I'll happily wait.

Thought I should try to explore all of NM before Oregano comes out for ATS.
I forgot how scenic some parts are, but my trip was not without some surprises...

Here we see some almost flattened humans. This is the first time I've ever seen people just standing in the road so it gave me a shock

Then not far down the road, I was just going to run the light since there was no one on my tab or anyone on the map.

that was until out of the corner of my eye I spotted @Mike Dragon in a cop car and slammed on my brakes harder than I have ever done!

My bad luck with curbs strikes again

I just love how physics just pretty much says NOPE whenever you come close to brushing a curb. luckily no one was around.

I decided to give it a go and quickly realised you cant see the road, lanes or anything. So I pulled over only to be rear ended.

I think we were both at fault for what happened but we're cool about it. in fact I made a new friend out of it!

you see he was rammed yesterday but he cant find the pinfo of the person that rammed him. Are there any admins out there that can help us find the rammer?

I really am not having good luck with the new trailers.
After my failure of a maiden voyage in ETS I decided to buy a trailer in ATS.

Well mistake #1. driving tired. I don't know why I did this. im stupid ok.

Mistake #2 listening to soft relaxing music, only adding to mistake 1.

well wouldn't you know it I fell asleep. I don't remember closing my eyes but I do remember the loud buzz and vibration shaking my controller of the rumble strip that actually saved me from crashing!

If it wasn't for that small virtual strip this second maiden voyage would of turned out very differently.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. Never speed to get anywhere faster.

I realised while on this journey that I was going to be late so I decided to increase my speed from 80 to 110 kp/h.

it went well for a while but kinda lost it on a turn, totalled the truck and the brand new trailer. :'(

I hate mornings.

just managed to escape my shower after being trapped inside for an hour.

the sliding door just wouldnt move at all!

One minor panic attack later I took the second pane of glass from the sliding door off its tracks just enough for me to squeeze out.

now the door is broken but I did miss my classes for today because of it so its not all bad!
