Are you taking the ferry? If so you need to just be patient and let the game continue loading. This is common issue and its your economy loading. If you have a lot of garages and drivers it will take longer. Just let it load, if you click or hit any buttons it will crash your game. Just be patient and let the game load, could be a couple minutes. Hope This helps.

Pilot cars are normally used to be in the front or back of convoys. They let cars on the road approaching know that there is a convoy or an oversize load ahead. In game most people drive it because they can, but should be used only for convoys.

This is a common issue. You need to just wait, its your game catching up and loading everything. If you have a lot of drivers and garages it will cause it to load slower. Just let it be and it will load.
Also if you click during that load time, it will freeze your game.
