You say it would be easier to overtake if the limit was 80, but you're forgetting that people drive on the server speed limit anyway so you will be in the same situation. Then you need to think that the truck limit in California is 55 so those of us that do drive around that speed will get rear ended when you speed junkies are having an 80mph overtake battle. You approach someone doing 55 fast enough at 68 so there's no need for this change, just work on your patience levels.

^ IMO your  point is mostly correct but you may be forgetting that diff' weight loads will have of course, heavier drag on the given truck engine, and in certain places (climbs on I-80 going east out of Cali' for example), the trucks with lighter loads, and occasionally bigger engines, will be able to use the 80 mph limit to effectively (and arguably safer because of less side by side time) overtake the slower trucks.

  2. hit 'tab' key

right click mouse button to get curser

    select offending player

    click 'report player'

choose categories of behavior (ramming, griefing, blocking, etc)

That is the in-game system way of reporting.

The forum method has a high standard of proof which seems quite clear to protect someone from being falsely accused with it's heaps of necessary evidence (video, logs, etc). But it is tedious, and although well intended, is (IMHO of course) an absurd amount of work to do relative to the rate and amount of times a player may feel the situation justifies trying to report someone.

  3. Hello truckers!

The current TruckersMP version is 0.2.0.7.1 You can download it from http://truckersmp.com/en_US/download

This version supports Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.22.2.7s http://prntscr.com/a1tjnq and American Truck Simulator version 1.1.1.1s http://prntscr.com/a3o75o

Game version supported for both games: x64 only.

In order to play TruckersMP you must install the latest version of the TruckersMP mod and be sure you have selected:

NONE - Opt out of all beta programs in STEAM > Library >  Euro Truck Simulator 2 > Right Click > Properties > BETAS for Euro Truck Simulator 2

    or

NONE - Opt out of all beta programs in STEAM > Library >  American Truck Simulator Right Click > Properties > BETAS for American Truck Simulator

If you had a different version before, please let the game update on Steam before trying to start the game using the TruckersMP shortcut.

I followed this precisely and still cannot get ATS MP to launch. Always returns error.

  4. ^^ I agree with you on that, but that's how SCS made the cities boundaries, don't know if there's a way for the MP developers to change that.

And back to the speed limits on roads, let´s say they set some kind of "state limit". I would see it ok if they raise Nevada's limit to 129 Km/h. But then, to keep it real, they should also lower Cali's limit to 89 Km/h. Would you agree with that?

Those 'boundaries' need to be tweaked to simply not include, at a minimum, the most egregious areas -the Interstate Highways (I-5, I-80, etc), even if it means for very short distances underpasses and overpasses (intersections with Interstates) at those places would be effected. Very brief areas of faster speed limits just at those intersections would not really allow players enough distance to get to reckless speeds, while on the positive side -it would restore the realism of the 'Simulation' of driving on 'American' highways (Interstates) as a 'Truck', when on the USA Interstate highway system.

  5. I think this has been reported before, most likely. But I think they select an area and it speed limits it, regardless of whether the road above is a motorway but the underneath isn't which is why I think this issue is happening. Therefore there's nothing really we can do unless they somehow can separate the barriers by height not to include the road above (motorway/highway)?

They just need to exclude the terrain that has Interstate Highway, even if that means very short stretches of under or overpasses would also be effected.

  6. I don't believe it is a bug. It appears more to be a decision made for probably legitimate reasons (coding issues, or system issues or whatever), or maybe was just a honest design mistake.

A bug is more like when something is not working at all as intended. I believe the city AoE speed limit effect is working as intended but needs a suggestion (this forum's purpose) from players to the developers to consider a modification or improvement to how it works.

  7. I have to go to my alternate browser (Chrome) to even be here at this page.

I have Internet Explorer 11, fully updated, on a very healthy, well maintained and defended system (Norton 360).

When using IE 11 when I browse to (load) TruckersMP.com the load circle spins constantly and never resolves. It doesn't finish the load for some reason and you can never get a response from the 'login' button.

However Chrome, for some reason doesn't stall out on your page.

    IE version: 11.0.9600.18204

    Update version: 11.0.28

  8. Problem:

City zone (Area Of Effect) speed limits slow down excessively, and unrealistically the speed limits of players on Interstate limited access Highways (high speed expressways), that just happen to pass through city limits. It is very annoying, causes congestion and accidents (players merging cannot build up speed beyond the city speed cap)

    Suggestion solution:

Change/modify/tweak the definition territory of the city limits speed limit to not effect the Interstate Highways (example I-5, I-10, I-80, etc.). It would only be reasonable and realistic to slow down to 55 mph (usually -not the 40 KPH or whatever it is). Occasionally even 60 or 65 mph is still the legal speed limit even when a Interstate highway is close proximity to, or within a city.
