When I open the multiplayer launcher and click "launch ats" it launches ATS and when I eventually get into game I'm in the singleplayer, I tried downloading the launcher again but I have the same problem. Steam asks me about setting a launch parameter which I accept and running the launcher from launcher.exe tells me the launcher is out of date even though it's not.

Only 25 people, they are just people who have been playing since before the update, or stopped the update from downloading.

ATS had a small update, it broke multiplayer. It doesn't matter what beta you use, it won't work until they update the MP client.

There's a multiplayer bug (happened in ETS2 as well, but I had my own truck) where if you don't rest for a long time (such as logging in after a few real life days) the jobs list is empty. If you don't own a truck, you need a quick job to rest, but the quick jobs list is empty because you haven't rested, therefore you can't rest to reset the job list and you're stuck with no truck and no jobs. The console doesn't work in multiplayer so I can't use that to rest.
