^Hi there,  be sure that you have played a full 2 hours in single player before attempt to access multiplayer and also your steam profile should be set to public so the system can validate your single player game time. Uf you encounter anymore issues after this then write a support ticket here.

Hi @freckleman can you try this for me. It's a common fix for the "too high ping issue. It just be an error on the server side but just to be sure try this 
 
1. Do a dns flush, How To 
2. Clear your PC's temp files with Clean Master for PC How To 
3. Open up your Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del on keyboard and see if there are some updating services running in the background processes , Example: Adobe IPC Broker service,or any form of updater service which updates softwares you use in the background. If you dont know if there are any running provide a screenshot and i will guide you furthur on.) 
4. Do a Disk Cleanup of C: drive How To 
P.S The top right corner where it says Windows 8.1/Windows RT 8.1 , Click drop down arrow and select your version of windows 7/8/10) 
5. Disable any unwanted programs you dont want running and hogging internet. How To

Hello everyone,  as you all may know that when playing ETSMP, some players are experiencing lengthy freezes while others are simply crashing. I myself never really played ETSMP for that reason.  After recently joining the support team and helping countless other players on this very issue and solving them,  I thought to share the steps on how to possibly fix this. 
 
Please note that this is no guaranteed fix but has a high success rate. 
 
If your Game is freezing for a long period it is because the mod Is attempting to its game time with the core game time. (SP & MP times are quite different)! Go in company manager (this may be a pain) and fire all of your drivers first.  Save your progress then completely close the game Go into your Euro Truck Simulator 2 documents folders and select/highlight the your last profile (look at last modified) then with it highlighted hit the delete button.  (Again I know it could be a pain) Launch ets2mp and once at the profile section create a new profile. 
 
please note: the reason for this process is because if your game never catches up or just crashes,  it is more then likely that your profile somehow has gotten corrupt hense will not recover unless it's completely removed.

Firstly you have to be stopped so you won't hit anything or another player (if you use the first to options). Secondly, there are 3 ways to chat now.  You can press y to bring up the chat dialog then type your message then press enter.  It is recommended that you are at a stand still unless you type really fast because pulling up the chat (pressing y) disables the trucks controls.  You can PM the user you want to reply to by pressing y to pull up the chat box then typing /pm the players id ex. (After pressing y, press /pm 187 (player id) then enter). You can also reply to a play that pm'd you by pressing y to pull up the chat box then /r + your reply then enter (to reply to that pm) or you can simply press V to use the CB radio which is the most efficient.
