  1. The easiest way to "flush" the economy in MP when you cannot sleep is performing a action that makes the time pass. Simply teleport to one of your garages (as long as you are away from it). In some cases, if you are far from a repair shop, F7+Enter also works (though it will cost you some money). In ETS2 this can also be done by simply taking a ferry. Do this and your client will sync up with the server and your economy will have new jobs available.

  2. It has been fun. :) And for a change, no one rammed me, this time! What a miracle! I didn't come across any accidents, either, though I heard there have been a few. I just wish those folks in the purple trucks (you know who you are) would learn a thing called "respect". Every single one of them seemed blind to my presence on the road. I had to slam my brakes several times as each and every single one of them cut me off at the start of the convoy. As if the low FPS wasn't bad enough.

You promised you'd be on time last time ;P

I promised and I shall keep the promise! Look, I'm awake already! :D And I got there early for the last ATS convoy as well! Unless something comes up, I shall be there in time today. :)

  4. Rules regarding Death Road have already been made/updated, mate. Not to be rude but... Do some research before posting, next time!

    Quote

    Inappropriate Overtaking - UPDATED
Overtaking in an area of extremely low FPS, in areas with large amounts of traffic such as in Europoort, overtaking resulting in an accident or anything similar. This also includes overtaking on any 1 lane in each direction road where there is excessive traffic.

    Inappropriate Parking - UPDATED
Parking or stopping in areas of high population for no reason such as Rotterdam Port or anything similar, using the designated car parks is fine (This is fine when there is low traffic in the area). Parking or stopping is always forbidden in No Parking Zones (pictures in second post). This now includes the Calais to Duisburg road during excessive traffic.

Useless traffic in excessively high population areas - UPDATED

Useless traffic in excessively high population areas such as Europoort, Rotterdam or the Calais to Duisburg road. Driving without reason to and from or anything similar. If you are in the area of Europort, you are expected to use the port or you are running the risk of punishment.

The reason there seem to be less than 50 is because of the draw distance. Only trucks within a radius of 500 or 600 meters from the player will be rendered on their screen. An area may have 2500 trucks (holy crap, good luck to even the most powerful gaming PC on handling that!) but only those within the radius of the player will be visible on their screen.

    LV? Don't you mean LA?

And no, I don't think that's actually that long. Gotta remember that ATS's map scale is a bit smaller than ETS2's so the distance is actually shorter than it may seem. If you did meant LA, then I would have to disagree. Not only it would make the trip much shorter but it would also leave Nevada out of the route entirely. The route proposed has a good course and covers all three currently available states.

There are more important things then this to do but this could be a good thing but the one problem I see with it is what if someone is taking a rest/sleep at a rest stop or has engine failure etc Having an auto kick when you've no lights on past 8pm could be a problem in those situations

I'd say the time is the least of the problems. 6, 7, 8, whatever. The point is driving without the lights on in the dark.

  8. Although there might be higher priorities, obviously, I actually support this idea. I've lost count of how many times I've come across people without lights on at night. It's an actual hazard! More than once I almost had accidents because I couldn't see them. The headlights of any vehicles are not there simply to let the driver see his/her way, but also to let other drivers see them. When you are cruising in the dark it is very easy to not notice a nearby vehicle if it has no lights on.

By default, ETS2 and ATS gives the player a ticket if they drive for a certain distance without the headlights on past 7PM and before 7AM. I don't understand about programming but it can't be difficult to hook up a script to that function of the game so when the game detects the player is moving without the lights on for a while, the ticket triggers the script which then kicks them out of the server. Simple as that.

    +1.

I don't know if someone already addressed this so if they did, ignore me. If not, then read on...

I think you misunderstood, David. It's not about simply having no lights on, but driving with no lights on. So the auto-kick idea is exclusively for those who are driving around without their headlights turned on. And that's a thing that the game itself already sort of addresses by itself by giving a infraction ticket for driving for a certain distance without lights on.

Uugh... I should be in that video. I was just a few trucks away when Scarecrow came in on the sidewalk but my game crashed before I could turn into the port. T_T Nice video, though!

    @ledgeri

1:28:33 There I am! :D Though I am missing my paintjob on your screen. :( You totally should get yourself the Halloween Paintjobs DLC! ;)

  10. It was fun! I just wish I had not overslept and got about 15 minutes late and missed the start of the convoy. I had to speed to catch up with it and because of it I hit my truck and trailer on the railguard around a corner. :\ And at the end of the convoy, when I was about to enter the port, my game crashed. ;-; But I teleported myself to a safe spot on singleplayer and then rejoined the server to finish the journey. It was fun following the routes set by the police cars (admins). And although I got late, I didn't travel alone to catch up. @freckleman was also late so we traveled together to find the convoy. lol

I might join these official convoys again in the future. It's been a fun experience.

P.S: RIP TheKnightRider. (I don't know why I uploaded and posted this.)

  11. Can we pick a trailer on a nearby city and just drive to the quarry if there isn't any departing from Salzburg to Rostock? Also, do we have to arrive at the port with the trailer or can we deliver it in the city first and arrive empty at the port?

  12. I've never joined convoys before. I'm a loner, usually. Though if the time allows me (I'll have to figure out the time zones stuff later), I might give this one a go. Supposing my internet won't go to sh*t and that my GTX 650 will manage to handle all those trucks on-screen with Action! recording. :\

EDIT: Alright, I figured out the times! It should be 1 PM for me. Hopefully I should be free at that time. :)

  13. They have already made a couple rules for the track. Mostly changes to one or two already existing rules, to be exact. Though really... it doesn't need any more than that since all the other previously existing rules already cover pretty much everything we currently have/need. I suggest you check the updated rules to find it.

Racing - Kick / Ban UPDATED
Having races or anything similar. This excludes races occurring on the Arizona Race Track.

Or perhaps be more specific on what rule should be added.

As for intentional ramming, blocking, griefing, etc., these are still covered by the universal rules and they do apply to the track. All rules apply to the racetrack. The one and only exception, as I already quoted above, is racing.

  14. Did you install any police lights or paintjobs? If so, then that's why. Players are not allowed to use police accessories on their cars. if you do, the mod will automatically kick you. Only IGAs are allowed to use those.
