So, about that performance test video I plan on making. I've already selected a few trucks, all with similar specs of my choice and right now I was planning the tests. The following are what I came up with:
- Acceleration time (0 to 100 KM/h in ?? seconds);
- Top speed;
- 90° cornering at 50KM/h;
- 90° cornering at 80KM/h;
- 90° cornering at 100KM/h;
Am I missing anything?

I am only using default settings, @LordBenji.
Nobody knows what the route will be, @stilldre1976. Elite will only announce the starting point and finishing point close to the day of the race and then the racers will have to decide their own route.
I included braking time, @PrototypeGR. Thanks!

Hey, little question to all of you who play Gmod: Do you know the addon Animation Editor or whatever happened to it? I used to have but I can't find it anywhere, now. It's no longer in my game, I don't recall uninstalling it and I can't find it on the Workshop. Didn't find information about it on Google, either. Only tutorials on how to use it, which obviously are not what I am looking for at the moment and in fact, are completely useless if I don't have the tool. :\ I kinda need/want that thing, now that I decided to explore PAC's functions a little further.

And another awesome Real Operations event has come to a close. Been in group 1 once more and this time, I crashed my Scania. I said I would, and I did!
And by the end, nothing better than a photoshoot with most of the staff. :3 (not gonna tag all because that would be a lot of tags and I actually don't remember all the names.)

Bored waiting for a client to call back so I decided to boot up my Windows 2000 Virtual Machine to toy around but then the urge to recreate the Windows logo that is shown in the boot screen came up and a few minutes of Photoshop later, here's the result:
I love Windows 2000, more than XP, actually. I wish I had made use of it back in the day instead of 98. Though I had the chance, if I recall correctly, I never bothered with installing it due to compatibility with my games so for that reason I kept Windows 98 until I migrated to XP.
For reference, this is what 2000's boot screen looks like:
It's the nicest boot screen of all Windows versions to date, in my opinion! On par with Windows 7's. Gotta love that pulsating Windows logo 7 has. It's like the system has a heart and it's pumping. <3

I just saw a thread here on the forums in which someone reports a "bug" on a street in France with a screenshot of it. I don't think they have even seen a speed bump in their life, before, 'cause all the screenshot had was a French speed bump. lol

I've seen speedbumps lie the ones in France they added them to the drive of the school I went to before college, a few years ago cause cars kept speeding in and out of the drive, even teachers Often see teachers booting it out down the driveway in the evening the speedbumps cause problems tho cause some cars scrapped on them so some people drove down the footpath to avoid them that was fun to watch while waiting to get collected

Which one do you think looks the best?

SCS missed a pretty good opportunity to do on France what they did on Arizona, in ATS: Hide a race track. Tucson has one. The France DLC would be the perfect excuse to hide a track near Le Mans. 'Cause you know... the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. I don't mind not having a track in ETS2 and don't really care. I'm just saying they missed the opportunity to do for ETS2 what they did for ATS.
-
Monday is here. Let's try to start the week on the right track.

Ah! Finally! This is what I was trying to do when Gmod decided to crash twice, earlier. It's finally finished, now.

Loving this game!
I can't win a single match against even the AI (I'm just bad at fighting games. Not afraid to admit it lol) but I am having fun!
-
Right now I'm gonna do something I haven't done in a really long time. I'm gonna go for a leisure drive on ETS2's EU2 server with my car.

What a terrible Sunday, this has been...
Since Friday night my internet has been very slow, on Saturday it was slow, unstable and dropping constantly and this issue carried on into Sunday, so I tried to call my ISP, only to find out that the phone line is dead. So I had to call them from my cellphone and they should send someone up until Tuesday. Freaking Tuesday! The result? I could not participate in today's public convoy. First time something out of the ordinary is done for one of these events and I was unable to be there. Crap! But you know what? That was not that bad. Why? Because even worse stuff happened!
On Friday I picked up a client's computer to be formatted with backup. The plan was to start working on it on that same afternoon so then I could finish it on Saturday morning and be free for the weekend then just deliver it back on Monday, but then I found out my car had a leak in the master cylinder of the brake system, which heavily decreased the car's braking capability so I needed to get that sorted out immediately. I spent the afternoon at the mechanic to get it fixed so when I came back home in the evening, I went to work on that PC instead of resting.
But it's fine, I carried my work as usual. Booted into a Live Windows with Hiren's Boot USB, copied all the files the client pointed me he needed plus his emails to my external hard drive, double checked the backup to ensure everything was fine and then, already past midnight, I shut down the computer. The backup was pretty big, with over 500 GB of data, total, so it took a very big chunk of the evening on Friday. On Saturday I worked on formatting the PC and getting a fresh copy of Windows 10 Pro installed. To save time on Saturday, after Windows and drivers were done installing, I plugged the external hard drive back into the PC and set the files to copy back to it over night so in the next morning, everything should be ready for me to just put the files back in their original directories and install the needed programs. But was it ready this morning as I expected, though?
No, it wasn't.
When I woke up, I checked the client's computer, hoping to see the transfer had completed but instead I found a halted transfer. The reason? A file it was attempting to copy could not be found at the origin. It was the email backup so I went inside the folder where it was saved in the external drive and in fact, it wasn't there. It was nowhere to be found. It simply vanished. I commanded the program to skip that file and carry on with the rest of the transfers (it had stopped before half of the whole transfer was completed) while I looked for the missing emails file (big file, too, mind you) and almost immediately the transfer halted again, this time with I/O errors, complaining that the device (the external hard drive) had either been ejected or could not be read. It repeated this same error for SEVERAL files and upon inspecting the total size of the whole backup, it was no longer matching the over 500 GB of data I had verified on the night before. I plugged the drive into my main computer and guess what? Same problem. Could not copy the files because the hard drive was failing at being read. Then I heard it... scrapping noises coming from the drive.
In a nutshell, my external drive which currently holds VERY important data from our biggest client, which doesn't exist anywhere else (don't you forget that this is the backup), is dying and failing to grant access to those files so I can copy them out of there.
Right now I have it connected to my Linux machine to try and copy them and so far I haven't been presented with errors or halts. It's been copying one of the folders from this backup for the past SIX HOURS. It's making progress, but absurdly slowly and I have no idea if the files are undamaged or if the transfer will even complete, eventually. Oh, and the emails are still all gone.
This Sunday has been terrible, but Monday promises to be an even bigger pain in the tail. -__- Should anything on this backup be lost forever, this will be the very first time in all of my years of experience as a computer technician that I lose someone's files. And it's not even due to my negligence. It's due to hardware failure, so not even my fault. But clients don't care about whose fault it is, mine or the hardware. If files are lost, I am the one who will be blamed by the client.
Oh, and there's even more to this terrible tale, even though not entirely related. However that is something to be told in a different post, at a different time. This has been enough text, already. Thank you for reading it.

I don't think this BMW looks very nice.
Aaaaaaaah...! Much better, now!

New report filed. And the one I filed a couple days ago has just been accepted. The player I reported was banned for 4 days for ramming and reckless driving. It's so good when it is a good admin that handles your report! Thank you, @Aragon0450! <3

You only got a day, @antrax 737, because it was your first ban. You, @grizzbear, on the other hand, got three months now because you already had four bans in your record. Now that you are serving your fifth ban, you need to watch yourself to not break any rules again! Your next ban will be permanent and with no chance of having it reversed, as stated in the rules.
QuoteHow bans are issued
The first 3 bans issued are at admin discretion. The 4th ban is 1 month. The 5th ban is 3 months. The 6th ban is permanent with no chance of undo.
Any bans further than 12 months before the current ban are ignored under this rule. This is considered the cooling off period.
