  1. All the information you need can be found on SCS's blog post about the event, right here: http://blog.scssoft.com/2017/12/new-event-grand-gift-delivery-2017.html

    TL;DR version:

Deliver presents to a total of 12 different cities (6 cities per tier) before January 22nd. When/if you complete the tiers, simply go to your account in World of Trucks and you then will be able to claim your reward in the Events menu. In there, you'll find the rewards for this event and an option to redeem them on Steam. Once that's done, the items will be deposited in your Steam Inventory and should become available in your game right away. Bear in mind, however, that the paintjobs you are rewarded from this event are not currently supported by TMP, so if you try to use it on MP, the server will automatically kick you out. Support will be added soon.

  2. No, you shouldn't. "Truckers MP" is not impersonation and thus, is allowed. It is just the community, not the staff.

§1.5 Inappropriate use of language, communication and impersonation of any kind.

    - Using insults of any sort to put another user down. This can include but isn't limited to racism, discrimination and or discussing/expressing (extreme) political, illegal or inappropriate situations/views.
    - Linking or providing access to unsafe websites or content.
    - Light insults such as "idiot" and "noob" aren't normally punished, however, if abused they will be.
    - Impersonating other users, political figures, Moderators or acting like someone who is more superior to another. This can be through the way you speak, your avatar, your license/interior plates, username and/or your game tag.
    - Depending on the situation, this can also apply to other services that we use to aid us within TruckersMP.

  3. Lemuel, are you running Windows XP? ETS2 works on Windows XP, but not MP. You need at least Windows 7 64-bit, otherwise it won't work. If you are still on Windows XP, then it is way past your time to upgrade. Truckers MP does not offer support for 32-bit versions of Windows or any other operating system besides the 64-bit (x64) versions of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

  4. You have Julio, from Cocoricó, as your avatar so it means I now have to give a +1 on this suggestion.

Just joking. :P Seriously, though. I do find this to be a neat idea. Could help quite a bunch on our work to diminish the amount of spammers. I personally also have quite the dislike for those who constantly keep pressing X just to make the noise.

  5. Any game or other program that relies on graphical processing relies on the graphic card to be rendered so there is no such thing as "how to make it run with the graphics card". The graphics card will always be used, so long as its drivers are properly installed. Your processor has a high load of usage there for other reasons. Either your processor is quite weak and is not able to handle all the workload your system is demanding from it, or you have something else running in your computer that is taking up most of your processing power.

  7. 2 hours ago, Glada_Laxen said:

The issue is that the Ghost Mode does not work as intended. It is supposed to be active as long as you are inside another player, but evidentally that is false as you can see in my video. And if it instead use units the entire issue would be solved.

And whoever told you Ghost Mode was supposed to last while you are clipping through someone? From what your video shows, it is working perfectly fine as intended. It's not supposed to last while you are clipping through someone, it is supposed to last for a few seconds regardless of anything so you can have time to move out of their way or so they won't crash into you if you spawn on their faces.

  8. I don't see any problems with the countdown, at all. Regardless of when it starts, the time available to move out of harm is enough. If anything, the "suggestion" you should be making should be for a small increase in the time given before Ghost Mode runs out or a on-screen display of the time left. Either way, it should be common sense to avoid "touching" any vehicle that has just spawned outside of a NCZ and for those who just spawned, it should be common sense to move out of the way as soon as possible.

F7+Enter.

  10. The current time given to Ghost Mode is more than enough for a player to load in, assert the situation and move out of the way if his/her truck/car is clipping through someone's. Either drive to the side of the road or F7 away. In the video example, you did nothing to avoid that incident and you had plenty of time to. You are aware of what happens when you clip through someone when Ghost Mode runs out, you should have moved out of the way. :\ Also, change to units is redundant as time passes anyway. The only difference is that it opens the door for more recklessness. We already heavily disencourage players from driving in Ghost Mode (seriously, DON'T DO THAT!) for that exact reason (crashing into others when Ghost Mode runs out). Have it run out by driven distance instead of time will simply make it easier for trolls to wreck people. As a Game Moderator, I highly disapprove of this idea.

    Case and point:

    1) Spawn

    2) Are you inside a No Collision Zone?

No = MOVE OUT OF THE WAY AND INTO SAFETY IMMEDIATELY!

Yes = Then no need to worry

    3) Are you outside of a No Collision Zone and possibly in someone's way?

No = Then no need to worry

Yes = MOVE OUT OF THE WAY AND INTO SAFETY IMMEDIATELY!

  11. É só acender os faróis quando escurece, ué. Não é difícil e não machuca. Pra isso o servidor dá um aviso automático em letras vermelhas bem visíveis no chat. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  12. What Harley said is correct. Your friend will have to open a Support ticket over at https://support.truckersmp.com/ and explain the situation. TMP can change the email and password of the account for him after a few security and authenticity checks, but only him can contact support for it. You can do it for him, but unless it is your friend himself, nothing can be done. Additionally, if his Steam account has been compromised, the he will have to contact Valve, instead, as TMP does not have any control over Steam accounts.

Tell your friend to contact Truckers MP's Support and explain the situation. Our team of Support staff will gladly do what they can to help! :)

  13. It's not really a matter of being "popular" or compatible. I'm certain there are snow mods for ATS but it's very unlikely we'll get any for ATSMP for quite some time. The thing is... the regions currently available on ATS are arid regions and it never snows there in their real life counterparts. California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico are not states that ever receive snow in the winter so it would not make any sense to add snow to them. ETS2 gets it in the entire map every year because all of those places are places where it can snow in the winter in real life so it makes perfect sense to have snow in the game during this time of the year. Maybe in the future, when ATS receives snowy states, we might be seeing snow mod coming to MP but until then, that's not something that should happen.

  14. Headlights check. Best addition, ever! No more do we need to do any /sann to tell players to turn on their headlights or personally ask specific players to turn them on. :'D

inb4 people start posting around and/or contacting Support/Feedback to ask for help because they are getting kicked "no reason". lol

  15. I am very sorry but I have to disagree. Add these sort of noises to the CB would just make things worse. The mic quality of many players who are constantly on the CB is already bad enough to add any more interference. Add it would just make it even harder and more annoying to hear them. It will never be added.

Number two is just pointless. There already are rules in place to regulate the usage of the CB:

And limit its usage in any way of form to English or any other specific language only would be discrimination of other cultures. Don't forget that though English is the main language of Truckers MP, users of all nationalities and languages use our services. They are free to express themselves as they please, so long as no rules are violated in the process. Not to mention that the only way exclusive language channels would be respected/used by only the given language, even on the slightest, would be if admins would start to monitor them constantly. We already have a rather high load of work to be done in-game with the hundreds of reports you guys file every minute, we already have to patrol the busiest roads to ensure everyone is driving properly and remove the ones who are not, we already have to watch over the chat to remove anyone who insults another player and we also have to review the thousands of reports that are sitting on the web report system. It all takes quite some time from us. That's some extra work that we definitely don't need, at the moment. Not to mention that some of us actually prefer to have the CB in our cab completely shutdown altogether.

To me, this is a -1 to it all.

  16. You didn't do anything wrong. The servers are programmed to automatically kick any players whose truck/car don't move within 5 minutes (I think it is 5, I could be remembering the time wrong) or don't type anything in the chat within that time span. This is done for a few reasons, mainly to make room for other players to connect (in the event the server is too full, for example, so players who are not playing but just taking up a slot can give way to someone who will actually play) and to prevent someone from blocking the road while not being near their computer for some reason. The system cannot currently identify if a player is doing something in the menus of the game so that is why you got auto-kicked while purchasing a truck.

To get around this, you can simply open up the chat, hit Space once and then Enter (or just type anything, really) every few minutes. This will reset your AFK counter and the server will give you more time and not kick you.

  17. All these years and people still expect slippery roads with the winter mod? Haven't any of you who want that learned anything from that one super populous road I like to call Death Road and the thousands of griefers? :troll:

Anyway... well, I guess it's coming the time to prepare my little Christmas Iveco as per my own tradition and get all cozy in it! :P

Or at least until the new Scania I ordered arrives, then I'll have to break my tradition for a while.

  18. @GGF MD and a few others pretty much nailed down the answer for you. However, I would like to add the following:

Though you may not be banned for not slowing down when someone's attempting to overtake you, you could be banned if you, in a way or another, prevent that person from safely overtaking and your actions result in an accident. Say for example, that Player A has a clear lane and enough room to overtake you safely and he tries to do so but you speed up when he's next to you. While he tries to get more speed to pass you, Player B comes in on the opposite lane and Player A either crashes into Player B or one of them (or both) go off road to avoid a collision. Or alternatively, while attempting to overtake you, you swerve into Player A's path, forcing him off the road (and potentially crashing into something) or forcing him to slam his brakes and possibly losing control and crashing.

These are just two examples of how you could be banned for not letting someone overtake you. Now, of course there are other variants that would determine whether or not you would be the one at fault, so the best thing to do is to always let people overtake you, just to be on the safe side. Especially if you can tell they might not make it before another player comes in on the opposite direction. In this case, the player trying to overtake you would be wrong, but at least you'd help avoiding a potential accident that could involve you as a victim. After all, you are not in a race so there is no need to keep other people from passing you.
