I was extremely angry and in a really bad mood a couple days ago so to try and calm down a little I started playing the ZX Spectrum version of SimCity and although my city was doing generally well, my sims were like: "WE HATE YOU, EAT CRAP AND DIE!" ;-;

My day started out bad, my favorite mug broke, and it only got worse by the evening with my mother being, well... by her being her (long and complex story), but I think at some point throughout the day I must have stumbled upon a portal that took me to an alternate timeline. Wut...

As if the start of my day already wasn't bad enough as is, I was washing my favorite mug to make me coffee, and I hit the handle on a dish in the sink and it broke. I hope super glue can fix it it. ;-;

I had to run a bunch of overdue errands today and that took longer than I hoped and got me running late for today's stream. Given that I still have to do a few more things now that I am back home, I will be skipping today's stream altogether (maybe I do it tomorrow? No promises). But do stay tuned for the next Gaming Friday for that should still go live normally.

I was today years old when I discovered that you can name your saves in Cruis'n USA for the Nintendo 64.

Brother, Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement is some really powerful stuff. I'm addicted to it. I feel like I could listen to it all day long and not get tired of it. There's so many good reinterpretations of it too. Like this one:

Because my psychiatrist is out for the holidays, I couldn't renew my anti-depressants prescription so I could buy more. I haven't taken any for a couple weeks now since I ran out and I can safely say that I do feel a huge negative difference.

Now, I'm not saying that I MUST have that medication, but it sure helps far more than I am able to realize when I'm taking it.

At long last I no longer need to have my microphone taking up space on my desk. I finally got an articulated microphone arm.

Unpopular opinion: Perhaps I may not be as into simulators as I think I am, for honestly I find the Gran Turismo games to be extremely boring. A total snore fest. Not bad games, far from it, just absurdly boring. Much less fun and enjoyable than the Cruis'n series, which are complete arcade mayhem and 0 simulation.

Let's continue our quest to recover one of the most important and valuable objects for this post-humanity society, dominated by sentient talking animals (who also hunt other animals for food, presumably, and that alone imposes SEVERAL questions. It took me SEVERAL hours across a handful of days and a LOT of tinkering, but I finally managed to sort out the gas and brake controls for the arcade version of Cruis'n USA. On that note, which version would you rather see me play on a livestream? The arcade or N64 version?

It's Christmas and as a Christian myself, I consider killing demons a good thing. So have a short DOOM video made with 0 planning or scripting that I just made on the spot:

I must be honest and say that I actually really like the Super Nintendo port of DOOM, despite its obvious flaws. If you can run it on RetroArch it is even better, for there you can set up a custom control scheme to give SNES DOOM a "modern" control scheme using both joysticks.

I couldn't do it on-stream, but off-stream, with no need to share brain power with commentary and reading chat so all of it can be dedicated to focusing on just the game, I finally made it! I've unlocked event 51 in Melee. I beat this and I get to unlock Final Destination! At last. I've unlocked event 51. I beat this and I get to unlock Final Destination. The only unlockable that left, that I know of, that interests me.

You know what really sucks? Getting copyrighted on YouTube by in-game music of a game you simply recorded yourself playing.
