  1. The game is crashing because someone nearby you is using one of the new paintjobs from the Christmas DLC. You can have the DLC just fine but if you put it on the truck you are currently driving on MP, everyone around will crash. And that's what is happening. Someone nearby you is using their DLC on their current truck.
  2. You can have the DLC installed just fine. Just don't put one of the new paintjobs on the truck you are driving on MP. You won't crash if you are the only one in an area using the new paintjob; but if someone else who is using it enters the area then the problem will happen and you both will crash (you because the other player with the DLC applied to their truck approached you and you because the other player because he approached you). Thoughboth crashing is not a certainty. I can't tell that for sure. Regardless, if you have any of the Christamas paintjobs on the truck you are driving in MP, everyone around you will crash and keep on crashing until you are either away from them or until you change your paint. What happens is that the data of the paintjob is not recognized by the mod so it doesn't know what to tell the client to render on that truck with the paintjob so it hangs (even if the client has the DLC). Once the mod is patched to support the new DLC it will "know" what the paintjob a truck is using is and will tell the client to render the said paintjob. And if the client doesn't have the DLC for that paintjob installed, the mod will tell it to render that boring green-looking stock paint. So the most immediate solution to this issue before a patch is released is to simply not use the Xmas DLC paintjobs on the truck you are currently driving on MP. If no one uses it then no one will crash and we all can play happily. But try making the world understand that. ¬_¬
  3. Indeed. I'm surprised they haven't officially mentioned anything yet! Normally they put up a thread on the same day the problem is detected and it's been over 24 hours, now.

  5. lol That's pretty accurate. XD And I tell by experience for I've been in those shoes, once, when I was new to MP and didn't know how it works. At the time they had just released the Brazilian Paintjobs DLC and I bought it and wanted to show off my blue macaws paint on one of my Volvos but everyone nearby seemed to disconnect whenever I got close. Didn't take me long to realize it was because of the DLC and that the mod didn't support it yet, though. Once I figured it out I removed the paint and all worked well. I felt bad for the people I made crash, though. This is basically what happens on the end of the player who's got the unsupported paintjob on their truck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbTAouAX7R8
  6. Actually it's not if you have the DLC installed/enabled or not that causes the problem but have it on the truck you are currently driving. The data of the paintjob is not recognized by the mod so it doesn't know what to tell the client to render on that truck with the paintjob so it hangs (even if the client has the DLC).
  7. Load your save is enough to make the issue affect you for when you load it makes you spawn in the world. And when you do, your client starts to receive data from the server, including the issues caused by the unsupported DLC and thus, your game crashes. At this point I pretty much gave up on playing MP today. I'll be better off with waiting for the patch. Hope they fix the traffic lights sync this time, too.
  8. Guys. These crashes are due to people using the new Christmas DLC paintjobs on their trucks in MP. The mod still doesn't support it so people with the new paint makes the game crash for everybody. You will crash whenever someone who's got a Christmas paintjob enters your radius area. It doesn't matter if it's in a city or on the road. You will crash if they get near you. The immediate solution to this is very simple: DO NOT USE ANY OF THE CHRISTMAS PAINTJOBS ON MULTIPLAYER BEFORE IT IS PATCHED!!! Simple as that.
  9. Doesn't change the fact that it is true.
  10. TruCkDr1V3r is right. The Christmas Paintjobs DLC has been released today and the MP certainly does not support it yet. Your game crashes whenever someone who's wearing one of the new paintjobs on their truck gets in your radius area. They should be considerate and not use the new paintjobs until the mod is patched. Most people should know by now that the game crashes if you use a paintjob that is not yet supported. Rotterdam is being a pain at the moment because of these crashes. I thought my game wouldn't crash now that I have my DLC installed as well but this time it still does. I see that I'll have to go on singleplayer if I want to drive off Rotterdam, today. Seriously people. DO NOT APPLY ANY OF THE CHRISTMAS PAINTJOBS TO YOUR TRUCK IN MULTIPLAYER!!
  11. For some reason my post was published twice so I am editing this to not have a repeated message.
  12. This again? We've been through this matter more times than I can count, already. It's all already set and defined. The admins/developers already stated several times that the speed limit is here to stay and that the max speed won't be changed. If you want to go faster than 90 KM/h go on the freeroam server and be happy. And for the record... a limit of 120 KM/h is basically the same as not having a limit at all. The limiter is here to stay and I support it. It's honestly better with it than it was without it.
  13. Not sure if someone already suggested this but I'll give it a shot. Suggestion Name: No-collision zone in Mannheim's car parking lot. Suggestion Description: Enable a NCZ in the whole parking lot used for meetings. Any example images: No. Why should it be added?: It's not something really needed but I thought that it could be useful for when there is a meeting going on there and lots of trucks get together inside that area. I've never been there myself so I don't really know how problematic it can get when busy but I've seen screenshots so I'm imagining that every now and then there must be some problems with accidents and people spawning into each other during save reloads and such. I'm just thinking that a NCZ in that area could help avoid such problems in case they do happen. Perhaps make the exit also a NCZ so no one will get tangled up or something. Not that it happens. Again, I don't really know what happens there when busy. I just thought this could be useful.
  14. Will you people stop talking about the limiter, already! We've already been through that several times in the past and it's all sorted now. No use to keep on poking this subject. It's like beating a dead horse, now. Enough! There is a freeroam server with no speed limit to hold you back. If you want to run just go there and be happy! I think that at this point this thread should be locked.
  15. Problem with that is that it would make identification of times a much more difficult task in case knowing the time something was done or said was necessary. We all have different times so use the computer's clock to identify the time would be messy. I support the idea of server-side time stamps in the chat.
  16. This again? I thought we were over this ages ago. I'm no admin or such but I can already say that the answer to this will be a big "no". And I agree. Besides, like already pointed out here, there is a server just for the Speed Racers to knock themselves out with all the speed they want without harming other players. "Have more fun"? I am actually having more fun with a top speed of 90 KM/h than I used to have without the imposed limit. If you want to run go on the Freeroam server. I suggest this thread is locked before it turns into one of those old and annoying "remove limiter" discussions we had when it was implemented.
  17. It's never too late to join! However... Currently only EU#1 and US#1 are active and due to some changes and issues going on, both are running on non-collision free roam mode until MP updates to support ETS2 1.14 (MP is still running on 1.12 so you'll have to downgrade your ETS2 if you want to join. They are already compiling the code so the update should come out in a matter of days, now).
  18. Cayd is right. I do remember a post from one of the mod developers last month mentioning that they will add snow to the roads of ETS2 MP for the Christmas time. It was on the old forums which are no longer available but I found the Trucksim version of the post: https://www.trucksim.org/threads/snow.2818/
  19. I am Brazilian, I can understand all they are saying in the video but all I can think of is... what the actual f*ck?! 0_o
  20. I am not sure/don't know if someone has already posted this in another area of the forums (I looked around briefly and didn't spot anything) so I thought about doing it just in case. Steam has got an ongoing sale for Euro Truck Simulator 2. 66% discount until November 26th: http://store.steampowered.com/app/227300 The Going East! DLC and High Power Cargo also seems to be on sale and there is also a DLC package bundle with a 50% discount. I think this is another great opportunity for those who want but still haven't got this game or for those who just want another copy of it for whatever reason. Or maybe gift it to a friend!
  21. Eh, sure! Why not? Got nothing to lose, I suppose! I've a friend who wants to play it with me on MP but he's got no money to buy the game.
  22. Oh, I see. So maybe that's why the times messed up. Time on MP is controlled server-side. When you switch servers or to SP, the game can't tell what the real time of your trip is. If I may suggest, you should save up some money and buy your own truck before hopping onto multiplayer. Or get a loan. Once you have your own truck (and is fully rested) you should be able to do Quick Jobs in MP just fine. That way you can make some cash faster than you'd do driving your own truck for that way you won't have to spend money on fuel and repairs. The loan should be paid in no time. I also recommend that despite doing that, you use your own truck for the longest trips. You'll be spending money on fuel and repairs but you'll also be getting a bigger paycheck (supposing you don't crash/damage the trailer and don't get late). Go with Quick Jobs for shorter trips. P.S: If you want a good truck for the best price, I recommend buying the Volvo FH16 Classic. Not because it's what everybody uses, but it's because it's the truck that offers the best specs for the lowest price. About 99k (or 98k if you remove some stock accessories) and you can get a simple model with a engine of around 580HP (or was it 560? I forgot the exact horsepower), which is upgradable up to 750HP (the best in the game). Other truck brands only have weaker engines for that 99k price tag. And they cannot be upgraded past 700HP. (Except for the Scanias. They can go up to 730. Though Scanias are more expensive than than Volvos.)
  23. I'm excited about American Truck Simulator, Pokémon OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire and Smash Bros for Wii U. Plus a lot others that already came out but I can't afford, yet.
