    According to their posts and interviews, the original idea was to make it into a whole new simulator of its own but using the same map as ETS2 as well as many other assets from ETS2. Though the amount of things being taken from ETS2 was so many that instead they decided to turn it into a DLC for ETS2 instead. I remember one of their blog posts said that once you are in a bus the whole game will work differently (since you are transporting people and not cargo, after all), meaning that the DLC will have it's own mechanics. Change back and forth between the two kinds of gameplay in ETS2 should only require the player changing vehicles as we already do, currently.

     

    I wish SCS would give us any news about this project but they are so secretive! I do know they are still working on it for sure, though. Last year Squirrel did a tour on SCS's studio and did some interviews. You can see the buses DLC being worked on at a certain point in the video. That was last year, only a few months before ATS was released.

  2. A station wagon could be neat. Though it would be even more pointless than the sedan we already have. Let's be honest... although I do kind of like the Skoda on MP and it is fun to go for a leisure drive on one of those, they are completely pointless and useless, serving no purpose to exist whatsoever other than just being a nifty thing that is there because it could be added. A wagon version could be nice but I'd rather have the double trailers, already.

    You see, although that is true that you may find several people by searching up that profile, the report video is set to Unlisted and the only people who have access to it are me, the admins who can access my report and the person who I reported (because the link is available to him on the "reason for ban"). That's one of the reasons I believe it is the same person. Besides, his Steam name and TruckersMP are both different.

    I have a quick question regarding the following rule:

    Bullying/Harrassment - Ban

    Leaving abusive comments on report videos and otherwise continually harrassing users.

     

    Yesterday I filed a report against someone and the person got banned (3 months due to history) and this morning I found a comment on the report video I sent as evidence calling me an idiot. I am pretty sure it's from the same person I got banned. Forgive my ignorance but my question is... Can/should I file another report? If so, can/should I file the report against the ID I believe is the one whose said comment belongs to?

    Would this sort of thing qualify for a new report?

  6. ETS2's EU#1 already has an automatic speed limiter that limits all trucks to up to 110 KM/h on the roads and 50 KM/h in cities. ATS used to have a EU#1 with speed limiter but now it's all gone, it seems. (I miss it SO freaking much ;-; ) Forgive me for saying this and if I am being rude (not my intention) but... Make a rule to turn speeds over 20 KM/h in certain areas is really idiotic. No one will like to drive at 20 KM/h or less. Even I, someone who supports the imposed speed limiter, would hate this rule.

     

    I know how upsetting it is to be rammed like that (trust me... I REALLY do) but such rule will not stop it. If anything, it will only give the admins extra (and unnecessary) work. Besides, the examples shown in the videos were not simply speeders. Those were rammers. They crashed into you on purpose, that it very clear. They had a LOT of space to drive by and yet they chose to hit you. I know an intentional hit when I see one and those were definitely intentional. Did you report them on the site? If not, then you should have.

     

    I'm sorry, but I am not a supporter of this suggestion. :\

  7. TruckersMP não oferece mais suporte à plataforma x86 (32-bit) do Windows desde o lançamento de American Truck Simulator. Optaram por fazer assim para facilitar o desenvolvimento do mod, já que desenvolver para x86 e x64 daria muito trabalho e causaria grande demora nos updates. Como ATS só funciona em x64, os desenvolvedores do mod unificaram o multiplayer de ambos os jogos em apenas um cliente de 64-bit. Eles fizeram diversos anúncios antes e depois do lançamento de ATS para avisar os jogadores sobre a mudança. Como este aqui, por exemplo: 

     

     

    Infelizmente, a única maneira de você poder jogar em multiplayer agora, será fazer um upgrade de plataforma. Como não dá para simplesmente mudar o Windows de 32-bit para 64-bit, você terá que formatar seu computador para instalar uma cópia limpa de alguma versão x64 do Windows. Lamento, mas não há outro jeito. :\

  8. What the guys said. Besides, add a report function for the CB wouldn't do much more than the already existing in-game report system do. For either, the presence of an admin on the scene while the incident is happening is necessary. And we all know how that it doesn't happen often for various reasons. Record and report on the site is way more efficient.

  9. Dude. Just buy the Cabin Accessories DLC. You can put a GPS on any truck with it. You can try asking SCS to add it to the base game but I assure you they won't. Just buy the DLC.

     

    With that being said, though, the new Renault T will come with GPS on the dash by default.

  10. Neat! But I have V assigned for beacons on ETS2. :\

     

    Does it transmit at all times? As in... will I be hearing nearby players all the time? Or does it only transmit their voices to me when I want to? It will get really annoying very fast if it transmits at all times.

    Mods such as those are already possible. Check the links above. As for hybrids in ATS, that's just a matter of time. Though with only two identical trucks in the game at this moment, hybrids are pointless.

  12. Noraf sums up pretty well something I have already said a couple times on other threads about the addition or expansion of NCZs. Which, if you folks don't mind, I will quote from their threads:

     

    To be honest, I not only would prefer to have the choice of where to park my trailer, but also to always pick the hardest spots. I'm honestly having a lot of fun parking in those tight spots.

     

    With that being said, that gas station is not the only kind of spot that may (and most likely will) become a problem on MP. I have come across quite a few different places that have a lot of potential to be chaos zones in multiplayer. Not because of the places themselves but because of some players. I am talking about those *insert insult of your choice here* who can never wait for their turn to park and always clip through you to park their trailer first, even if they got there last, completely blocking your sight of the spot you are trying to park on, resulting in you messing up your maneuver. And some of those, not happy enough with cutting in, take ages to complete their parking and more often than always, just sit there and idle at the spot once they are done. (You know who you are.) Personally that pisses me of really badly.

     

    On ETS2, however, that isn't exactly an issue in regards to collisions and road blocking because the yards are usually large enough to comport several trucks within the NCZ at once. On small places such as that gas station, however, even with an NCZ, there certainly will be road blockages and certainly there will be collisions. After all, in that particular example, there is no way you can park in there without blocking the street for a bit.

     

    Actual serious and good players will most likely wait patiently for their turn to park, certainly somewhere where their truck won't be blocking the street and if we only had players such as these it would all be fine. Wouldn't even need a NCZ to begin with (except for the places where you pick up trailers, of course. A NCZ in those is mandatory). Remember the first days of Scandinavia? No NCZ and almost all the players around there were serious and respectful. No rushing in, no hitting other trucks, patiently waiting for their turn, etc. It was amazing. Good times. Only problem was picking up trailers. That was a nightmare. A sometimes hilarious nightmare.

    I assure you that any problems we may have around those areas will come from those other players.

     

    I am in love with these challenging parking spots.   :wub: I want them in.

     

    I wish ETS2 had them. There are some tricky ones but not nearly as fun as the ones on ATS.

    I played and the NCZs are working as they should. If you found a problem, post a bug report in the appropriate section. Now, if you are referring to the multiple people who rush in into other trucks and cause mayhem around depots, services, etc. because they don't know what's the meaning of the phrase "wait for your turn", then that's a bug in their education, not the mod or the NCZ. Expand the NCZs will not solve these issues. It will just move them to somewhere else and make them larger.

     

     

     

    So, as Noraf, I and others have said, for cases such as these, NCZs will only cause more trouble than they will solve. If they could solve any at all. So I too give my vote down on this suggestion. Wait 10-15 minutes? What's the problem with that? It's part of the game. Why the rush? If you gotta be somewhere in real life and can't wait, then simply park somewhere else, save and quit the game. I never parked at any of those construction sites but I would not mind to wait for my turn if there is a line. If anything, it would actually just add to the fun. This game isn't about who can make their delivery first, after all. This ain't King of the Road.

     

    So yeah. -1. Sorry but not sorry.

  13. In your game settings you can enable/disable the default 90KM/h speed limiter. But if you are referring to the server speed limiter then forget it. You can't change/disable it. Just play on EU#2 or SA#1. They don't have a limiter.

  14. I like the idea of a global chat window you can bring up like the Tab players list, like Firestarter suggested. An option in the mod settings can be added to have it enabled or disabled at all times. Don't even need to use a different key to make it appear when you want it. Have it set by default to pop up alongside the players list when you press Tab should be good enough. Just make sure the window can be dragged/resized and have transparency.

     

    The issue with it being on a separate window would be how to make it active for typing, though. That could be an issue if someone tried to type while driving. But then again... why would anyone do that? Text and drive are two things that don't mix well together. Best thing is to pull over to somewhere safe and then you type.

     

    Regardless, I like the idea.
