Question for all of you with dem fancy graphics cards that cost a kidney and half a person's blood here in Brazil...
How well would you recommend me a GeForce GTX 970? (Only NVidia, please. I'm not interested in AMD Radeons.) I'd prefer a GTX 1080, sure, but the bloody thing costs over $1300 in Brazil. I'd have to sell my soul to buy one of those by myself.

here are the system specs for overwatch https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7636

Yeah, I've seen them before. If I go with the 960 and eventually get that game, it should be fine for the most part. Any of the options presented so far would, actually.
As for most demanding game I currently have, I think that would be ETS2/ATS, I think. lol But obviously, eventually I will get "bigger" ones.
-
Also, because I started to "panic" and rush around, I switched to my car, forgot that brakes are nothing but a fairy tale so I had a few crashes with it. I recorded them. No one but me was injured.
-
I thought about remaking that old video about keyboard steering but it didn't turn out as I had planned so instead of scrapping it I edited it as a playthrough and here it is. Enjoy!

I'd blame the talking, explaining stuff and not paying attention to the road, it happens
tho u might be right, cuz i guess brakes are 100% or 0% with keyboard.
What I hated about keyboard the most is air simulation + braking, i used to tap S key to slow slowly slowdown, (used to drive with AWSD as i was used to it from shooters) and when i came to crossroads I would normally run out of air. Not able to move I had to skip first green light as i had to refill air for brakes to unlock, fun times xD
-
Yeah, the talking does influence a lot in the attention factor. Especially for me since I am not actually used to do talking when playing games. It is very distracting to me. That's why I often "tumble over" some words, can't remember some and sometimes even lose track of what I was saying. It's not that I am an idiot, it's just that I am trying to concentrate on the road. XD You can tell the difference on the opening disclaimer. That talk went flawlessly. But then again, I wasn't playing anything when I recorded those lines!
Yeah, keyboards are binary. You either apply the brakes at 100% of force or you don't apply them at all. There is no middle ground. The service brakes alone are not the best thing if you want to simply slow down so I workaround this issue with the usage of the retarder and the engine brake to slow down and then the service brakes when I have to stop. Sometimes I use the trailer brakes, as well. Mostly when I feel the trailer is causing the truck to lose control, though often I forget those brakes exist and end up not using them when I'd need to (such as in this video). The air pressure can indeed be an issue with keyboard braking. I used to have that problem as well but then I figured that I could simply turn off the air brakes simulation. May take away a bit from the simulation aspect, but it's best than being stuck in place and unable to move until the engine can build up air pressure again.

So this happened shortly ago and I am not sure if I should report or not.
You see... I am a very strong feeling that this person was spawning in the middle of the road to crash other trucks on purpose. That other truck stopped on the shoulder might very well be his friend and they were both in a voice chat to communicate when the person should load a save. The truck on the shoulder would tell him when someone was coming and then he would load on the face of whoever was coming, then teleport away. Why else would someone laying on their side load a save in the middle of the road? That truck on the shoulder just makes it even more suspicious. Or it could all be in my head and this was just a big, unfortunate coincidence. And that's why I am not sure if I should report. :\

Goddamn, @Blazie. XD

In this case I would say not to report. I say this for a couple of reasons:
1. I don't think that other truck on the side of the road was timing it and telling the other truck to spawn in but what I think happened is the truck that spawned somehow crashed (possibly because of the other truck) and tried to load an auto save, but the auto save was after the crash (this has happened to me a few times).
2. After that player spawned in and realised that they were still on their side they either f7'ed, closed the game or loaded another save. What I would expect from a troll would be to stay there and block the road.
I think this was just a poorly timed accident, feel free to report but that was just my thoughts
-
Guys, explain to me how reckless driving and blocking is "not a ban reason", please.

So apparently, there is an admin in the team who thinks that a report is not legitimate if you don't run a /pinfo and catch it on video. In other words, I just had a legitimate report declined under the excuse that there was no Truckers MP ID in the video and that I should do a /pinfo.
What the actual buck? I've made dozens of reports before and never needed to have the /pinfo <ID here> in the video evidence before. Since when did that become a requirement, now? Where is the thread/announcement that informs us users about this change? What if we can't run /pinfo or use the MP interface quickly enough when we get rammed? Does that mean the griefers who are quick enough to evade/quit the game before the player can catch their ID will get away now, even when we can find their name in the footage later and use that to locate their Truckers MP ID in the spawn log?
Yes, I am upset and I am considering to mail [email protected] I filed the report again but if this BS happen again, I will mail the feedback. Such nonsense!
-
You know... I am 97% certain that people I have reported and got banned recently subscribed to my channel JUST so they could leave dislikes on my videos. Crashes Compilation 29 hasn't been out for even 15 minutes and this is already going on:
Well, you know what, folks? Just because you "love" it so much, I will start, from now on, I am going to include the report evidence with your names in it on future episodes. And more than that, I will include a disclaimer to let everyone know the clip was used in a report and that the person featured in the clip was banned. How about that, hm? You know who you are.

The Real Operations V3 is coming up this Sunday. I've been part of the last two ones and once more, I'll be joining the third one. Though since I used a construction truck on the first simulation and a police on the second to direct the flow of traffic, I am thinking whether or not I should use my construction truck again on V3 or perhaps be the one to simulate a crashed truck. That's a role I haven't played yet.
Hmmm... construction
Or crash the Scania?
I might crash the Scania. Just because it's a Scania.

Dear God, my head.... -__- I just woke up and got a headache. My head feels like it's about to explode.

FireFox is overrated. Internet Explorer is rubbish. Opera is not as good as it used to be (popular opinion). Microsoft Edge is limited to Windows 10 and you are tired of Google Chrome. Then I recommend Vivaldi. Almost the perfect replacement for all browsers.

Well, since everyone is sharing what's their browser of choice, I'll join the conversation.
I love Chrome. It's my main browser for everything. I hear people complain about its RAM usage but honestly, I never had issues with that. Even with lots of tabs open, it never seemed to take up more memory than it was supposed to. FireFox, on the other hand, ALWAYS gave me a hard time with memory. I had it for a while and it would always eat up most of my RAM. Even on a clean install with a single tab and no extensions. Always. And it still does! On any computer I find it. I flip the bird to FF.
Recently I have been experimenting with Vivaldi and even went on a two weeks period with using nothing but Vivaldi for all my internet needs just so I could evaluate how good it is and I've been happy with -most- the results. I wouldn't migrate from Chrome to it but if I had to, I would have no objection at all! It supports the same extensions as Chrome, is very compatible, it looks nice, it is fast, light, has good customization options never crashed on me on the times I used it.
Only reason I mentioned on the initial post that it is "almost perfect" is due to a few little details that drew my attention. Things Chrome can do or can do better. Things such as:
- Unlike on Chrome, Vivaldi doesn't let you attach or detach a tab from the main window or attach one from another window.
- Vivaldi doesn't let you quickly search for a word or phrase on Google just by selecting it and dragging it up to an existing or new tab.
- The mouse cursor won't auto-hide on full screen YouTube videos so you have to hide it on the edge of the screen yourself.
- There is no auto-sync for favorites, extensions and settings across computers. Though that's a minor thing for you can easily copy your stuff from Vivaldi on PC A to PC B by simply copying over Vivaldi's user profile folder inside its system directory. Only thing you'll need to do after that is download your extensions.
- It doesn't seem to "learn" very well what are your most typed URLs. For instance, whenever I type in "fo" on the URL bar, Chrome will auto-fill forum.truckersmp.com (which is the address I want to access). Vivaldi, however, will auto-fill Forbes' website. o~o Sometimes if I just type "f" it will fill in TruckersMP address, though. But just sometimes. Same deal with other sites.
These are minor details, however. Nothing that really affect the overall experience. And I'm pretty sure these can (and most likely will) be addressed with time. Vivaldi is pretty new, after all. Despite all this I am happy with this browser. I like it and as I said before, at least for me, it is a really good replacement for Chrome if I ever decide to migrate. Though Chrome is my main browser and I don't plan on switching, I'm keeping Vivaldi as well. Better than IE and FireFox, that's for sure.

Me on Viva Trucking's downfall:
I'm not trying to be mean. I just really can't care much because of how little I know about them besides the fact that they were a VTC. XD

Bus tickets are currently so expensive in my city and the quality of the vehicles and their comfort so poor that it is actually cheaper and more worth to buy fuel and drive your own car to whenever you need instead of taking a bus. :\ How ridiculous is that! Seriously! I spend less money with fuel and maintenance for my '86 Fiat Prêmio monthly than I used to spend with bus fares to work. And mind you, that's an old car.
-
You know what? I'll just say this... Most of you people may dislike ATS but I love it and I think it deserves more love and attention. If I get promoted, that game will be having an IGA around a lot more often.

Be mindful!

Today's convoy was surprisingly peaceful! I arrived over an hour earlier than I was supposed to, no scrub VTC trucks overtaking everyone like crazy and ramming whoever's in their way in the process, the few overtakers I had around me didn't cut in, found a few familiar faces, I only needed to make one stop for fuel and only got lost twice!
It was a good day.
Here's a few pictures of the event.
Here's a group of staff/organizers, waiting for the convoy to begin. Oh, and @Kravaty was also there, I guess.
Which speaking of Krav, him and @Mirko9 had to take a quick break to a little kiss on the cheek under a tree.
@Killua (DavidOC93), @Penguin and @KhaosHammer_BF were also there!
A couple admins guard the exit.
And off we were, led by @Horizon.
RIP @invasivespark and @ResTed.
The sun rises as we leave Scandinavian territory.
We wanted to go but train said "no".
And thus, another great event comes to a close!

I couldn't work on it sooner but here it is. My POV of the staff race from last Sunday. Enjoy.
P.S: Sorry and RIP @Sgt_Tailor and thanks @KhaosHammer for letting me use a clip from your own video!

If the silly idea of adding another car to Truckers MP were to become a reality, I wouldn't want anything but this:
Add a ladder accessory to the roof and we'd have the fastest car in the history of the universe, ready to bead any puny Scout, Volvo and Scania combined, any day!

I want a Lumia 950. :| I want one quite badly. Love my 640 XL and now I want a 950 or 950 XL.
Time to start saving money!

Lol @Mike Dragon Then I understand (about the price) here you only can buy an i5 and a 1060 for the price of an iphone x so the prices are different. Also that is each one opinion. Because for me is not important that thing of itunes. I haven't used it more than 3 times. And also in my experience I have an android with 2 ram and snapdragon 820 and an Iphone with 1 gb of ram and I don't know the processor and for me is much better the iphone even having less specs. That's only personal opinion.
-
It's a matter of restrictions, freedom and practicality + price. iPhones suck at all these aspects for being overpriced, restrictive and by extension, unpractical. Androids are cheap but unpractical and slightly restrictive, platform-wise. Windows 10 Mobile is cheap, performs well, is practical and gives all the freedom one could wish for in a mobile device. It's not just a matter of opinion but logic. I'm looking at the whole package each platform offers, you know? If iPhones weren't so overpriced and restrictive, I'd have no issues towards them but that thing about them makes them completely worthless in terms of value per price.

I just received the news from my boss that one of our clients cancelled their contract today and the owner destroyed my service. I don't understand why, though. I always thought I was doing a good job with them. I've got praise from a couple others and I don't recall doing anything differently with this one. Apparently other clients who left also had complaints about my service, though, but I've never been informed about that until now. My boss and I are going to talk about this situation later this afternoon. I fear I might lose my job today. It has been the best job I've had, so far.
-
Apparently people do loooove to add me on Steam.
Little do they know that I don't accept invitations from people I don't already know. GG.
-
Guys, could you give me your opinion on this -potential- report evidence, please?
I want to report this guy but I am concerned he might be "protected" by the argument of desync. In a way, I do think it could be plausible to a certain degree, but if there indeed was a desync issue, how come his truck was moving so smoothly on my screen (as well as all others in town)? And even if there was desync, I find it very hard to believe that it was so bad on his end that my truck wasn't even showing on his screen.
As you can see, the guy simply shoved me away! And he did honk at me before I reached the exit so he knew I was there.
Anyway, what do you folks think? Worth a report?

Not too long ago SCS hinted having interest in adding Tesla's semi truck to their games (most likely ATS since Tesla is a North American company), which by itself was quite exciting! Now Tesla finally unveiled their new truck and holy moly! I want that on ATS, someday!
It may not have the best looks but the specs sound amazing!
But for now, I'm still mostly looking forward to that awesome International Lonestar SCS is going to add once the license is finally given to them. That thing is so ridiculously cool looking!

"Calais-Duisburg is chaos!"
Well, OF COURSE it is chaos! You all cluster up in one tiny portion of the map all the time! What did you expect?! People should avoid that whole area entirely. And at all times, too. ETS2's map doesn't contain only that region to drive through, after all. No one can complain about the size of ATS's map when they stick to only one tiny portion of ETS2's map as if it is all there is.
"Ooh, but that's where you'll find most people and be around people is fun! The rest of the map is mostly empty."
Then stop cluttering the same spot all the time! If people would stop concentrating in that same tiny portion of the map and went back to exploring the entire map as they used to, then there would be lots of people everywhere and the map wouldn't be "empty". This is all on you! 98% of the people driving around the Calais-Duisburg region have no real reason to be there and just go there because they want. And then they complain that they get into trouble. Well, then stop taking risks!
This sort of thing reminds me of a few cartoons (cannot remember any in particular at the moment) where a character puts his hand on something so hot it burn and complains it hurts so he takes the hand off of it, only to put it back immediately, "Ouch! It's hot! - Ouch, it's hot! - Ouch, it's hot!".
Let this be an advice. Avoid such highly populated areas and I assure you your experience on ETS2's EU2 will improve dramatically!
-
First delivery with the new truck has been completed. Stuttgart to <insertnameofcityherecauseIcantrememberitforthelifeofme>.
Now I gotta work but later tonight I plan on tackling in-game reports on ETS2 so if you plan on violating any rules, you better watch out! I might come and bite you.
