You never thought about the lack of self control is what has caused this? Simply put by using your max download speed continuously for 3 hours at the same time as everyone else you collectively put huge strain on their servers. Are servers cheap in Brazil? Basically Brazil has caused it's own problems in this case.

Like i said i dont agree with the 10GB cap but if what you say is true, you only have yourselves to blame for this implementation. You decided to go with Netflix and YouTube vs actual cable, and you became addicted to bandwidth.

If you lived in Canada 5 years ago, to be with bell or rogers with 50GB cap would of been a minimum of $50 plus fees, could knock it down in a bundle but the bundles would normally reach over 150 a month. Once you go beyond dial-up speed does not matter but bandwidth. I'm with neither, i'm with a 3rd party reseller. Bell does not even sell my speed anymore, they are now forcing all new clients to go with the more expensive fiber.

Based on their current site you get 15 down for $25 CAD, I personally would love that, i pay nearly twice the amount for half the speed and thats the cheapest plan for me where i live. Now i dont know how much you pull in... but the easiest solution is cut your cable and cut netflix, limit youtube to only uploading.

10GB is doable, if you have control. Which by the sounds of it Brazilian citizens dont... I live off my phone, my home might have 400GB but my phone only has 5GB i rarely go over it.(i dont get penalized, just limited)

Best way of hurting them is their pocket book, get a bandwidth app on to your computer find what you can cut, and try stay with in the limits. Thats all you can do (next to leaving the country)

And whoever said Brazil has continuous download speeds? Have "unlimited" connection is one thing but our services have never been reliable enough to even compare to the quality in countries such as Canada or the US. Out of all the ISPs only two are still going to provide unlimited connection and given the recent events involving the ISPs and streaming services, absolutely no one (not even specialists) believe it has anything to do with strain on servers. Until it was bought by VIVO, for example, GVT invested heavily on their infrastructure to live up to their promise of always delivering 100% of the contracted bandwidth to their clients and they always did. It was a considerably pretty good quality in comparison to the others. It only changed recently after VIVO's acquisition. So no. It was not a matter of infrastructure.

I need a new modem so I lose connection constantly, so I know how that feels...

However if one provider has good quality till a acquisition it sounds like a infrastructure issue for consistency.

They may claim the cap is to help invest/repair but like the pace I live in it's just for more money grab (the local not municipality gov takes for investing in future repairs, but claims it has no money)

Also others might of followed due to bullying by the original one

Much like how bell and Rogers is in the mobile internet landline services, what they say usually goes
