  1. I'm really enjoying driving around Utah, for me it's the road layouts that make me want to go there more and more.
  2. I never said that... I'm well aware that slots change. "/mute 1752" mutes the player who is occupying slot 1752, the player who is occupying that slot gets unmuted if you restart the game and he's still occupying that slot, or if they restart and get a different slot. Let me clarify when I say perm mute, when you "/pmute 1752", whoever is in that slot you get the TruckersMP ID of that player who is in the slot and you won't hear that player again, if someone else occupies 1752 you'd hear them. When a Game Moderator bans the player who is in slot 1752, it doesn't mean that nobody can use slot 1752 again would it? ?
  3. Currently I shut off the CB or switch channels if I get someone over the CB who "ate their mic". However, that makes it impossible for me to catch those players who abuse the CB by playing their music over it. A /mute command would help. Also it would help if all it took was a number as an argument to mute someone (/mute 45, /mute 1752... etc). Something to add on to this is that the mutes are only good during the session, the players will get unmuted after you restart your game, but I'd also like to see a "Perm Mute" so if someone cussed you out on the CB for example , you can perm mute them so you don't hear from them anymore (I'd report them too).
  4. I do agree that /fix should work for trailers. Having gone down the CD road many times (being a 5 year veteran), I've been in a few accidents that clearly were not my fault (and I would inevitably report the player who caused the accident and they'd get banned). I don't like having the feeling of pulling a damaged trailer to my drop off when it wasn't me who damaged it. This would be beneficial for those new players who all the sudden find themselves in the path of those trolls on the road, currently if a troll strikes their trailer and the trailer gets so severely damaged... tough luck, they'd hardly make any money from their job. If we have a /fix command for trailers they can fix their trailer in those situations. That's why we'd have a cooldown just like the /fix command has right now. Plus if a player has a near perfect journey the difference in payment between your trailer having 5% damage and no damage is not very substantial to the point where it'd be abuse.
  5. @Prime Alright, fellas, this is hot off the press from SCS Software, posted September 12th: They will be releasing Oregon for ATS at some point in October 2018, the wait is coming to a close for that state! Which means we have at minimum 2 weeks left to wait, and at maximum 6 weeks left to wait. http://blog.scssoft.com/2018/09/oregon-rising.html No news on when Baltic DLC will be released for ETS2 yet...
  6. I like both DLC's, most ATS players have complained why SCS decided to do New Mexico before they did Oregon because New Mexico is a "Brown State". I'd like to see SCS do Utah or even perhaps Washington state as the next state after Oregon.
  7. If I'm rammed in-game I do report in-game first, then I do a /pinfo in game. However, if the player that rammed me quits the game before I can do /pinfo, then I can't get his TruckersMP ID via that command. That's when your logs come in handy! When you get out of the game head to your Documents/ETS2MP/logs. You'll see a bunch of log files in there, in order to get the ones for today, sort by date from newest first. The logs for that day will appear on top. The log file you're specifically after has this name format: log_spawning_day.month.year. I recommend opening this is Notepad++ and you can find the player that rammed you based on your footage, their TruckersMP ID (TMPID) is in that file. Sample of that log file (if they had a trailer): [11:08:58] Spawning GameTruck (ibeastiy(3546) - TMPID: 805695 - Tag: He's my president #) Additional data: [11:08:58] Spawning GameTrailer (ibeastiy(3546) - TMPID: 805695 - Tag: He's my president #) Additional data: Sample of that log file (if they didn't have a trailer): [11:09:00] Spawning GameTruck (MarcineQ(1696) - TMPID: 1254517 - Tag: ) Additional data:
  8. Very nice idea, however, if someone spams messages there should be like a couple minutes of cooldown before that pop-up goes off again.
  9. I'd say avoid the rush areas if you don't have a machine that can handle it, some of the nasty collisions are part of someone lagging and then we get a pile of trucks stopped.
  10. This could also just be Calais being what's it's known to be, lol. Not saying this isn't a bug just making a joke.
  11. I'm going to college currently and I'm pursuing Software Development. The next class I take for it would have a lot of learning Python involved.
  12. You chat on the CB by holding down X. The mod will send out the sound from your microphone, provided the settings are setup correctly. You can change CB channels by clicking either side of the biggest button the CB. The way you bring up your cursor is by hitting Tab and right click to bring up your cursor. Another way to change CB channels is with "/channel [number]" in the chat. The CB currently doesn't display the correct channel when you do that command but your CB channel will change. You can turn off the CB by clicking on one of the smaller knobs on the CB.
  13. Not sure if this would be a great command, I think it takes too much realism away from the game being this is a simulator.
  14. I've had the same issue when I connect to ETS2 EU2 and I spawn in Calais. What I've noticed happened is I load into my truck and as the trucks are working on spawning, the game crashes. After I restarted the computer the problem subsided, don't know if that was a fluke that time...
  15. Not very many people play ATS, those from the US play it a lot. I think one of the reasons why ATS isn't very popular is because ATS is still a "Work-In-Progress", when TruckersMP starts having high traffic on the ATS servers then I think that's when more servers such as EU2 or even US2 would be necessary.
  16. I see where you're coming from, but in my opinion, the CD road is just like any other road just with a high volume of traffic, while it is forbidden a good citizen helps someone get out of their sticky situation. Overtaking on the CD road is kickable (and can be bannable depending on the moderator), it becomes bannable if that overtaker causes an accident/close call, until it becomes bannable no matter what, be a nice citizen and help them get back onto the right side of the road. I still don't want to be involved in their accident. There are 4 levels of zoom in ETS2 on your map, (1 being fully zoomed in, 4 being fully zoomed out), while on level 3 you can see farther ahead and see who's coming, when you see someone coming you can slow down and let the person to your left back over. Take it from the veteran driver.
  17. So You want to take a trip down the CD Road? Before You hit the CD Road: Quick Save! Find a suitable spot to stop... such as a repair station, gas station, or the yard that you pick up your trailer from and quick save there. That way if you do get Rammed, Trolled, etc on the CD road... you have a safe spot to roll the game back to. The game does autosave but it often does it while on the road. If you restore your game to an autosave then it's very likely you'll be in the middle of the road. I'm aware that there is ghost mode, but (as far as I know) there isn't a way to tell if someone is currently in ghost mode. Fill it up! Get your truck fueled before you hit the CD Road, this keeps you from stopping at the gas/petrol stations on the road and have to deal with all that traffic in those small stations... For the traffic traveling west on the CD Road, there isn't a gas station on your side of the road until just before Calais. For the eastbound traffic, there isn't a gas station until after you pass into Germany (could be wrong but it's somewhere around there). Can Your Computer Handle it?! Remember where you're going.... the CD road is known for being an area of high traffic, and not everyone has a computer that can handle it... so simply ask yourself... "Can my computer handle it?" If you don't think so, find an alternate route. A way to find this out would be to teleport to a city that has a moderate amount of traffic (such as Dortmund). If your framerate is below 45 FPS with only 20-30 people nearby, don't get onto the CD Road. If you do take the CD road and your computer is struggling (you're only getting 15 FPS), you'll appear extremely laggy to everyone else, which can cause serious problems. While On the CD Road: Remain Alert! Those trolls can come out of nowhere, after many trips down the CD road I've learned that the hard way... Remember the Inappropriate Overtaking Rule! Game Moderators have said that in areas of high traffic (anywhere where there are 20 or more people on your tab menu), overtaking is forbidden. You probably saw those broadcasts reminding everyone that overtaking is forbidden on the CD Road. That's simply because of the high traffic volume during peak times. People do overtake when they really shouldn't (they may think they're more important), but you should try to help them get back on the right side of the road. If there's a truck coming and you see they speed up, you slow down. If they slow down, you speed up, the goal is to get them back on the right side of the road as quickly as possible. If they hit you while trying to move back onto the right side of the road, then that's either considered Ramming or Dangerous Driving depending on how much damage you take. Never turn left into a gas station! Chances are you'll be blocking opposing traffic with your trailer. Also, gas station traffic moves with the closest lane, so in order to go in properly, you're basically making a U-turn to go in, and then a U-turn to go out. I cannot count the number of times I got blocked from someone turning left into a gas station right in front of me forcing me to stop... Someone is laggy in front of me! Keep your distance (150m or more) and be prepared to stop. Make sure you're recording! There's always a chance you'll run into someone breaking the rules on the CD road, have your camera running. Now, I've seen people say things like "2018 rec" or "1206 ban". There really isn't a point to saying that. You don't need to tell them that you're going to report them, that just causes drama in the chat, in my opinion. They'll get what's coming to them... However, there are some offenses that are only kickable, and others are bannable. Carefully review the footage and ask yourself the question before you report someone... "If I was a Game Moderator, would I ban this person?" Last but not least... Drive Safe!
  18. They made an exception to the car with trailer rule, cars are not allowed to pull trailers, with the exception with the caravan
  19. That wouldn't be a bad idea, switching channels with buttons on our keyboard or even our steering wheel would be very beneficial.
  20. Out of curiosity, does that mean you don't have to be another role first before you become a Game Moderator? or do you still need to be another role before Game Moderator?
  21. I actually noticed this bug first when ATSMP was first released for the game update of the green arrows (either 1.2 or 1.3). The admins had said that this is a known issue and has already been brought to the admins. When one direction shows a green light and arrow, the opposing direction showing the same thing is a bug. It's simply the way the traffic lights are synced, the system doesn't know that there's a green arrow in place now, it thinks it's still a regular light.
  22. The crashes seem to be pretty random though, they're not just on certain highways, roads, etc. I crash on server connect (as soon as I connect to the server, game crash) and I've also crashed just sitting still while connected to a trailer.
  23. So no more restarting the game when the connection gets broken huh? I love it.
