  1. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

As the event had concluded long ago, there is nothing we can do for the suggestion now. However, I can recall that numerous modifications were in place to tweak and assist the traffic flow in that area. That may have included negating the traffic lights.

  2. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

As highlighted by the other comments in this thread, the suggestion seems to be more tailored towards SCS Software, rather than us. Specifically, an update to the port and EuroTunnel area could come with the eventual UK remake, but we'll have to wait and see with that. In the mean time, please see the suggestions/wishlist section on SCS Software's forum, and see if others have suggested it already. If not, feel free to create one.

  4. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

As of September 2022, the city of Duisburg received a complete rework, by the Add-On Team. The new layout works in a one-way in, one-way out system, with both being at opposite ends. Leaving via the fuel station also requires a separate loop.

It seems this has fixed a lot of the congestion issues with traffic constantly flowing through the city. The intersection leading onto the C-D road now fits the size of a highway, featuring a 3-part collection of merges and cross-over points.

However, there is no need for traffic lights to be there anymore, due to the continuous flow of traffic from the city to the C-D road.

    Safe travels!

  6. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

As of March of this year, the timings of the AFK kick have been adjusted, exactly as you've written. They vary in relation to player count, and Patron status. A simple diagram explanation can be found here, and a similar explanation from another thread can be found here.

While there is no counter on-screen to show how long is left as per your original suggestion, you are able to check which setting for the counter is in use, by using the /server command when in-game. It will give a result, like this.

Ironically, if you were unsure on how long you had been AFK up to that point, typing it or any other command would reset the counter anyway.

  9. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

As of September 2022, the city of Duisburg received a complete rework, by the Add-On Team. As a result, the particular industries in your example either no longer exist, or are no longer in those positions. Traffic flow in and out of industries has improved, as a result of the layout rework, though. It seems this has fixed a lot of the general congestion issues with traffic constantly flowing through the city, too.

  11. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

As of writing, the images and link are no longer available, but I recall seeing this around the time it was posted. The trailer looks great! This may be something to consider for TMP10, or generally in the future. 👀

In the past, for example with 2021's Christmas Convoy, a custom paintjob was included, for participants of the event. It is a great way to allow users to show support, and many do appreciate it.

Currently, you're able to show your support by decorating your truck and trailer with a series of accessories, from an ever-growing collection created by the Add-On Team.

  12. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

While that is a great idea, we feel it may not be necessary to host on an official level.

However, many VTCs and groups often host their own truckfests, with prizes available, such as a Steam gift card, for example.

VTCs can also host such competitions within their own companies, resulting in the winner receiving a role, or having a picture of their truck being showcased on their page.

If this interests you, feel free to check out the Events section, and filter by "Event Type", for any upcoming truckfests or gatherings.

As of the 23rd March, the brightness of the HUD has increased. We hope this made the text and map easier to identify while driving.

As of the 5th June, a simplified version of the HUD was released, without the mini-map display, and just having the text. Beneficial for those that want to enjoy a streamlined appearance.

As of the 16th May, the "Zoom Crash Fix" mod has been natively supported on the ProMods server. You do not need to download it yourself. Thankfully, it has successfully fixed the various crash issues caused by zooming into the map.

Any crashes that may occur for other reasons, will still need to be reported to the appropriate teams.

  16. Hello,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

As of the 10th July 2022, buses have been implemented to TruckersMP via a partnership with DBus World. Information on the release can be found here.

To assist players with the installation and features included with this addition, such as creating custom routes, and loading passengers akin to taking a regular job, we've created some knowledge base articles.

"How to Install" and "Creating Custom Bus Lines"

We hope you've had a chance to experience the buses since their addition.

JOB. All the Moderators are Volunteers   They do not get paid for this work many do it too help the community grow. I cant understand the logic in just giving more work. Logic prevails.

" So unless you're unfortunate enough to come across a troll,"

Well tonight i came across a good 10 to 15 people just ramming though traffic and not giving a dam, because guess what they get a slap on the wrist now. I agree with your point that on the network trolls do exist but just tonight I've noticed trolling from ramming (Collisions) , CB abuse.. Yes i could report all these but I do not come on a game to sit and report people all evening and I should not having to be reporting players which CANNOT behave and follow the rules even AFTER they have had a second chance.

In changing the rules you have made all the trolls and bullies which have caused havoc in the past a free rain to come back and do it all over again. A lovely middle finger to all the staff which spend hours of UNPAID time improving the community. I'm sure you will see an increase in reports but i guess your perception on this follows "Moderators will have to do their job".

This will only drive users to break the rules because they know that in 90 days they can come back and do it all over again (Trolling) Although I know this will have been thought about for a length of time but it does seem very confusing are we just encouraging people to misbehave and just get away with it with a slap on the wrist.

This rule change will send people away from the community, This will just allow more trolls and your more valued members will dwindle away over time.

This is very true not everyone can play the game to your liking but when these people are causing problems every 90 days will moderators want to be dealing with the same people, Uploading evidence, Dealing with the appeals. It just feels like a easy cop out to get the player numbers up which like I said earlier its going to drive the genuine players away when they get fed up of trolls.

These are decent points, offering some balance, at least, from how I'm reading it. The amount of replies here that are still feeling the amount of "trolls" that may return will be on par to the last wave of a zombie survival game. While that would be interesting to imagine, it's quite a stretch. The example of driving in the busy areas, you will indeed see more people.

As I mentioned in my other reply, that may vary at peak times and weekends, and so on. Not all of that increased traffic may be depicted as "trolls". The ones that are, can be reported. We'll be around, there may be an increase in reports over time, but its nothing we haven't had before. At no point has an increase in players in this way made the game unplayable. It may have blocked C-D for a while, but C-D isn't the entire map (to most people :kappa:).

In your case, you and many others may choose not to report everything you see, ban-able or not. That would indeed reduce what comes into the system, or perhaps another player would report them instead. The facilities are there, though. They will be used at some point. This will be fine.

The extended duration part has been suggested I'm sure, various alternatives like 6 months, 1 year etc.

True, but i can expect everyone to play the game in a way that abides by the rules no?

Many of us would appreciate others to behave, of course. It helps people get along. But, its just the nature of gaming and the internet overall. Even in shooter games, capturing the "flag", for example. The objective seems quite logical, yet others do their own things, besides the actual objective. The team may suffer or lose the round as a result, but it just happens. The percentage of people that do this is very small compared to the ones that play for the actual objective. The same applies here. You'll find more trolls within the base map, we know that. You may find some outside it. If you encounter 10 trolls in an hour, for example, that may just be bad luck, or "wrong place, wrong time". It doesn't mean there are that many everywhere you go. I hope that makes sense.

I've seen a few staff members saying in this thread that the change could be overruled for obvious bad-intentioned players, and that's absolutely a good sign, but I think that what a lot of people seem to be taking issue with (myself included) is that this isn't really very well explained in the rules/update post. It simply states that subsequent bans will be 90 days and leaves it at that, with other options explained in other parts of the rules. If there was a clarification that people obviously playing with bad intentions may still be permanently banned it would ease a lot of concern that we're just going to see trolls coming back time and time again.

My initial response to this was incredibly negative, and I'm still quite concerned, but it is massively reassuring to see so many moderators stating that it can be overruled. I just hope that mods/staff aren't afraid to still issue a permanent ban when it seems appropriate. With fewer and fewer players it will only become more noticeable when those truckers you do come across are acting in bad faith.

Those statements refer just for 2.8. As in, subsequent bans under 2.8 only. It can appear like a loop, but if other factors do become involved, other rules such as 2.9 can step in, as Jeronimo had said. Upon reading those rules, it still states that such measures can be implemented at any time, if deemed necessary.

They are still around on discord known as IFMP ( infinite truckers ), mainly because they can massage their ego's & power trip 24/7. People talk about TMP in there get shut down & treated badly for no reason other than " because they can " & " what you gonna do about it ". Development wise they never came up with anything besides a website of which half the links didn't do anythng, oh & the various long winded posts on " progress " or lack of it!

Its a unpleasent community over there, literally everyone i know who checked it out said the same as i have!

Nah, HGV and IFMP are different. The members working on each may have blended at times, and some are now part of our team, but they were different projects working towards making an alternative MP. IFMP is indeed not much now, and somewhat over the internet, though they may have a discord and such.

They couldn't or didn't want to go back to TMP, because from what I've read on facebook, many (if not all) said goodbye to TMP, and that's why I'm telling you The admins (I repeat, if not all) are too inefficient, as I said before they ban you because you have fps or latency problems and at this moment, where I am writing to you now, there are 2582 players, my question is since you tell me that "They couldn't", you don't think that people HAVE ALREADY UPDATED at 1.40, because from what I see many people are at 1.41 and it is because they DO NOT want to return to TMP, for all the points I told you And with respect to HGVMP, if he resigned it is true, but it was because you They boycotted them for that reason that HGVMP resigned and regarding the latter, and as far as I know they showed the multiplayer to SCS, why do you think that SCS did not take almost anything to do the multiplayer convoy? And you have to admit (even if it hurts) convoy multiplayer is much, much, much better than TMP

You seem to be drifting off course with that reply, as it contains a lot of assumptions.

The audience on Facebook does contain many loyal players of TMP and the games themselves, but it's nothing to purely go by in terms of opinions. The same sometimes goes for the replies on Twitter.

Bans for connection issues can be Appealed, same way anything you feel is not correct, can be.

Many indeed have updated, and switched to Convoy. I am not saying that's an issue. That's alright. People can choose what to play. It's always a few people that go "this is better, that is it". Opinions, yes. Not facts.

Personally, I have not tried Convoy yet. I may do at some point to give my own thoughts, but what it has so far is good, for smaller collections of players to enjoy themselves. See the difference?

The HGVMP thing, you seem to have made up a lot of that. They provided reasons why they stepped down, they're found somewhere online now, as it was a year or so ago. SCS may have had this plan for a while. No one "sent" the idea.

Seems this draws that to a close, before it goes further off topic.
