^ Load the game on Single Player, complete the tutorial and a job or two before launching into Multiplayer. -
Have you also tried to see if anyone else can hear you in-game? May be just your friend that cannot hear you.

Does this happen on Single Player as well, or just Multiplayer? Have you got anything running in the background that you think may cause it? Any recent system changes or applications installed since you first noticed this happening? And also have you tried to re-install your game and/or multiplayer? Hopefully we can help identify the cause of this issue soon!

upgrade from 32 bit ets2mp to truckers mp

Single player loads? How are you launching the game? The installer should of added a shortcut to your desktop to launch multiplayer.

I understand where you're coming from with this, but personally I don't see the suggestion being accepted. The majority of players would complain they can't connect due to full servers at peak times. Unless EU1 and 2 were increased to support more players each then possibly yes it would work.

It's an interesting one, as some say the freeze could be abused, even though there's still quick save and alt+tab. However for now there are many screen recording applications you can use to take screenshots instead of F12.
