  1. If you're making a response in Help (not if you're creating a topic there), it can take some time before your post will appear because it needs to be moderated before your post is shown. If you are talking about helpful posts, you can post in threads in the Help section that offer help to someone who has problems which can help you increase your reputation and build your knowledge of the topic area. If you're talking about posts in general, only on-topic posts (e.g. Multiplayer Discussion etc) count. You can post in an off-topic thread but posts there won't count towards your overall number. But anyways, welcome to the forums!
  2. Your computer can also lag when you are in Rotterdam because it's full of players (usually around 50 players on average) and with a lot of players you will expect to see lag. If you know your computer can't handle Rotterdam very well, stay away from it if possible. You can always disable features in-game that increase your RAM usage overall.
  3. Hello and welcome to the forums! The directory in your screenshot is correct, however there is no need to have created a ETS2MP folder inside that directory. It needs to be just Euro Truck Simulator 2 inside SteamApps/common and that's it. So, try reinstalling your game and deleting the ETS2MP files you put in there.
  4. Try launching the game from an administrator account. If it doesn't work you can always reinstall Multiplayer and verify the game's cache as well just to be on the safe side of things.
  5. ^ Many thanks web developer for finding out the technicalities behind this suggestion. I think your statement could also explain why this suggestion was suggested 65536 times (I put that number just for fun because it isn't really 65536!) and was rejected. We don't know of any breakthroughs since this (or something similar) was first suggested and rejected. That's something to add on my -1 scorecard for this suggestion.
  6. Having fun in Going East! that's why I'm so addicted to the DLC areas because you're feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere...

  7. Stay in the base map portion (the border between Going East! and base map is defined from Graz north up to Szczecin), so if you're near these cities, you know you're near the Going East! boundary. Your friend only has base game and if he wants to go into the Going East! areas he needs to have the DLC pack. The same goes for events (e.g. convoys) that pass through DLC areas. If you don't have the required DLC, you're not allowed to join the event (unless the event leader has a designated stopover point for those who don't have the DLC). Simple as that, no further explanation needed.
  8. There may be some speculation that Bratislava may no longer be a "mostly peaceful city" and may need to be changed to grey colour (normal density city) since it has become a lot busier, especially after the Steam sales. I am also going to visit some Going East! cities and ets2map.com to verify if any of the Going East! cities also need changing from white to grey if they are busy. Let's wait until the start of the school term before any changes to the map can be made and then we can make a decision together.
  9. I love Kalmar because it has six companies making it a strategically important logistics center for me. It's also the quietest and most peaceful city in the Scandinavia expansion pack which I like more than being in Rotterdam in the base map. I even thought about relocating my headquarters to Kalmar!

      Scandinavia does have it´s gems..

I like Going East too. Maybe even more than Scandinavia. Shame there aren't that many trucks in-game.

Elliot_BE, I absolutely agree with your opinion about Scandinavia. You have E22 highway that passes through the city, and you have the road going west to Vaxjo which opens up the transport lines to Norway and Denmark from Kalmar respectively.

Actually, Kalmar is a "mostly peaceful city" (colored white) on Scania970's dangerous places map.

  10. A few hours ago I did a delivery from Esbjerg to Pecs in Hungary. When I arrived in Pecs, I noticed that it was a ghost town (like most other Going East! cities). Barely anyone comes to Pecs but I actually like it because it offers a relaxed atmosphere and it's a place to hang out for the intrepid explorer.

  11. Suggested 65536 times and has been rejected every single time. It's unlikely that this one won't be rejected either. Unfortunately, I have thought that it's definitely a -1 because trolls are going to take over the streets, the purpose of that is completely wasted for legitimate players who need to reconnect after an AFK kick. Interesting concept though.
  12. Mr OP, you need to wait for a ban appeal decision to be made by the banning IGA, end of story. Just as a reminder, please do not create any more threads about your ban appeal. If you have a problem with an admin, feel free to PM Clarkinator or I<3VODKA about your issue: http://forum.ets2mp.com/index.php?/user/757-clarkinator/ http://forum.ets2mp.com/index.php?/user/10-i3vodka/
  13. Unfortunately, it's not possible to use custom trailers at this time. I think that these were meant to be implemented in MP however physics updates by SCS completely broke the possibility to use custom trailers in Multiplayer.
  14. If you don't like playing on a 2300 player server, you can always play on a different server if you wish. Also if you're playing on a low end PC, you are going to experience performance issues on a highly populated server because of just how much RAM ETS2MP is consuming, just like if you were to play single player. Otherwise, I am going to leave it to you to make your issue more clearer because if I can't see exactly what's wrong with your game, then there's little I can do to help you more than this.
  15. One tip for OP: Try to complete the delivery in one go because breaking up your journey and restarting it later will cause your delivery to be late since the time is synced to always keep moving. If you (unavoidably) have to break up your journey, don't forget to cancel your load (which will cost you €12,000) and take a load from your nearest city.
  16. Try launching ETS2MP with admin privileges, that should solve the problem
  17. You can submit a support ticket on http://ets2mp.com/supportwhere a member of the support team may be able to help you further in this case.
  18. Check in the DLC tab in ETS2 by right clicking on "Euro Truck Simulator 2" in Steam, then Properties, and then go into the DLC tab and make sure that the DLCs that you need are checked otherwise you won't be able to play ETS2 with the DLC addon. If that doesn't work, reinstall single player and the associated DLCs and also reinstall ETS2MP. If you have further problems, there's always the Support team as well as Steam Support and SCS forums that you can speak to.
  19. Wait for a space in the server to clear up or you can connect to EU#5 in the meantime.
  20. There is no way that you can reconnect to the server after an autokick for AFK. You will have to restart ETS2MP, I'm afraid.
  21. Very recently, my member title has been changed from "What is truck?" to "I can drive!" which makes a huge difference over the coming posts and I am going to keep it up with more helpful posts over the coming days!

If you want the "I can drive!" tag you have to have at least 65 posts on the forum and since my feed post about wanting to become a moderator a month ago, I am willing to increase my involvement in the Help section of the forums. I've still got 21 months before I can apply so a lot can change within that time. I will continue to be active with regards to suggestions because that's what I like to do on the forums.

      Let's get EU1, EU2, EU3 and EU5 full!

  23. You have selected "temporary_1_22" instead of Opt out, that's why yours doesn't work. As a precaution, try clearing your game cache as well. If you're still experiencing the problem, post below.
  24. ^ I don't really seem to see any issues from my side at the moment. Now that you have posted the information that's needed, if you're still experiencing the issues I'll try to clear up the confusion and figure out your next step. Before I say that. you can reinstall ETS2MP and also try closing any RAM-consuming programs. If your ping is 6ms to your nearest server, try pinging the Gravelines server (the location of the EU servers) on http://speedtest.net/.
  25. PC specs are always useful information if you're determining whether it's your ping to the server or whether is the computer itself. As a precautionary measure, check on your hardware manufacturer's website to see if there is a later driver that you can use since some users have experienced slightly better (if not excellent) results than on a older driver. Are you using a VPN connection to play ETS2MP? That's another reason why your game may be slow. If your ping to the server is very high (400+ms), you may consider playing on another server that may be nearer to you. Post your findings below and I'll try and figure out your next steps.
