I have become an adrenaline junkie because I get close to danger and find it quite interesting to see what can happen. I just delivered a load to Calais from Scandinavia, and I am willing to hatch another load from the danger zone, no matter what the risks are.
-
130 people in Duisburg - I honestly think that the load there has been taken from the people who escaped from Scandinavia due to the high numbers of double trailers there.
-
When you know you're in Dusseldorf but tempted to go to Duisburg service or the C-D road...
-
New updates - we now advise against all travel to Bergen after there have been reports of 100 players present in the city, as well as the heavy influx of double trailer jobs present in Bergen, which can lead to increased trolling caused from the trailers getting stuck exiting depots around the city.
Rest of Scandinavia - travel advice has not changed.
-
I do apologise if I am mocking the ETS2MP administration by using "we" - this is just more my opinion so it is a little bit misleading. I am here to give the information on traffic in Scandinavia based on sources and current situation but I should be more careful in the phrases and terms that I use next time.
-
And one more thing, on your ETS2 traffic data page I noticed that Jonkoping was with the Italian cities, when Jonko is in Sweden. When you have the time, perhaps could you have a look at it?

Traffic updates for Scandinavia for 23rd August:
Norway:
- Traffic has deteriorated in Stavanger with heavy amounts of traffic around the southeastern and northwestern side. The travel level has raised - exercise a high degree of caution in Stavanger.
- Bergen continues to receive dangerously high amounts of traffic, with queues building up on the E16 highway heading into the city. The Bergen to Oslo road is also receiving an increased amount of traffic. We now advise against all but essential travel on the E16 highway from Bergen to Oslo. We continue to advise against all but essential travel to Bergen and Oslo.
- Continue to exercise normal safety precautions in Kristiansand.
Sweden:
- Traffic is building up around the normal hotspots (Gothenburg, Malmo, Stockholm and Jonkoping) but the rest of Sweden has remained relatively stable. The travel level has not changed - exercise a high degree of caution in Gothenburg, Jonkoping and Stockholm and defer non-essential travel to Malmo.
Denmark:
- In most places around Denmark, there has been a slight lull in traffic in many places, including Odense, but traffic is on the rise in the Aalborg area. Continue to exercise a high degree of caution in Odense and Aalborg.
-
Although the situation is going to calm down in a few days I am going to provide a traffic update right now on Scandinavia.
Norway:
- Bergen and Oslo are incredibly busy with 55 and 70 players respectively. The travel advice for Bergen and Oslo has changed. We advise against all but essential travel to those cities due to the heavy amount of stuck double trailers and to exercise a high degree of caution on the tunnel road south of Oslo.
- Figures for Stavanger and Kristiansand have remained relatively steady.
Sweden:
- Traffic figures across Sweden have risen massively over the past 24 hours, particularly in Gothenburg, Malmo and Stockholm. The level of advice has changed. Exercise a high degree of caution in Gothenburg, Malmo, Jonkoping and Stockholm and watch out for double trailers exiting the depot in those cities.
Denmark:
- The travel advice for the area around Odense has now changed. Exercise a high degree of caution in the city due to the double trailers.
- Exercise a high degree of caution in Aalborg. Although the figures have remained steady from before the double trailers update, truck drivers continue to come there on a regular basis as a stopover point to and from Frederikshavn and Hirtshals.

Just noticed a massive rise in players across Scandinavia - my main base in Kalmar currently has 25 players

There were actually 80+ trucks in Bergen which was I think the record highest number of players the city has ever recorded in its two year history. Many other cities across Scandinavia also recorded their highest ever turnout of players, as Oslo peaked at about 70 players, Odense at 50 players and Stavanger at roughly 50 players.
Honestly, some of the cities in Scandinavia had higher truck numbers than Calais and Duisburg at one point.

If we were allowed to put up a sign, there should be a road sign coming up to the E20 turnoff for Esbjerg on the E45 south saying:
"ADVANCE NOTICE: Double trailers must exit onto E20"and another one at the junction itself saying "Double trailers prohibited on E45 South"
If the driver does go past that point the player can face a kick or ordered to F6 and Enter.
There should also be road signs for the ferries Esbjerg - Hull, Karlskrona - Gdynia, Trelleborg to Rostock, Gedser to Rostock and Nynashamn to Gdansk saying "No access for double trailers unless heading into Polaris Lines depot"

@Dj Jefferz Atlas GG Owner yes, that "similar zone" that you are talking about would cover every city and all roads in the base map, Going East and Vive la France, including the southern half of Scandinavian portion of the E45 highway, which the zone is defined from the E20 near Esbjerg down to the border with Germany.
When I meant "if we were allowed", I was talking as if SCS stopped supporting ETS2, which I highly doubt it's going to happen because of the huge popularity of the game.

I was thinking about doing a "danger zone" section of my trucking business, with a main garage of operations based in Groningen and two garage feeders in Calais and Duisburg. The purpose of operations is to do deliveries to and from Calais and Duisburg, both short and long-distance deliveries to/from those destinations.
The reason why I chose Groningen as the head base for that section instead of being based direct in Calais/Duisburg is because Groningen is a much safer place to be running head operations and it's the closest safe city to the danger zone. This leaves Calais and Duisburg as smaller-scale places where I can fast-travel to and hatch deliveries from.
-
Just to clarify - the operations are going to be to other destinations around the game map from those two places - these places will not be used for C-D road delivery runs.
By the way, entry into Duisburg and Calais will be tightly controlled depending on the players present (if there are over 100 players present in the city then entry may be denied). The routes used to get in and out will also be co-ordinated at the start of the journey or even beforehand.

Happy birthday! Keep up your fantastic work on your web projects (including your reformed ETS2MP traffic page) and in your position as a web developer for TruckersMP, work together with your fellow web devs to make sure that the websites work flawlessly.

Pulled off a load from Bergen to Duisburg without taking damage...
feel absolutely elated about that achievement.

Hello, after 15 months I am back. Long time no see.
I am going to do some more deliveries on ETS2MP (particularly long distance ones). I will be present on the EU1 server just as I usually were if you ever find me. I am still based in Kalmar as I did before that long break.
Becoming active on the forums again will still take a long time, but I am definitely up to the challenge to try and get back to my heavy-handed posting schedule that I used to have until January 2016.
The situation on the Calais-Duisburg road has gotten a lot worse during my absence and is now extremely dangerous for travel on EU2. If I ever get around to that server, avoiding that road at all costs is going to be essential to complete a job. The last time I was on the Calais-Duisburg (which was December 2015) the situation was not that bad and was just like any countryside road. The trolls started moving away from Rotterdam and started taking control of the C-D road - it's now a civil war between the IGAs and the players.
The situation on the Calais-Duisburg on EU1 has remained relatively peaceful, and EU3 has seen some sporadic clashes but was spared the worst.

There is not going to be a lot of activity on this profile until 06/17/2016 due to GCSE exams and other things to do during free time. So if you don't see anything new coming from me, please don't worry about it.
Planned absences from this forum beyond 06/17:
- There will be an absence between 08/22 and 08/29 due to preparations for GCSE results day coming on 08/25/16.
- There are going to be sporadic interruptions during 2016 - 2017 due to other academic commitments.
So I'm sorry if I can't get in touch with you during this time of the season, but education has to take over everything else I'm afraid.

The ETS2 EU#1 population appears to be dwindling down because at 1:00pm there was only 600 players online compared to 1,300 on EU#2. Might be partially due to personal things by players but also the interest by some players in ATSMP. If this keeps up we might only get 1,400 players on EU#1 at the busiest time and more coming on EU#2.

I wonder if there has ever been any day where Rotterdam was near-empty (like less than 15 players) during daylight hours? I know that Rotterdam is usually empty between 2am and 7am and by 9am things are usually very busy there (with 50+ players). And EP only has on average 3 - 5 players compared to the typical 20+ numbers we had at the start of the year.
