Mehmet_Ali_01 started following Rule-Free Arcade Server With Collisions , QA TOOL , Periodic (Monthly) Mandatory Rule Review System and 2 others
-
Hi everyone, While calmly driving a truck in the single-player mode of the game, I pressed CTRL+F11 to open a screen recording from Steam, and this is what I saw. Could we get banned because of the tool called "QA TOOL" shown in the picture? I would appreciate it if the Game Moderation Manager (GMM) responded to this post.

Making ETS2 Simulation Servers More Engaging and Active
Mehmet_Ali_01 replied to Mehmet_Ali_01's topic in New
Those who play Counter-Strike 2 know this: I live in Turkey and when I join a CS 2 match, I usually connect to the Frankfurt server, but the transfer happens via Vienna. The same logic might apply here; when Asian or American players join a Simulation 1 server, the transfer might happen via Asia or North America. -
I don't have to play in convoy mode; I can play wherever I want. If I wanted to play in convoy mode, I wouldn't be writing this suggestion here.

Suggestion Name: Implementing Periodic (Monthly) Mandatory Rule Review Suggestion Description: Currently, the rule review popup only appears once when a player first installs and logs into the game. I am proposing that this system be updated to appear periodically—for example, on the 15th of every month. When the player clicks the "Login" button on these specific days, a mandatory rule summary should be displayed. The login process should only proceed after a brief mandatory waiting period (e.g., 5-10 seconds) or after the player scrolls and clicks an "I have re-read and agree to the rules" button. Any example images: None Why it should be added: * Addressing the "Once-Is-Not-Enough" Problem: While the current system shows rules to new players, many veteran users forget specific regulations over months or years of play. Periodic reminders ensure that long-term players stay as informed as newcomers. * Eliminating the "I Forgot" Excuse: Regular monthly popups remove any ambiguity regarding rule knowledge. This ensures that every player on the server has been recently exposed to the official guidelines, leading to a more disciplined driving environment. * Efficiently Communicating Rule Updates: When rules are changed or updated, the current "first-time only" system fails to notify existing players effectively. A monthly popup provides a guaranteed window to highlight any recent changes to the entire community at once. * Reducing Moderation Workload: By reinforcing rule awareness every month, the frequency of "accidental" violations like minor blocking or incorrect overtaking decreases. This allows Game Moderators to focus on more serious, intentional offenses rather than common mistakes caused by lack of memory. NOTE: THIS IS A SUGGESTION

Suggestion Name: Addition of Instagram Profile Link to Web External Connections Suggestion Description: I am formally proposing the addition of a dedicated field for Instagram within the TruckersMP website profile settings, specifically under the "External Connections" section. Currently, users can link certain social platforms, but Instagram is missing as a standardized option. This feature would allow users to input their Instagram handle or direct profile URL in their website settings. Once saved, a clickable Instagram icon should be displayed exclusively on the user’s public TruckersMP web profile, providing a clean and official way to showcase their external social presence. Any example images: N/A Why it should be added: * Centralizing the Virtual Truck Photography Community: A large portion of the TruckersMP community shares high-quality screenshots of their trucks on Instagram. Since there is currently no official slot for this, players often have to clutter their profile bios with links. Adding a dedicated Instagram button on the web profile would organize this creative content and make it easier for the community to discover each other's work. * Professionalism for Virtual Trucking Companies (VTCs): VTCs use Instagram as a primary tool for branding and recruitment. Allowing an official link on their TruckersMP web profile would provide a more professional image, enabling potential recruits to view a company's activity and fleet aesthetic with one click. * Improving Profile UI Clarity: Many players try to fit their social media handles into their limited profile description space. A dedicated social media slot would free up this space for actual player bios, resulting in a much cleaner, more structured, and modernized web profile interface. * Fostering Positive Community Connections: Being able to view a fellow driver’s gallery through their web profile helps humanize the players. When users can see the time and effort others put into their vehicle designs and virtual journeys, it encourages a more respectful and connected community environment. NOTE: THIS IS A SUGGESTION.

Suggestion Name: TAB Settings: Implementation of Toggleable Real-Time Speed Display for All Players. Suggestion Description: I am formally proposing the introduction of a feature that allows all players to visualize the real-time speed of nearby users—a functionality that is currently a moderator-exclusive tool. This feature should not be a mandatory part of the standard HUD; instead, it should be integrated as a highly customizable and optional setting within the TruckersMP interface menu, accessible via the 'Tab' key settings. Once toggled on by the user, the current speed (e.g., 90 km/h or 110 km/h) of surrounding vehicles would be displayed as a dynamic data tag positioned next to the player's ID and name tag above their truck, or alternatively as a dedicated informational column within the Tab player list. Making this information accessible to the entire community will significantly enhance transparency and mutual accountability on the road. Any example images: None Why it should be added: * Providing Irrefutable Evidence Against Malicious Acceleration During Overtaking: One of the most significant and frequent issues on the road occurs when a player attempts a legal overtake, but the driver being overtaken intentionally increases their speed to block the maneuver. This malicious behavior often forces the overtaking driver into a catastrophic head-on collision with oncoming traffic, frequently resulting in an unfair "Reckless Driving" ban for the victim due to a lack of visible speed data in the report. By making speed tags visible, any sudden and intentional spike in velocity by the driver being overtaken is captured as objective mathematical evidence in a video recording. This ensures that the "Blocking" rule is strictly enforced and protects innocent players from being penalized for the dangerous actions of others. * Eliminating Subjectivity and Improving the Quality of the Reporting System: Currently, many player-submitted reports for "Reckless Driving" or "Blocking" are declined by the moderation team under the justification of "insufficient evidence" because visual estimation of speed in a video is highly subjective. If real-time speed data is visible within the user interface, it provides Game Moderators with concrete data points during the review process. This removes the guesswork and allows the moderation team to see exactly how a player’s speed fluctuated during an incident, leading to a much more accurate, fair, and consistent application of the server rules. * Community-Led Detection of Speed Exploits and Illegal Modifications: Although the servers have built-in speed limiters, some users still utilize unauthorized engine modifications, software exploits, or "speed-hacks" to bypass these restrictions. By allowing the entire community to see real-time speeds, it becomes significantly easier for players to identify, document, and report those who are operating outside the server's technical limits. This decentralized monitoring acts as a powerful deterrent against cheating and ensures a level playing field for all simulation enthusiasts. * Enhancing Situational Awareness and Scientific Traffic Safety: High-fidelity simulation requires more than just visual cues; it requires precise information. When a player has access to the exact speed of an oncoming truck or the vehicle they are following, they can make significantly more accurate calculations regarding safe following distances and overtaking windows. This move from "estimating" to "knowing" speeds will drastically reduce the frequency of high-speed pile-ups and head-on collisions, especially in notorious bottleneck areas, by encouraging safer, data-driven driving behaviors. NOTE: THIS IS A SUGGESTION.

Let's say you're racing against a friend and you want the race to be realistic, but what's this! The arcade server you're using for the race has collisions disabled. Collisions are necessary for a realistic race. As a result, racing on simulation and promods servers is prohibited, so you can't do it there. Also, this collision-enabled server will be added as an alternative to the existing Arcade (collision-disabled) server, meaning you can continue playing on the collision-disabled server if you don't want to use the other one.

Suggestion Description: I want to emphasize that the player counts on the ETS2 [US] Simulation and [Asia] Simulation servers are extremely low. These servers generally have far fewer active players compared to Simulation1 and Simulation2. This makes the servers feel nearly empty and reduces the quality of the multiplayer simulation experience. The primary goal of simulation servers is to provide players with a realistic and dynamic traffic environment. This goal can't be fully achieved when player populations are extremely low. Empty or low-player servers fragment the community and reduce overall interaction. Therefore, I propose shutting down the [US] Simulation and [Asia] Simulation servers and distributing their capacity equally between Simulation1 and Simulation2. This way, the community will be united across fewer servers, creating a more active and engaging simulation environment. This change won't eliminate the simulation game experience; on the contrary, it will provide fuller servers, increased traffic density, and a more engaging multiplayer experience. Additionally, server resources could be used more efficiently, reducing the need to manage multiple low-population servers separately. Example images: N/A Why it should be added: -The player count on the [US] Simulation and [Asia] Simulation servers is extremely low. -Empty servers are degrading the quality of the multiplayer experience. -Simulation 1 and 2 will become more active and crowded. -The simulation community will stay together. -Server resources can be used more efficiently.

Suggestion Description: I suggest adding a new server alongside the existing Arcade server. The current Arcade server should remain unchanged. However, in addition to it, a new server should be created where collisions are enabled but no driving rules are enforced. At the moment, the Arcade server has collisions completely disabled, meaning players can drive through each other without any physical interaction. While this is useful for some players, others may prefer a server where collisions are active but without the strict rule enforcement found in Simulation servers. This new server would provide a different style of gameplay. Players who want full realism and rules can continue playing on Simulation servers. Players who prefer no collisions can stay on the current Arcade server. Meanwhile, players who want collision physics but do not want rule enforcement would have a separate option. Any example images: N/A Why it should be added: This would increase player choice and satisfaction by offering more gameplay styles without affecting existing servers. It would also help keep Simulation servers more organized by giving rule-free players a dedicated place to play. NOTE: THİS İS JUST A SUGGESTİON

Suggestion Title: Rule 2.8 – Making the 5th Ban Duration More Proportional Suggestion Description: This suggestion concerns the ban duration system defined under Rule 2.8 (How bans are issued) and aims to improve proportionality and consistency in punishment escalation. Currently, the 5th ban results in a 90-day suspension, which represents a very sharp increase compared to previous ban levels. I propose adjusting the 5th ban duration to 60 days, while keeping the 6th and all subsequent bans at 90 days. This change would maintain the strict nature of the punishment system while ensuring a smoother and more balanced progression between ban stages. Reasons for Addition: The transition from the 4th ban to the 5th ban currently involves a disproportionately large increase in ban duration. A 60-day ban remains a serious and deterrent punishment, while being more proportional within the overall ban progression system. Keeping the 6th and subsequent bans at 90 days ensures that repeated and persistent rule violations continue to receive strong consequences. A more balanced escalation system may reduce the likelihood of players permanently disengaging from the platform while still enforcing discipline. This adjustment could improve the perception of fairness and consistency within the moderation system, strengthening trust between players and the moderation team. NOTE: THIS IS A SUGGESTION.

Suggestion Name: Restrict New TruckersMP Registrations from Steam Accounts with VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) Bans Suggestion Description: The purpose of this suggestion is to improve the overall security, fairness, and quality of the TruckersMP platform by preventing new registrations from Steam accounts that have an active VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) ban. This measure should apply only to newly registering accounts and must not affect existing TruckersMP users. The intention is preventive, not punitive. Any example images: Example of a Steam account with a VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) ban Why it should be added: VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) is Valve’s official anti-cheat system that permanently bans accounts confirmed to have used cheats in online multiplayer games. A VAC ban is a strong and verified indicator of past cheating behavior. Players who have cheated in one online environment are statistically more likely to repeat similar behavior in other games or platforms. Although TruckersMP does not rely on VAC directly, a VAC ban history can reasonably be considered a risk factor during new account registration. Allowing VAC-banned accounts to register may increase cheating attempts, repeated rule violations, disruption of fair gameplay, and the workload of the moderation team. If implemented, this suggestion could reduce the number of problematic players joining TruckersMP, improve multiplayer fairness and overall game quality, lower long-term moderation workload, and help create a safer and more trustworthy community environment. Additional Comments: This post is submitted as a suggestion only. The final decision regarding any changes or implementation rests entirely with the TruckersMP management and leadership team.
