Hey, @alexhob123! If your Discord profile simply shows that you are playing Euro Truck Simulator 2, it doesn't recognise any app that accesses the "Rich Presence" (RP) functionality and therefore only shows the active game it detects. SCS does not provide a Rich Presence for the standalone game which is likely what you are currently seeing on your profile. TMP however offers its own Discord Rich Presence feature that you can enable in the tab menu under "Settings" → "General" → "Discord Rich Presence". It will show up like this to friends and server members: If you want to have a more detailed Rich Presence, you will need to use third-party software that offers Rich Presence functionality. By the looks of the screenshot, your friend is using Trucky's Rich Presence. Trucky is a job tracker, VTC hub, and virtual trucking companion for ETS 2 and TMP. It will show up like this to friends and server members: Make sure that your Discord client settings allow activity sharing. You can check that it is enabled in your "User Settings" → "Activity Settings" → "Share my Activity". I hope this has helped you! Sweet regards, Tatsu

Hey, @iboss_xxbr3ttxx — welcome to the TMP Forum! This issue seems to be caused by your World of Trucks (WoT) account, not by your TruckersMP account. Being able to log-in on the TruckersMP sign-in prompt shows that your log-in credentials for TruckersMP are valid and do not need your direct attention. However, by the style of the user interface and the mention of World of Trucks on the error prompt, this issue is likely caused by the absence of a World of Trucks (WoT) account connected to your profile. If your TruckersMP credentials were incorrect, you would not be able to pass the first sign-in screen on the mod and would get a message similar to this: Here’s how you can "fix" this: Please note that you do not need a World of Trucks account linked to a career profile to play on TruckersMP. Adding a World of Trucks account only gives you access to "External Contracts" and other features that are provided by SCS, not TruckersMP. You can use TruckersMP without any problems in WoT's offline mode. Make sure you have a World of Trucks account and know the log-in info. If you do not have a WoT account, you can create one here by logging in with your Steam account. Navigate into the profile settings of your currently active profile on the main menu screen of Euro Truck Simulator 2. Choose your active profile and click "Edit Career". Look for the "World of Trucks account" tab under "Connectivity" and click the "Edit" button next to it. Enter your account name or email address and password that you used to create a World of Trucks account. Click "Connect" and wait for it to sync all profile info with ETS 2. I have also included four screenshots that visually show you how to connect a WoT account in case you decide to do so: I hope this has helped you! Warm regards, Tatsu

Hey there, @rikkertjuhNL! People are likely using special Unicode characters or Unicode character tricks to set special or unique-looking player tags. You can pretty much use any Unicode catalogue/app to choose these characters for yourself. Personally, I find Jesse Tane’s Unicode Overview, Compart’s catalogue or Window’s built-in “Character Map” program (usually comes pre-installed on every Windows machine) the best ones in terms of simple design or organisation. The characters you provided in the screenshot, while low in resolution, I believe to be the following: IPA Extensions – Latin Small Letter N with Retroflex Hook (U+0273) • ɳ IPA Extensions – Different Small Capital Letters (U+1D1B | U+0280 | U+1D1C | U+1D04 | U+1D0B | U+0299) • Tʀᴜᴄᴋ Cluʙ A bit of background information as to why some of the characters work while others show up as question marks: TruckersMP switched their default typeface from Open Sans to Noto Sans a while ago to allow for more diverse Unicode support. While Google’s Noto Sans looks very similar to Open Sans, it does a way better job at providing a clean and reliable typeface for almost every language in the world with a very extensive support for different Unicode characters. However, you will always come across symbols that are not supported in the current set of installed fonts. Packing support for every Unicode symbol into a single font file would cause the file to be really big, making it hard to ship bundled with the mod. In the past, I have experimented with some Unicode characters on TruckersMP and just went ahead to double check if the ones provided up there to still be supported. The special ɳ character you posted is still supported in-game and can be used as a player tag. I have also checked the Small Capital Letters (“Small Caps”) to be working just fine. In most cases, it is just trial and error with different Unicode characters until you find the ones that work. Generally, the more ‘common’ the symbols or their symbol blocks are (e. g. small capital letters), the more likely they are to be covered by the default Noto Sans character set: Small capital letters are quite common in typography so they are all covered by Noto Sans‘ character set. On the other hand – for example –, the Unicode character ᳄ (U+1CC4, Sundanese Punctuation Bindu Leu Satanga) is not all too common and therefore not supported by Noto Sans’ default character set, thus showing up as a “?” on the mod. For it to work, you would have to download and install the specialised version of the Noto Sans family with the respective support for that character. In rare instances, characters that previously worked can suddenly stop working. In such a case, make sure to fully clear out the input field (CTRL + A, Delete) as some special characters can affect others, especially when experimenting with combining characters. I hope this explanation helps you in finding and creating your own stylish player tag! Happy Unicoding!

I have to disagree with almost everything you are saying here, sadly. Firstly, I think it is important to remember to be respectful when interacting with other players on the road or on the forum, so stereotyping players based on their names is the wrong way to go; there is no point in assuming someone is a bad driver because they may be from Türkiye, as you say. While the majority of players stick to the TMP rule set as well as real life traffic laws, there will always be some that treat Euro Truck Simulator 2 as a racing game – such players come from all over the world, not just Türkiye. Secondly, I can tell from personal experience that the rules are enforced a lot of the Calais ↔ Duisburg route. You can constantly see blue text in the chat box where someone was kicked or even banned. Plus, Game Moderation also shows a presence with visible role colours to their names and police livery – quite literally patrolling the route and taking action when they see a rule breaker – which also defeats your point of the Game and Report Moderation being incompetent. Even if no moderator is present, you can still file a report on your own accord if you think someone violated the rules: reporting them in-game allows you to directly select a reason and send the last two minutes up to the incident as a demo recording to online Game Moderation members. You may also – and this is likely the safer, more guaranteed method – file a report on the TMP website where every single report is looked at. So, if you find yourself in a lot of crashes, make sure to have a recording software running that support a replay buffer (like NVIDIA Instant Replay, Medal, or OBS Replay Buffer) and report people who made your experience less pleasant. You also mentioned that it is impossible to complete a tour of Calais ↔ Duisburg without taking nearly 100% damage to your cargo. I also think you are completely off with this statement. While C↔D is a harder route to forward cargo on, especially for newer players, you should figure out some key elements on how to safely travel there quite quickly: Sticking to the posted speed limit Keeping a safe distance to the player in front of you Leaving a gap where a road branches off during a traffic jam Anticipating that some players may not respect the current traffic laws (goes hand-in-hand with keeping a distance in order to stop) Just like in real life, do not try to force something just because you are in the right. Always expect others to make a sudden mistake. For instance, even if you have the right of way but you see someone coming down the highway exit ramp at 70 km/h, you should expect them to merge into your lane despite having to yield. If you just keep going full throttle without some precaution, you are likely to collide with them. Be smart, drive safe. I have no real issues when in Calais or Duisburg respectively. I do notice the FPS count going into the double digits, but nothing that would make me unable to properly control my truck or call it an unfun experience. It is always important to mind the capabilities of one's own computer. If your machine is not powerful enough to handle highly populated areas, consider avoiding them for your own good: it is likely no fun having to play with a stuttering game and you may also not be able to control your truck in dangerous situations (like braking, slowing down, stopping) which could get you punished in the end – even though punishments on lag-related issues have been lessened down, I think. The rest of the map has some really beautiful scenery – even more beautiful than the ones seen on C↔D – where it is less populated. Give areas like Türkiye, Greece, or the Iberia DLC region a try. In the end, you do not have to enjoy your time on C↔D. If you find yourself constantly being mad about your rides there, I would avoid the road all together. There are many other cool places to drive on, not just the stretch of road between a French and a German city. Go out and experiment a little to see what area you find most comfortable to drive through (make sure to get the DLC, preferably on a Steam sale where you can make a real bargain). If you really, really, really want to do some C↔D trucking, wait for the weekend and go on a nice, relaxing late-night ride at 3 AM (CET/CEST). C↔D is far more civil around that time.

I think when it comes to C–D, a healthy mix of both is best for me: On one hand, I really like driving alone or with a small group of people on more deserted parts of the map, exploring all the different areas it has to offer. I have recently taken a liking to the Greece DLC scenery and its unique company hubs. However, with the absence of AI traffic, driving alone can get boring at some point so when I really want to explore the MP aspect of TMP, I decide to go for a quick ride on C–D to see some of the chaos the multiplayer has in store. Getting through C–D without damage or major interruptions is really not an issue if you stick to the game's set speed limit of 60–80 km/h depending on where you are currently at and are just somewhat aware of what is going on around you. The long waiting times at the railway crossing or the highway exit near Calais are just the charm I sometimes need; the ‘bad’ drivers just help me test my reflexes. One more niche thing for me that C–D does better than any other part of the map: Due to the large amount of players passing through, you’ll end up seeing some interesting livery colour combinations, player tags, and usernames. Driving there often also has you meet some people over and over again, C–D regulars if you wish, who are always up for a nice chat—if you are safely parked up, of course. In the end, since TMP is a multiplayer mod, which is why I will always have a loving take toward C–D – while also not minding some calmer drives elsewhere.

Looking forward to it!
